visiting dallas and omaha at the end of march

by Sharon Santoni

In just a couple of weeks I am excited to visit Dallas TX for the first time.  I’m looking forward to meeting some of the local bloggers and instagrammers and also thrilled to be invited to talk and sign books at three different events.

If you are in Dallas and are able to come any of these events please be sure to say hello, also I’ll have a Stylish French Box with me at each book signing, so if you’ve always wondered what the box look like in person, then this is your chance to see!

On Thursday 30th March, from 11am to 1pm I shall be signing books at the beautiful home decor store Blue Print.  Blue Print was created by four girlfriends and as well as stunning furnishings and textiles they also sell French and English Antiques so I’ll feel right at home!

From 3 to 5pm on Thursday I’ll be signing books at Brown and Co Antiques, on Oak Lawn Avenue.   Having spent so much time buying antiques here in France, it will be fun to be surrounded by similar antiques on the other side of the pond.   I’m looking forward to meeting the dealers there, in particular Lynn Casper who will be hosting me.

On Friday 31st at 6.30pm I’ll be speaking in a conference at the  Dallas Alliance Francaise.   I’m honored and thrilled to be invited by the Alliance Francaise who does so much to promote French culture around the world. After the talk and conference I look forward to chatting to guests and signing books and also giving people a chance to see an example of My Stylish French Box that I’ll have with me.

On Saturday 1 April between 1-2:30 at North Haven Gardens I will be speaking and doing a presentation.

On Monday I fly to Omaha where I shall be talking and arranging flowers at the Lauritzen Garden Spring Luncheon on Tuesday 4th April, and I’m excited to meet many fellow gardeners there, and enjoy sharing our love of flowers.

A  huge thank you to everyone who is helping me put this tour together, and so graciously inviting me to their store or their event.

Sharon, I love your site – My French Country Home! Wish I had one too but reading and seeing yours is a great alternative!
I have notified my sister in Dallas for her to be sure to see you and your book and bringing her two daughters also as they all love Paris, France.
When are you in my city of Houston, TX? We love Paris and all of France, my “knight-in-shining -armor” has taken me – “his bride” many wonderful places all over France. We fly across the pond then rent a car (he has already planned the agenda) and just adore every place! Keep your stories and photos coming!

Sharon,
Visiting Blue Print and meeting you are on my calendar for March 30. I mapped out my driving directions tonight. 🙂

Our weather may be very warm on March 30 since our forecast predicts highs in the 80s through March 25.

Excited…

Best wishes for safe travels…

Hi Sharon,

Hopefully, at some point your travels will bring you to Boston, MA. We have an active French Cultural Center which presents & hosts lots of terrific activities throughout the year. Here’s the link: https://frenchculturalcenter.org/. I am assuming they would be able to introduce you to some of the lovely French boutiques & other “francophile” entities around the area; there are several.

Of course, I would totally enjoy the opportunity to meet you–I actually do have a friend who owns a boutique on Boston’s North Shore and she carries many French products–including your book: “My Stylish French Girlfriends”!

Wishing you safe travels and a lovely, memorable trip.

I’m so sad I won’t be home in Dallas when you are here… We are going out of town to North Carolina… I met you last year in Kansas City at Nell Hills beautiful shop and on Instagram(Sprucemesa) still enjoying your book… You will love The shop Blue Print in Dallas … It is in an old 2 story house that’s been refurbished… A very delightful shopping experience…. Enjoy your time in Dallas … I’ll send all my friends over to see you… Xo, Teresa

Sharon – enjoy your trip to Texas! Dallas is an exciting, vibrant place. My wife and I lived there for eight years back in the ’80’s – our oldest daughter was born in Methodist Hospital in Oak Cliff so it will always have a special place in our hearts. I have a corporate interiors project underway downtown near the Arts District but, unfortunately, trip times don’t coincide with your visit. I will visit Blue Print – thanks for the tip! I met you last year in Marietta, Georgia. I’m excited for you that you have the opportunity to visit so many places in the US. I enjoy all your posts and look forward to each one. Bon Voyage!!

Usually this would be a post i’d sadly skip across quickly as Australia is rarely on a book tour agenda but in hope I read through this one. Excuse me if it is a language grammar anomaly but hasn’t the poster spelt your name incorrectly?

Wishing you wonderful trip and experience in US. How I would love to meet you and buy your book, get to hear you speak. However TX is bit of a reach from Western CO so can only wish you happy trip and much success.
Have been so thrilled to have found your blog few years ago, enjoy your posts every time.
Enjoy the weekend

Great, have fun in Dallas. Darn, I am in a town about 25 minutes from Dallas, called Coppell, but will be working and can’t get by to see you! I have been following you for about two years now.
