on book tour this June

by Sharon Santoni

Happy Monday to you all!    I am excited to announce that in a few weeks time I shall be on book tour in the States, and I really hope it will be an opportunity for me to meet some of you.

I have to admit that I love going on book tour.   I go to new places, revisit with familiar friends, put faces to names and generally get to see stuff that is never normally part of my routine.

My French Country Home Entertaining Through the Seasons

At the signings I’ll be signing copies of my book My French Country Home: Entertaining Through the Seasons (yes I know that is the longest book title ever!) and there will also be copies of My Stylish French Girlfriends available for signature if you need a gift for your own stylish girlfriend!

My Stylish French Girlfriends

When I’m signing I like to try to take a moment to chat with each person, and all questions are allowed!  I’m covering a lot of ground, so I hope that it will give you the opportunity to come to say hello.

So here without further ado, are the dates that are already finalised.  There are a couple more in the pipeline, and we’ve put up a page dedicated to the book tour with all the useful information.

Wednesday 20 June- 5-8PM

My first destination is Les Fleurs in Andover, Massachusetts, in the company of my friend Sandra Sigman (you may remember her as my stylish almost-French girlfriend)!    Les Fleurs is a beautiful flower store that also sells items for your home and some French antiques.

Friday 22nd June- 10:30AM-5PM

Beyond excited to be at the Newport Flower Show, known for its glorious setting and fantastic displays of flowers and plants.  I’m also with Sandra Sigman for this event so be sure to come say hello if you’re there!

Saturday 23rd June- 10:30AM-12PM

Having always wanted to visit Nantucket, I’m thrilled to have the opportunity to be able to do a signing at Mitchell’s Book Corner, an absolutely adorable family-owned book shop.

Monday 25th June- 5-7PM

For the first of my two signings in New York, I’m so pleased to be at Rejuvenation‘s beautiful store in the Flatiron District. I’ll be signing at three of their stores across the US during my tour and am excited to be working with a company so committed to creating quality products and restoring antique pieces.

Tuesday 26th June- 5-7PM

I’ll be at the Bastide showroom, where as well as getting a book signed, you’ll also have the opportunity to discover their divine French cosmetics and perfumes.  We have already included Bastide products in My Stylish French Box, and I am excited to see their New York showroom.      There are a limited number of places for this event, and we have an Eventbrite invitation that you are welcome to visit if you’d like to attend.

Wednesday 27 June- 5-7PM

Making my way midwest, I’ll be at Rejuvenation’s gorgeous store in Chicago.

Thursday 28th June- 2-5PM

So excited to see my friend Mary Carol Garritty at her charming home furnishings store Nell Hill’s in Kansas City.   The last time I saw Mary Carol was here in Normandy, when she came for dinner with friends, can’t wait to see her again!

Friday 29th June- 4-6PM

My third signing with the wonderful Rejuvenation will be at their Berkeley location.

Saturday 30th June- 3-5PM

I shall be with my friend Sarah Anderson at her divine store Chateau Sonoma in Sonoma, California.  I was at Chateau Sonoma a couple of years ago and am looking forward to returning.

More dates will be added soon, so check back often on our Book Tour 2018 dedicated page. Looking forward to meeting as many of you as I can later in the month!

Once you are in the Western U.S., Seattle is not far at all from Sonoma! (We have great wines, also)

Michigan is gorgeous in the summertime, especially, and we have great wines, too. The northwest coastline of the lower peninsula is a wine and food destination, and we have LOTS and LOTS of fresh water and water activities. Beautiful scenery and lovely little coastal towns with great shopping opportunities are a treat.

Hi Stephanie, I didn’t know Michigan had good wines! Definitely a destination to keep in mind for next time. Unfortunately the closest she’ll get this time is Chicago- it’s a bit of a trek, but perhaps you would be able to join her there? – Emily @ My French Country Home

How exciting! My fingers are crossed that you’ll be coming back to the Atlanta area so that I will have a chance to visit with you again. You have quite a following here in the South. I look forward to seeing you again…I hope!

Hi Vicki, sadly Sharon won’t be able to stop in the South on this trip, as much as she would have loved to! We so appreciate all the support she has always gotten from her Southern followers, and will do our best to include a stop there on the next tour! – Emily @ My French Country Home

Don’t forget to stop in the southern US. A lot of beautiful French influenced cities like Charleston and New Orleans but Atlanta is closer for us.

Dear Cyndee, you’re not the first to request a stop in the South! While not on the itinerary for this trip, we will be keeping it in mind for next time. I’m a native Southerner myself and think Sharon would just love Charleston! – Emily @ My French Country Home

Might I suggest the adorable store the Left Bank in Buckingham, Pennsylvania in a popular shopping are called Peddler’s Village between Philadelphia and New Jersey. There is a book next store that would serve equally well, The Lahaska Bookshop. Please consider it!

I can’t believe it! Overflowing disappointment! Imagine my excitement when I saw the words Kansas City. It is 8 hours from my home but my son lives there. Oh boy, oh boy, I’m going to Kansas city to meet you and throw in a visit with my son. Then I see the date. My son will be here in Indiana. What lousy timing. Some day, some day. Well just more evidence that I’m destined to travel to France. Enjoy your journey. Delight in all your new friends and come back again.
