I am so excited and ever-so-slightly-nervous to bring you this first in depth home decor video. We shot the film a few weeks ago, and since there has been time spent on editing and also pulling together some ideas for those of you who are inspired by the look.
The video is available on the My French Country Home You Tube channel.
I receive a lot of emails asking for advice on authentic French home decor, so I have created these mood boards for you, with links showing where to find everything. Whenever possible I picked antique pieces. As disclosure I’ll add that some of the links may earn me a commission … let’s say if that happens, I can increase my budget for the next video!
1. candle holders 2. sunburst mirror 3. antique french lithograph 4. antique french lithograph 5. sofa 6. aubusson bird cushion 7. aubusson cushion 8. small desk
We shot this video in the picture-perfect town of Belleme, about an hour from my house. It was a cold day, but we received a warm welcome from Josiane Lenoir at the Hotel de Suhard and from several of the antique dealers in the town. The day was spent first of all with Josiane, then a lovely lunch followed by some antique shopping – the dealers opening their doors just for us – happy days!
1. tall dresser 2.chandelier 3. still life painting 4. pillows 5. willow basket 6. rolling pins 7.wooden board 8. console table 9. fruit canning jars 10. le creuset cooking pot11. white soup tureen
As you know, these videos are a new adventure for me and the blog, and I would love to have your feedback and your ideas for what else you would like to see. The shooting calendar is already planned for the next couple of months but I’ll be open to ideas for later in the spring. It’s amazing how much time and planning each film takes to arrange, shoot and edit, so I’d like to think that I’m showing you the stuff you most want to see!
And if you’d like to stay updated with any new videos we create, be sure to subscribe to the YouTube channel – Merci!

Enjoyable video – thank you. Would have liked it much better without the dreadful background music though. It would be so much nicer to hear a few snippets of the actual conversations. If you do have to have a music soundtrack then just about anything would be better!
Thank you Justine, I shall bear that in mind for next time. I think the music is about the hardest thing to get right!
It is indeed and there is the copyright issue to avoid as well. There are some lovely pieces of music on this site which I have found in the past to be a royalty free treasure trove of tracks. http://www.audionetwork.com
Best of luck with your future productions!
try classical guitar…unassuming
I am a faithful reader of your blog and I love the fact that you have made a video with you as the star! – Wonderful! I look forward to many more
Shelby de Quesada
Agree.
I agree with you Justine about the music track. I would prefer to hear actual conversation as well or the surrounding sounds.
The music did not bother me in the least. I appreciated this video.
Thank you,
Deborah Young
I was just thinking the same thing about the music. It really distracts from the beautiful video. I look forward to seeing more of them…thanks for sharing!
Be still my heart! Beautiful! Thank you Sharon for this lovely video! I look forward to the next.
thank you Jeanine, hopefully I’ll have something new in a few weeks time
A brilliant concept.
Keep going as it differentiates you from the hundreds of other blogs on the same / similar subject. A living blog.
Merci beaucoup John, I appreciate that
Well said John! I totally agree – so unique and I quite enjoyed it!
I loved the video! The music didn’t bother me but I agree maybe hearing the conversations would be appealing too. Very well done and so much better than just photographs and text. Thank you!
I’ll work on that Dianne, recording conversations changes a lot in the dynamics of filming and also viewing . Definitely food for thought and I appreciate your input, thank you
Bra-va! Oh, my that is just a fantastic video…honestly, that dives right into the best of “the real thing” that France has to offer – and I know of what I speak as I am entering into my 15th year of living here – than I have seen in a really, really long time (I would say ‘probably ever’ but I know that you would just roll your eyes at me!). But you just nailed it…The depth of beauty, the appreciation for history, all while taking the best of the past and moving forward in a unique way.
Really looking ahead for the rest…
Gros Bisous from Provence,
H
many thanks my friend, as always you are very generous
x
How fun! Very much enjoyed this snippet of France. If I were you I would not change a thing. Your lovely voice is the icing. Merci….
thank you Sally, it’s all a steep learning curve, but that’s what is fun!
