brocante and antique tours 2017

by Sharon Santoni

It looks like this year is going to be busy and fun!    Our September tour is already fully booked so we have decided to introduce a  supplementary September tour with a difference.

We are calling this new tour Antiques and Luxury, because as well as plenty of opportunities to shop for French antiques (including at our favourite Chatou fair) we are also offering some new activities, all linked to the very best in traditional French living and savoir-faire.

This tour will start on the Wednesday 27 September and end on Monday 2nd October.  We’ll spend two glorious days in Normandy, staying in a very special manor house B&B.  Here we buy brocante and antique treasure, take a class in floral design, have a private visit to a 14th century chapel, take a coffee at my house, all the while enjoying wonderful meals together.

After these two days  we head to Paris where guests choose their own accommodation so as to make the most of some free time each evening.

We spend three days together in Paris where of course we can shop for antiques but where we also take a class in jewellery design at the prestigious French house of Van Cleef and Arpels.

We spend a day at the Chatou fair, and a full day at the Paris flea market.  We shop together, and lunch together before returning to our hotels in the evening.

The last day sees us leaving Paris early and heading to Champagne where we visit a champagne producer and enjoy a divine lunch in a very luxurious setting.  And before the end of the day, we’ll have one last opportunity to shop.

This is going to be a very exciting and enjoyable tour, with only a limited capacity for number of guests.  We will not take more than six guests and three of the places are already spoken for.  You can see more information here. And of course please feel free to contact us if you have any questions, or if you want to go ahead and reserve your space.

Sounds wonderful! The work you have put into organizing these is astounding. But I suppose it’s a labor of love.
