last day of the tour – good food and more brocante

by Sharon Santoni
[blank]Well it’s hard to believe that the tour is already over, the four days just flew by!
Sunday got off to a bright start as we drove to a small market town to buy some provisions for the day and soak up a Sunday morning provincial French atmosphere.  Only 5 or 6 vendors at the little farmers market, each selling their home produced fruit, vegetables cheese and flowers.[blank]

[blank] Ten minutes later we were at Franck and Cécile’s home for the lesson in French cuisine, followed by lunch and an enjoyable browse around their brocante store.[blank]

[blank]The afternoon saw us at the last brocante store and then back to the château to share supper and finish packing![blank]

[blank] During the four days we saw a huge and wide selection of brocante to purchase, of ideas to inspire us, and images to keep us dreaming.[blank]
Thank you to everyone who has contacted me for information on brocante shopping in 2014.  I am working on some new schedules now, starting in March.
[blank]One of the biggest issues for buyers visiting France is how to get their treasure home.  For next year, I’ll be proposing tours that include  shared space in a container.   The first opportunity will most likely be for a container delivered to the West coast of the United States, but if you would like me to organise a tour for you and some of your friends, with a container arranged for you to fill just drop me a line and I’ll tell you how it works.[blank]

[blank]I hope you have enjoyed the images from the tour, tomorrow we’ll be back to business as usual![blank]

Sharon, one of your brocante tours is on my list, and the shared container idea is BRILLIANT. We were in L'Isle sur la Sorgue last month and saw so much that would be lovely in our home, but the shipping aspect was pretty overwhelming so we left it all behind – this has happened to me numerous time at the Paris puces, too. Keep us posted. I'm glad this last trip was such a success and hope that I can join one someday! XO

You really do make your tours packed full of wonderful things to do. If I didn't already live in Franve , I'd certainly want to join you.

Sounds like it was a wonderful time….and think your idea of shared containers is a very smart one, it will be a great incentive for people to buy even more! Thanks for sharing the beautiful hightlights.