The swan at the first antique dealer is fabulous . Would you please let me know how I might purchase it? I love your blog , bonne sior, Kim
I also love that swan Kim, but I have nowhere to display it here. I’ll email you privately with the details
Sharon-your first video attempt was lovely. The material was very interesting and you have a wonderful, well modulated voice! However, could you turn down the music, please!
Thank you Jane, I’m glad you found it interesting, and yes, I shall definitely rethink the music for the next videos
🙂
Charming video. Thank you ever so much. Perhaps the music could be eliminated as I did not find it too pleasant.
Hopefully you will be making more of these delightful videos.
I’m not sure if you meant us to click on the links in your story, but when I did, I got a message that the link can’t be shown/is invalid. The only ones where the link worked were for Kathy Kuo Home.
It’s a very nice video, very well done. It feels personal and as if you were present, not viewing from half a planet away.
One small thing: Next time, leave the screen with the “thanks to” credits up a trifle longer. For those of us who read credits, it vanished far too quickly.
Thank you Emm, I don’t know what happened there, but it is fixed now … I hope!!
Thank you so much!! Just lovely, Sharon. You made my day. This brought back wonderful memories of my trips to France and Europe.
thank you Valerie 🙂
I love the video and look forward to seeing more in the future. I am having a hard time with the links that you provided. I am not taken anywhere. Has anyone else had a problem? Thanks so much and keep up the creativity! It is good for your soul.
Rose
Sorry Rose, there was a temporary blip with the links, abut I think it is working now.
So glad you like the video
x
Hi Sharon, question: Were we supposed to be able to click on the items and go to a purchase place? If so it is saying the site is broken. Wondered is all. In the mean time loved the small glimpses into your world.
Bonne sior,
Mary
Well done with this lovely video. Thoroughly enjoyed it, including the background music ! I have always been interested in Interior Decoration and have a qualification in it. Trying to furnish my french house sensitively & that we have very similar taste !
I just loved your video. I understand the complexity of the work, as my son is in the film industry. Well done, Sharon. Look so forward to your upcoming interviews, lessons and experiences in France. Merci en Austin
I LOVED it!
Love the video, your blog, your book! But, agree the background music(?) was repetitive and very annoying, and definitely detracted from my enjoyment. Love the visuals. Watched it a second time with the sound muted and could concentrate more on the beautiful settings, furniture and objets. Looking forward to the next one….
Love watching your videos Sharon they are very inspiring !! I am currently renovating a property in England that has a very French feel ! Look forward to the next one Merci
Wow – what fun and so well thought out, Sharon! I know that the amount of footage you shot, and the amount of editing you did must have been a huge undertaking, to end up with such a smooth and charming video. Well worth it!!
I agree about the music. To me it sounds canned and doesn’t fit the feel of the video. I guess I would prefer no music, and perhaps a bit more narration. You do have a lovely voice, so go for it!
Charming video, I enjoyed having a behind the scenes peek, So original, I think you did a fabulous job.
Bonjour Sharon! Just had to take a moment to tell you this last video offering is just lovely! It is perfect! I loved the music, the mood, visuals, narration and pace! As a broadcast news vet, I absolutely love how you put it together! Keep up the amazing work my friend of many talents! Xx Kimberly
Really love it
Brilliant. Enjoyed every minute of it, even the music, though some found it off putting, I did not. Your voice has a lovely countenance to it and is the “icing on the cake” so to speak. I especially appreciated the peak into the addresses as these are the type of activities I much prefer to incorporate into my travels rather than the common landmarks so many travelers seek out. I am putting together a trip to France, along with my husband in celebration of 30 yrs of marriage, for later in the year and will most definitely be referring to your blog and videos for references, accommodations and the like. So glad to have found you and your French Country Home! Would love to stay at your lovely B & B.
