the autumn harvest

by Sharon Santoni
One of the dangers when you have a blog is that you get easily sidetracked.

One minute you’re in the garden, collecting a few apples for an evening dessert, and the next you’re thinking “how lovely those apples would look with that yellow and red dahlia…”  and before you know it, there’s a tripod set up on the terrace and photos are taken, but still no dessert prepared … hmmm ….

Blogging is indeed a dangerous past time.
So here is the result,
quickly laid out on a table on the terrace,
have to love the colours and the perfumes of the fall.
I don’t have time to write more today,
you know some girls have pies to bake!

I too get distracted, & think 'oh I must get the camera, that would be great for a post. only last weekend I was potting up cuttings & was distracted by a lizard ' popping about in front of me. & posted it on my blog. So glad you were distracted & we were able to see your pictures showing the lovely dahlias & the apples for your dessert, I'm sure you made something delicious. Have a lovely weekend.

Bonjour,

Le décor est planté… On pourrait saisir les pinceaux et travailler avec ce joli modèle.
Gros bisous et bonne dégustation pour les douceurs aux pommes.

It's so often that the "distractions" make life more interesting. But what did you make for dessert ? Love your blog always.

What a stunning Dahlia. I adore Dahlias and love seeing all of yours. In your photo shoot, desert was already made, a freshly picked new season apple, that is the perfect end to a meal. Nothing more needed.

Fall is my favorite season and I look forward to spending a little bit of it in France when I arrive in Normandy in a few days. I wonder where I should look for the most color! Thanks for whetting my appetite this morning – I'm already salivating for one of those crisp country apples! Vicky from Georgia
