floral and antique tours are just around the corner

I have been on the road with the USA book tour for My Stylish French Girlfriends, passing through the beautiful and welcoming states of Florida, Georgia, North Carolina and Missouri and this weekend we’ve dropped into the heat and wonder of California for the last leg of the tour.
The lovely bookstores and venues that have hosted signings and receptions have really brought ‘Southern hospitality’ to life. I couldn’t be more charmed. You can follow the daily journey here on Instagram and on Twitter as well.
For those of you who have been able to attend, it has been the greatest joy to place faces with already familiar names.
As the tour comes to a close, I am more excited than ever to host new and old friends for the September tours here in France.
Firstly, the Floral Tour is happening over the course of 2 days, Thursday September 15 and Friday September 16.

Some things to note about this exclusive tour:
     – Offered to a maximum of 6 guests
     – Includes visits to my favourite addresses in Paris
     – We visit outstanding gardens in Normandy
     – We will learn from floral masters, including a class by one of Paris’ most prestigious florists
     – Includes chauffeured car, wholesale markets, garden fair, champagne and tea at a 5 star hotel and beautiful lunches
Feel free to email me for more information at myfrenchcountryhome@gmail.com. Due to the intimate nature of this tour, space is very limited.

Now, the antique tour… There are only 2 spaces left for the September 21-26 group tour. This year is very special because we have expanded our accommodations to include a country chateau, a small picturesque village and a French lodge and spa.
Some things to know about the group tour:
     – We will explore the best dealers and fairs in the region
     – Includes a French cuisine class with a trained chef
     – My relationships with dealers in Normandy will grant us special antique shopping access
     – We will visit the Paris antique markets and soak up the culture and range of offerings
     – Includes a chauffeured car, picturesque village and market, the landing beaches, a world class garden and brocante fair as well as wonderful dining
I hope to see you on both sides of the pond this year. Feel free to reach out with inquiries for either tour.
This year is shaping up to be one of the best yet and we’re only halfway through!
If you’d like a better idea of what the floral tour involves you are welcome to watch our video HERE,  and for some great images of the antique fair in Paris that is included in the September tour then click HERE.

Oh Sharon. I wish I could come back for another of your tours I loved the time we spent with you. So much to learn from you and so little time. Another big “thank you” for hooking us up with our fabulous driver and now friend! Michel was just perfect and so professional-not to mention his wonderful personality and sense of humor.

Thank you Dianne, I have very happy memories of the Cashiers event, and of course I was bowled over by the beauty of your part of the world!

The blog has been a bit slower because of the tour, but we’ll soon be back up to speed again

Sharon! Are you still in California? Any chance you might have plans to be in the Los Angeles area? I would love to come meet you and get a copy of the book!

Sharon – it was a great treat to meet you in Marietta. I’m pleased the South displayed our famous, and genuine, hospitality. My wife and I hope to join you on one of your tours in the not too distant future – I’m a hobbyist gardener and have been an antiques and vintage buff since I was a teenager so either/both focus areas would be a dream come true. In the meantime I’ll look forward to your beautiful photography and interesting posts. Many thanks for sharing your world!

Sharon, it was wonderful to meet you in Marietta! I enjoyed our quick visit and loved having our picture made together though I can’t believe I didn’t put my purse down . . . I looked so tacky hanging on to it I had to crop it out of my picture!! I’m so glad your book tour has gone well, so glad you’ve enjoyed visiting the South and so very glad that your tour brought you close enough ( @ 70 miles) that I was able to easily drive over and meet you.
I hope we meet again . . . in France!
Vicky

Sigh, such lucky ladies getting to meet you in France for tour and your book signing in US. We were in San Diego, CA until last Monday visiting oldest son and his two sons there for just two weeks, they had to leave last Tuesday to go back home to KY. Hadn’t seen grandsons for 6 yrs. Now they are young men, oldest at 20 starts his junior yr. at college in KY. Youngest at 18,just graduated high school is still deciding where his path will go.
Had I known you’d be in CA would have made effort to see you. How wonderful you got to see some of our country. Hope your travel back to France was enjoyable. Look forward to future posts as always.

Sharon, I sell your book in my store and it has been a bit hit! I also take people on tours of Europe but I would love to go on one of yours because they look so wonderful! Perhaps next year I will be free in September. I know it would be great! I’m glad you have enjoyed the U.S. 🙂

So glad you had a wonderful book tour and got to
go to so many diverse and beautiful parts of the country.
We had a wonderful time in France and enjoyed our time with you and Michel. He was a wonderful driver

Hopefully one day we might get to return for one of your tours.

It sounds as if you had such a fabulous time and enjoyed every second of good old southern hospitality. This of course now means you will have to return for another tour, perhaps New England and then California!