Sharon,
you have a fantastic idea here – the videos are going to be fantastic to watch and learn
‘the french way’. Please use your incredible speaking voice to discuss with owners
their back stories, wisdom learned, and resources
Music in background is a distraction.
Barb
Beautiful, informative video. I emmersed myself in the subtle hues and everyday luxuries. Thank you for producing this video, I hope you can do more as I so enjoyed this one!
I liked this video and your previous one. Thank you for all your hard work and generosity. I too, found the music distracting and would enjoy a softer melody. Also, because your accent is different from mine, I had some difficulty understanding your words. Perhaps if you slowed your speech down a bit, I and perhaps others might undertand what you are telling. I’m sorry to sound critical, I love what you are doing so please continue. Just offering my own critiques in hopes of a more enjoyable experience without distractions.
Thank you for the video! What a nice mid-week treat:)
Sharon, While I enjoyed the video I too felt the music was distracting. Also, it appears the French styling and decor you are featuring is more formal. I was wondering if perhaps in a later video, would you be expressing more of a Country French look?
I look forward to seeing more and appreciate the amount of time and focus on detail, that goes into a project like this.
This is a lovely video-except for the background music when you are speaking. If you could reduce the volume of that music when you are speaking it would be perfect! I love to hear your voice and what you have to teach us on these excursions. Thank you!
Hi Sharon, I really think that this video stands out from everything else you’ve done. It’s really good and I would love to see more and more of these, even if it’s just a wander around a house and a pretty village. It’s lovely to see real peoples decoration styles. I agree however about the music, it began to nag a little from about half way through, but mainly because it’s a repetitive tune and too loud in comparison to the level of your voice. If it faded into the background more it may work even with that tune. I think it is just a question of balance. Keep them coming!
Miranda
I enjoyed riding along with you through the countryside and stopping at such a beautifully aged village. It was fun to see treasures revealed behind closed doors. I especially enjoyed the chandeliers made from unusual objects. I agree with other comments that it would be lovely to hear snippets of conversation. That would help draw us into the French experience. Not knowing the cost of the antiques that were shown I will suggest that you do a mix of very affordable to higher end. Thank you for taking us into places that we wouldn’t typically see. Personally, I could wander endlessly through each location and I look forward, in anticipation, to what you will share in the future.
I agree about the music – we don’t need it really. The video and commentary is everything we could possibly want! Love the idea of the videos and can’t wait to see more. With even more detail! Please ma’am, may we have some more?! From Cape Town, South Africa.
Wonderful video, showing places most of us will never see in person! Thanks for sharing…only suggestion: repetitive music is maddening!
Thank you.
Bravo, I always love videos or podcast about my favourite subject, interiors and yours will be a new addition to the few that are out there, thank you and congratulations! Here’s to many more.
Lovely video. Well paced and your voice adds a lovely layer as you describe what we are viewing. The background music was a bit much as I was focusing on your words. I found it distracting. Thank you for this peek at such lovely places. Looking ahead to more of these delights.
I just reread my comment and had so say….I really do have a larger vocabulary that includes more than the word “lovely” I used it 3 times in my comment! Must be the word of the day.
Thank you for such a lovely video, Sharon. I enjoyed every step of the way. It’s all so inviting.
Truly charming video that I so very much enjoyed. You and your voice are perfect for these ongoing videos. It does make me long for more but I know this is expensive & oh so time consuming. X
This video has my imagination running overtime: a great midweek treat before I dash off to work. As usual, you have pitched your content perfectly for your readers and your voice in the commentary is delightful.
Congratulations on yet another magnificent production.
Amicalement Elizabeth.
Sharon – it’s a lovely video! I had no problem with the music at all. In fact I think a little background music is almost necessary in some places as a bridge from one location to the next. I agree with those who’ve said they’d like to hear snippets of conversation . . . even though I wouldn’t understand a word of it. I’m so excited that you’re doing this – it makes me feel as if I have met and know you. As some have said your voice is the icing on the cake! Can’t wait for the next one!
Merci boucoup!
