enjoying pre-christmas

by Sharon Santoni

The great thing about having friends who move around at Christmas, is that there is always an excuse to lay a table and share a ‘christmas’ meal, well before the big day arrives.

It makes the house feel so much more festive to have lots of visits and entertaining before and after the big day.

This weekend is no exception, and here are just a few impressions of our lead up to christmas, a couple of the tables that have been laid and some of the decorations that move around regularly and adapt to the occasion!

Tomorrow I shall at last have all of our clan under one roof for the week, and I am so looking forward to savouring every second.

Hope that all your shopping is done and that you too have enjoyed some quality time this weekend.

Ooooh, Sharon, your home looks so inviting! Mind if I pop over for a cup of Christmas cheer? Gibson and Ghetto look like they’re snuggled down as they anticipate a visit from Old St. Nick! Do you/will you have snow on Christmas? It’s 72 degrees in No. Georgia today – unusually high. Thanks for sharing.

Sharon, it is all so beautiful. I love les pivoines mixed in with the Christmasey bits especially–all of the mauve works beautifully together–leave it to you to come up with such a subtle but unique take. But I have to say…nothing can top the sweetness of G&G.

Wishing you much, much happiness as the year rolls out. Everyone is home? You lucky duck!
Bisous,
Heather

Hi Sharon,

Your home looks stunning!! I love the elegance of it, but even more, I love the photo of Ghetto and Gibson. They look so cozy.

Today some cooking and baking will happen, but our 5 year old grandson is now here and he keeps us busy. He will help us with baking Christmas cookies, messes will happen, but what could be better than sharing something special with a child?

Have a wonderful week filled with love and laughter.

Joyeaux Noel,

Linda

Having family gather together under one roof is such a delight. I just love it when all of my children (and now 2 little grandchildren) are here together – my heart swells with joy and contentment at those moments.

A very Merry and Blessed Christmas to you and yours, Sharon. Joyeux Noel.
