If my post today is a tad flowery and feminine, it is responding to a need …. ….how can I put this?
My daughters are both away, and I find myself, most of the time, at home with two sons, a husband, two boy dogs and three boy horses ….. are you getting the picture?
Add to that, the start of the Six Nation Rugby tournament on the tv and two more boys invited for supper, and I find myself craving a dose of pink!
So here for you is a glimpse of my Sunday afternoon, in front of the fire, with a new book, a cup of oolong, and a lovely bouquet of roses placed within smelling reach.
A girl has to do what a girl has to do …..
hope you’re getting a little tenderness this weekend!

I feel the same here (if that could be usefull for you !)
What a lovely thought, roses, fire and a good book about Paris, oui Madame, Merci beaucoup!
That’s an awesome touch of pink! Just beautiful!
So beautiful, Sharon,
I totally understand what you are saying. Our daughter lives three hours from us, and sometimes I just need to put a feminine touch on something in our home. And, about the televised rugby games – here we have just finished our football season, and Sunday’s are filled with football games and parties in most homes in our area. Since our Seattle football team won the Super Bowl a week ago, this has been a very exciting season for us. Now it is time for feminine pursuits like shopping.
Beautiful post.

What beauty you have near you Sharon. I can certainly see why you are in need of the feminine touches here. Hope your relaxation time was undisturbed. Tenderness wishes to you as well this week Sharon. X
Beautiful post, similar David Austin roses in my most recent painting! I’ve often wondered if not for my husband, would my home be pinker? Now I know I am not alone!
xoxo, Chris
Beautiful roses for a beautiful lady.
Love your blog and lots of my fave pinterest pins are yours
I think pink roses are a gentle reminder to the ‘boys’ that there is a lady in the house {and sometimes they forget that while they are cheering on their favourite team}.
Enjoy the fragrance of the roses and the tranquility. Sigh!
Bonjour!
I get it, my daughters were my two oldest, my two boys were the youngest and as much as you love the men in your life, it’s still testosterone overload at times! And oh, don’t even get me started on the sports! I did learn that pretty quick, though, I picked a football team to follow (sort of) so that I could enjoy (tolerate) all the games along with them. Why did I pick the team I chose? Because of the colors of their jersey’s, is there any other reason? Lol! My boys laugh about that to this day, they are my hero’s and I don’t know what I would have done without them! Except possibly more pink & lace! Love your blog, and I will live in France someday! God willing! Be blessed!
I laughed out loud. I needed that, what a wonderful post. My weekend was a weekend of sadness and funerals. We all need tenderness. Thank you for sharing.
Ah pink. A touch of spring as we face more snow. And we just got our power back after 3 days. More pink would not go amiss.
Agree!!! I am not a pink kind of gal, but yet I sometimes do need a pink injection in this all boy household too!! Flowers such the perfect and fragrant way to do it.

Lucky Girl !!!!! Pink!!!!! The color of love.
What a lovely way to spend the afternoon, and a sensible one. Tea is always nicer from such a beautiful cup and saucer — and love your mix of roses and eucalyptus.
Lovely Sharon, I think your planned perfectly for a pretty Sunday.. Hope it was as beautiful as it looks. XO
I love the color pink, in the summer my garden is full of pink roses. My two sons have been raised with a house full of pink roses so they have developed a for love pink roses. I think they will surprise their wives when they bring pink roses home to them. LOL
I love pink too, there is nothing nicer for the soul than a lovely cuppa, a good book and a beautiful vase of roses and aren’t these just a perfect specimen.
Totally understand this post Sharon. Mother to two sons, and boy dog . Rugby here in NZ goes 11 months of the year. That is a lot of rugby!!!! Roses, a book and a fire a very good antidote. 🙂
Lovely roses! We had a very nice relaxing weekend at home with a fire! I agree, A girl has to do what a girl has to do!
We all need a little softness in our lives. I think you have picked a proper pink.

so much more fragrant than boys
Your post is delightful. Whenever I am feeling a little pale, I swing a pink scarf around my neck or a pink sweater (it’s winter in NJ) and I begin to feel “in the pink”. I believe colors have an impact on our state of mind, heart and soul.
Sounds lovely! I have 3 boys, a hubby, and 2 male cats.
when is your online shoppe opening?

Thanks for your write-up. I would also love to remark that the first thing you will need to perform is check if you really need credit repair.
To do that you must get your hands on a replica of
your credit rating. That should not be difficult, ever since the government mandates that
you are allowed to obtain one free copy of your real credit report annually.
You just have to check with the right men and women. You
can either browse the website for that Federal
Trade Commission as well as contact one of the major credit agencies instantly.