Vicky
I very much enjoyed the video! Keep them coming! Looking forward to more!
Sharon, I am truly enjoying these videos. This makes me want to shop over there again.
Well done! I look forward to the next one!
Huge congratulations, fabulous video and a great achievement, you must be very proud, loved all of it x
That was lovely! Thank-you for focusing on some of the small details. They really do make a “look”.
Love love it ..sending it to my friends.
As you do more and more of them you will have the most amazing collection of videos.
Maybe you can do tours for the BBC
Loved your video! I read a few of the comments about their dislike of the music, but I didn’t mind it at all
It’s lovely Sharon! I enjoyed the music as it seemed to give an ambiance all its own. So in love with all things French!!!!
Loved the video too! But not so much the music. Your voice is just beautiful and I could listen to you all day!
Perfect for me. Loved the tour, the art, antiques and the finite detail. Look forward to
the next dreamy video. The grays are inspirational. Thank you Sharon, for sharing all this with
your bloggers. AFN
Oh my gracious! Sharon, this video has made my day…so fun and exciting to watch! I just adored it and would not change a thing! It was very professional, and you looked and sounded fantastic. I’m so proud of you! Can’t wait for the next one! Merci, Merci, Merci!
Dear Sharon,
Thank you, I really enjoyed the video, and can’t wait for the next one!,
I did not find the music offensive, however, agree that some conversation would be good.
I have a birthday coming up, and am getting your book, so just can’t wait!!!
Thanks again
Jodie
I so enjoyed this video. As many of the others have mentioned, the music became annoying, however your voice is lovely and modulated. I adored the quirky lamps that the gentleman with the pretty pink scarf creates, I would love to have one. I was hoping you might mention the paint swatch colours, very pretty. Quite a new endeavour, you’re very adventurous! Good luck.
Just loved this video, please can we have more? Interesting that these wonderful brocantes are hidden away. I would have liked to see the objects a little longer. Loved your voice, so soothing and easy to listen to. Are you able to give rough guide prices on the antiques?
Charming video but the music became like an annoying ringtone ! I would think people are more interested in the narration. Good first effort .
Good Morning Sharon, what a treat! Thank you for sharing beauty. I love the Swan and I very much admire the workmanship of the antique frames. I could not improve on your wonderful work. Till next time, regards Esther from Sydney. PS you look and sound beautiful, as for the music, how about Debussy?
I really loved it! Brings your part of the world to me. I agree with others, perhaps softer music next time. Lynne
Well done and enjoyable, thank you for taking your time. Always appreciated. I look forward each day to seeing your web site!
Just fantastic! I’m sure this was an incredible amount of work, and what a lovely result. I can’t wait for more in the series. As others have said, more backstory on the owners / residents would be delicious, but no doubt, even more work.
How fortunate we are to get to enjoy this kind of visit and your expertise. Merci mille fois, Sharon.
Thank you so much for a visit back home from Texas. Beautiful, authentic and I love the narrative and the music you selected. Merci beaucoup.
C’est tres belle. Terrific video and charming village, hotel and shops. Thank you so much!
Such a refreshing approach into the world of design and antiques. You held my interest throughout the entire video. I do appreciate your talent and willingness to experiment.
A thrilling first attempt.
Thank you, thank you, thank you! The video was lovely! I love all things French and I have limited access to them so this is so very interesting to me! I hope you continue to make these little vignettes. So chic! Merci!
Bonjour Sharon,
I have been reading your lovely blog for some time now but am really commenting for the first time. As a French expat living in England for the past twenty years, I find your articles delightful as they often remind me of home but at the same time, allow me to appreciate through the eyes of real francophiles what I always took for granted while growing up in France.
I’ve truly enjoyed this new video (except the annoying sound track), and the elegant way you have of introducing French styles to your readers. It’s made me want to see more of the same, it’s a wonderful way to discover new addresses of beautiful antique shops and very pretty towns. I’ll certainly make a détour by Belleme next time I am holidaying in the area. Merci et bravo!
