No matter how many boxes of snowdrops I give away to friends each year, I just seem to have more and more in the garden.
At this time of year they are sparkling bright beneath the magnolia tree as well as popping up uninvited in other beds and borders.
I try to make the most of these extra guests by bringing them indoors for a while. My favourite way is to simply dig up small clumps and pop them into these old vintage pots, adding a little moss to hide the earth.
They may not last for long, but for a few days we’ll have their delicate beauty to admire close up.

Oh, I would love to be the recipient of one of your snowdrop gifts! I planted a small bag of six, the end of last year and so far I have 3 to come up 🙂 Simple but lovely. Hopefully mine will multiply or I'll keep adding to them each year. Yours are gorgeous! We had a little snow here in North Carolina, US yesterday but it didn't seem to bother the them. I guess that's why they call them snowdrops 🙂

Lovely photos! I LOVE snowdrops — they're the sweetest little flowers! We have those here, too, in North Carolina in the southeastern U.S.
They do make quite a visual impact in the large clumps outside, and it's wonderful that you can bring them inside to enjoy, as well.

Once the snow melts here, I'll have to check for my snowdrop. They are not nearly as plentiful as your, however. Putting them in pots is a charming idea.
OH MY SNOWDROPS, my childhood memories of them popping up in the garden are so vivid when I look at yours! How beautiful, my favorite and utmost favorite flower in the whole world. Enjoy, for me too please. I have tears of joy and sadness, as I can not seem to grow them in Calgary climate at all…My husband gets them for me shipped from BC but I love the sight of them in the garden like yours. Nothing can top that.

Oh soo beautiful! These are not at all easy for us to grow in Australia. I have a few bulbs, but they are very special, and each year I eagerly await their little green shoots popping out of the soil, and then I hope, with luck, for a flower or two. We do have another variety grown easily that I think you call "Snowflakes" – still pretty, but yours are magic!

How lucky you are! I have been trying to find some snowdrops "in the green". I planted 100 that were dry in the fall several years ago and only one came up!

this just made my day…I'm hoping my garden has some. We have not lived through the winter on our current home, so i can only hope someone in the last 100+ years added some snow drops. They must come up a little earlier in France? Yours in the little pots with moss are just stunning…especially in that light.
