Thank you to everyone who sent such kind messages to comfort me in my moment of motherly melt down!

Promenade

Needless to say I have rallied and am now in Nice with said daughter, and looking forward to helping her and her sister move into their new appartment.   They are happy, bright and excited about this new stage in their lives, and I am happy to see that!

The next couple of days will leave me little time to blog properly, but if you would like to keep up with all the yummy things I see in Nice, then pop on over to my instagram page, where I’ll be snapping away all day!

You will have a wonderful time in Nice and I am sure you will have much delight in helping said ‘daughters’ to move into their new abode – I wont call it home as a home will always be with mum & dad…Look at them and be proud that you can share, see and feel the joy and happiness in this next chapter of their lives…..Enjoy shopping in Nice…xx

The opportunity to live in Nice, even for a short time, is a great adventure for your girls. Such a wonderful city and an inspired choice by them. You know that you are going to enjoy visiting them there, often.

How lovely! My daughter lives in Paris, and I in Canada, so I am well acquainted with the “pangs” of daughters moving away, and the excitement of visiting them. I was in Nice for the first time last October, and I just loved it! I am very much looking forward to seeing more of your daughter’s new home town. Enjoy your time together!

Hello Sharon,
I grew up in Nice and it was fantastic but when we are small we don’t realise how lucky we are ! Each time I see some pictures I always think it’s one of my favorite place in the world, it gives me emotions probably dues to childhood. Take your time enjoy Nice and to help your daughters in their new life.

When my first child left for college, I cried for 3 weeks prior. I finally had to close the door to his room because I would cry each time I passed that empty room. And I knew he would be coming home for breaks and for summer! I understand just how you feel, but if am sure you will gain strength in knowing you can visit whenever you choose. Also, knowing they are happy makes a world of difference.