Thank you so much Sharon for taking the time for us to meet these
lovely people and there beautiful shops, and a thank you to your friend
for opening up here beautiful home. You did a fantastic job and look like a pro, and your voice is also beautiful. very serene. Thanks again from California, Teresa
Beautiful video. I so enjoyed it.
Linda from Washington state
I think you did a great job, and you have a nice, pleasant voice. I did not find the music too annoying; having done a few videos myself I know the problem with picking music! I too wish you would show more of a high/low mix of objects. Not everyone can afford, or would want to buy, light fixtures that are thousands of dollars. Even though I could buy it if I wished, I am not addicted to shopping. I just like to look and enjoy. You could take us to a rural village market or cheese store and it would be just as much fun for my taste.
Hi Sharon,
Wonderful video, what a great idea to do a live viewing. I am so looking forward to the next one. Congratulations on a beautiful presentation. Lillian
Absolutely wonderful!!! Thank you so much. You have the most beautiful voice. I can’t wait for the next video.
Simply fabulous- loved it!
Hi Sharon – it’s me again. I can’t believe so many of your followers found the music annoying. It was so subdued and understated. I knew it was there and somewhat repetitive but never thought it annoying. Guess I was too caught up in the video to have it bother me. It’s funny what bugs people. Please keep up the wonderful work – I can hardly wait for your next post. I am NEVER disappointed. Nor do I feel the need to complain!!
Merci!
Vicky
Brilliant idea! Loved every minute of the video, and the music was just fine:-)
Destination, next trip!
Would not know this is your first video. Professional, and truly lovely and interesting from start to finish
Thank you, dear Sharon!
Lovely and enticing.
I enjoyed seeing you in action and hearing you narrate!
Oh Sharon, what a Wonderful video! The music was a little too much towards the end, I agree with what seems like the majority of those who have written before me. So looking forward to more!
Sharon, congratulations on the video, lovely job. I look forward to the coming videos. I think that it is so nice that the gentleman who made the lamps was interested in the person that would take home his lamp , as if they were in effect “adopting” a dear pet. Speaking of pet a enjoyed your inclusion of the cute dog on the steps.. I hate to finish with a negative comment, however I believe that the music could be left out or a different melody… Please know that the music would not stop me from enjoying it again.
Sharon, a million “Merci’s” from myself and my Francophile friends in Ontario, Canada. I love your blog, and now your videos. I always put on my French music when trying to re-create a small area in my humble home to give it the flavour of France. You are an inspiration!
Loved it!
This is so beautiful Sharon, thank you so much for sharing your beautiful world with us. I could (and probably will) watch this video over, and over and over. I love your softly spoken and eloquent voice, and I too would choose a different, more soothing and relaxing piece of music, probably gentle classical, so that your voice isn’t overshadowed.
Thank you so much again, I shall look forward to many more.
Warmest wishes,
Bev
A beautiful tour. Thank you!
I agree that you could soften or, better yet, completely skip the music, because you have a lovely voice and you speak so well.
Hi Sharon,
Just loved your video, so interesting seeing what is available overseas, makes us want to start planning our next vacation. You did a wonderful job of narrating, very clear. I look forward to your next video. Congratulations!
Wow, what a wonderful world depicted in an amazing video, so well done. Your voice is perfect and the luminous close-ups are beautiful. The music, whilst acceptable to some, would benefit from a selection which reflects the tenor and soothing quality of your voice and the beauty of the interiors (and exteriors) – whilst avoiding cliche, perhaps something even more french and mix it up a bit – a little Joe Dassin (la-lala, la-la-la-la-la-lala) or some Carla Bruni or Charlotte Gainsbourg during the no-talk spots – Oh my, everybody a director, you will find the perfect music, what a lovely challenge. The camera work is great, just some of the longer shots, eg of the sitting room on entry, whilst atmospheric, I found a little dark. This has to be your new career – your video is exactly the kind of stuff I’d love to see on TV – Sophie Dahl on cooking, Ines de la Fresange on fashion and Sharon Santoni on french interior and design. Magnifique! From an appreciative follower.
