saying goodbye to the summer ….

by Sharon Santoni
[blank]Summer is fading fast here, and although the temperatures haven’t dropped too drastically the palette of colours on our everyday landscapes is simply no longer the same.[blank]
[blank]So before we are fully into autumn with it’s pumpkins, and bright orange forests, and deep brown ploughed fields, I thought I’d wave goodbye to the summer by remembering some of the pretties moments along our valley.[blank]

What a beautiful valley you live in Sharon; I love these pictures!! I'm American and I took four years of French in high school many years ago. About that same time, my sweet mom gave me a small coffee-table book about France; it was mostly pictures with very little text. I remember seeing pictures of the Normandy region and thinking that's where I wanted to go in France. Seeing your pictures reminds me of that book (I still have it today).

Enjoy these lovely last days of summer. It's a beautiful time of year where we live, as well.

Hugs,

Denise

Impressive photos ! impressionnantes photos (ai-je bien dit en anglais ?)
Where I live we had fog (brume) early each morning for the past 10 days, with the sun rising behind. Over the lake, it was magic and my husband took photos each morning ! You live in a beautiful part of Normandy. You know how to catch the magic of you environment ! Have a good day or evening !

Stunning pictures!
Yes, Autumn is definitely here too! Although we are having warmish weather, one can feel it in the breezes, like whispers in your heart, one just knows its Fall.
Thank you for the pictures, they give my eyes a rest from suburb living!

I read you constantly but rarely comment. Those pictures ….. all I could think is that it must be amazing to live there. I love Texas but I heart France. Sigh…..thanks.

Why is it that I find the misty photos so appealing? It's as if a sweet enchantment has come upon the landscape, softening the lines and muting the colours. The one of the village just makes me sigh with longing.

Gorgeous photos from the enchanted land that you have. You are saying goodbye to your summer, we here in Arizona are saying good riddance to ours. Our days are slowly cooling down, the mornings and the evenings are divine to say the least. This is what we wait for all year long.