Oh Yes I am loving this new addition to your blog. Looking forward to more.
Sharon thank you for this beautiful video! I am a follower of your blog and love your latest book…I look forward to more! We are an American family living in Paris now for almost 4 years and I would love to get out to your neck of the woods sometime for some shopping. As much as I love the Paris flea markets..I think I would get better bargains in the country! bisous xx Pamela
Beautiful video, really enjoyed it. But I also found the back ground music distracting. Look forward to to seeing more. Kym x
I was so lucky to celebrate my 40th in June at Hotel Suhard! It was simply fabulous! Highly recommended and a treat for the decor lover!
Congratulations – a beautiful video to watch, l look forward to many more
Hello Sharon, enjoyed your video, your voice is just beautiful.Hope you will do more of these videos in the the future .Everthing you do is always interesting and really look forward to picking up my iPad to find an email from you.All the very best for 2016.Elvie Western Australia
Bravo Bravo!!! Well done! Absolutely loved it! And to be very honest I was far too absorbed with listening to your every word, my eyes following you around so as to marvel at all those incredibly beautiful things . . . to be too interested in the music. And you fitted right in looking so very beautiful too.
I thought you presented a superb and interesting video; look forward to many more!
Sharon,
You are an inspiration to create, take chances and grow. The video is delightful and a tonic for the icy, gray weather here. When traveling I used to look only at location and budget fit in terms of where I stayed. Increasingly my surroundings play a much larger part in my decision. I want to feel peaceful. The Hotel de Suhard will be a destination spot for me.
Lovely video Sharon! Agree that this particular music is rather distracting and a little grating. A softer background music would be better I think. It would be good to hear some of the conversations or the sounds in the room as it would enhance that feeling of being there with you. Future videos – country homes showing surrounding countryside, an old property being renovated in a series of videos – fashion video? Go for it! Looking forward to more.
LOVED IT! Thank you so much. It made this internet world so much more personal being able to hear your voice, see you “in person” so to speak. Loved the tour and look forward to more.
I loved the video! It takes your already wonderful blog to a whole new dimension. Please don’t wait too long to produce another. Fantastic.
What a delightful video and look forward to more. Makes me wish I could jump on a plane and be there. Thanks for giving us a chance to flavor French living thru this venue…
Love the B & B.
Beautiful…………
Ambitious project, well executed and you will get the music right as you learn about the medium. Have fun making the next one.
As a reader who travels France vicariously via your blog, I loved your first video! Only suggestion: you have a wonderfully soothing voice but the music overpowered it … or is it just my type of old age hearing loss?! Keep up the excellent work!
Bravo, Sharon! I very much enjoyed this video. I hope you will produce more of them. Greetings from Atlanta, Georgia!
Sharon, absolutely loved your video. I felt like I was strolling through Normandy this morning. Please keep ’em coming!
And, may I suggest La Closerie des Millets for your video series. I am not sure if I’m the only one who knows about this Pays d’Auge inn. My family stayed there in 2013 and the owner, Patrick, could be one of your “boyfriends” for the video series. I think you will absolutely love his taste. There is also a resident puppy dog named Axel who could be instant friends with Gibson and Ghetto.
All the best to you!
Thank you Sharon for this video ! It is very interesting and well made. I can see a real piece of France from my Tuscan piece of world. claudiag
Interesting but in reality its very rare to find French people living with such style .
I enjoyed the film but the music was too intrusive and gave me a headache.
I hope you don’t think I’m being negative its just so many people come to France expecting to find the ” French Dream ” as shown in so many, many magazines and the reality is somewhat different.
That is interesting Diane – I think the joy of this blog is that the author finds beauty in everyday life and everyone likes to dream a little!
For a balanced point of view though – could you briefly expand on your insight and give any of your own experiences of the reality as you find it for people thinking of a future in France?
HI Diane
So sorry that the music gave you a headache, I’ll be choosing something different for the next videos 🙂
I think it’s obvious to everyone that there are many different styles of house and living in any country. I happen to have a lot of friend and acquaintances, from different walks of life, and ‘social status’ who each live in a very elegant, stylish and creative manner.
That is exactly what I showed in my book My Stylish French Girlfriends.
Of course not everything in France is perfect, and my readers are bright enough to guess that, but on this blog and now through the videos it is my pleasure to highlight the places and people that I love. I never lie on the blog and never portray something for what it is not.
I have learnt that highlighting the positive is good for the soul!
wishing you a lovely day …. here the sky is low and grey but the colours and the light are beautiful – I’m off to take some photos!

Sharon,
What a simply beautiful video. Loved the gorgeous home, the shops, seeing lovely you, hearing your informative dialog, and the pretty music! Bravo!
Thank you for the lovely video, Sharon. It was so nice to hear your beautiful voice again. I always look forward to whatever your next endeavor is.
Hi Sharon,
I thought the video was very lovely and unique. Brava! Keep them coming. I too think you have a lovely voice for narration and an amazing style.
Cathy in S.B.
Thank you so much for the wonderful video! Very inspirational to watch, helping me to bring France into my décor. Your blog is my favorite as you capture all the colors and design that I love. I am very excited to see your blog every day. I would love to visit you in France but I do not think that will happen. Until tomorrow Thanks again for sharing and you have a beautiful voice.
Maude Ciardi
Hi Sharon,
The video was a pleasure visually; and what an undertaking! One of my favorite parts was visiting the charming antique stores, with their proprietors seemingly fascinated with their merchandise and with sharing its history. I do agree with many others about the music. I found the volume often drowning out your narration…and what you had to say was what interested me rather than the music. Perhaps, as someone
suggested, soft guitar music would be more effective. All in all, a praiseworthy accomplishment.
Hi Sharon,
Just wanted to weigh in here! I loved this video. Such a great idea and so well done. About the music…though it was loud, I didn’t pay much attention to it, at first, then, because the notes were so repetitive, it began to feel like a hammer on my ears. Because of that, I found it was interfering with your voice, distracting me from your words. I listened to it again, to be certain of what I am saying. I think, if you feel music adds to the video, perhaps it should be something softer, lighter…a sound that lets your voice be heard over it…music that gently supports the theme and atmosphere of your content. Anyway, loved the video and you!
Beautiful video! Felt like I was actually there – the colors are lovely, and your voice as narrator is just perfect. I’m re-doing my house in Northern California, and the color inspiration from your blog, book and now this video are just what I’ve been looking for! Excited to see what’s next.
Beautiful video and loved the music, although it sounded a bit like there was a scrub jay in the music track!
That was lovely. I stepped through the looking glass and arrived in France! Fun! I loved the plate or bowl that had the pine cones in it, plus everything else!!!
Thank you so much for this beautiful video and allowing us to be immersed into such an elegant and special culture. I felt transported to France and took in every detail again and again. I look forward to your next installment. Thank you again.
loved it Sharon, thank you so much, felt like I was there in person.
Sharon,
Lovely, engaging, inspiring… The pace and music gives the viewer the chance to “experience” with you, to be along side of you sitting on the settee and enjoying the conversation. And as I told the HGTV producer your voice over lay is perfection… Bravo. I hope she picks you up, not only for you but for all of us as well. xx Rié
YOU LOOK RADIANT!
I cannot BeLIEVE my EYES!!!!
BRAVA!WELL DONE!
XX
Loved it so much!!
Incredible Sharon! You are not only beautiful, but you have such a beautiful soothing voice. I can hardly wait for the next video.
Well Done Sharon!
You apologized profusely at the start. A trait I tend to have as well. I find it relaxes me for being honest. You were smashing and I was entranced with your voice and the message you delivered. I picked up on several clever ideas to use across the pond. I can’t wait to follow your video concept in days to come. Bravo!
