This week we are blessed with lovely autumn sunshine, crisp leaves just tinged with red, orchards full of apple trees bowing low with the weight of the heavy fruit.
My brocante tour was a busy and fun week and my guests have returned home with their treasures to cherish and I hope many happy memories of Normandy.
Late September to early October is generally the last chance in the year to eat outside; we are making the most of it! Quick lunches solo, or longer lunches with friends like yesterday when Stacey of Stacey Snacks came for the day with her husband Henry. My friendship with Stacey is a happy result of blogging, and this is not her first visit here. She is in Paris for a week, and her instagram account reads like a connoisseur guide to fine dining.
So now I have the tour behind me, and enjoyed my ‘day off’ with Stacey yesterday, it is back to business here … and for you today a quick table scape coming together to music, I hope you enjoy.

This is just lovely! 🙂 My children were dancing to the music! 🙂
Just gorgeous…I can almost feel the crisp air!
Beautiful & charming video & so enjoyed. I can’t wait for our summer to go away because then our gorgeous weather begins. Funny how seasons bring out the worst & the best in people & nature.
Amour!! franki
Thank you for the adorable video! Your table looks delicious.
Just lovely! I watched the video while eating my (beautiful) lunch at my desk, but imagined I was there.
The time lapse video! What a treat, as I’m sure the lunch was.

Sharon – Thanks so much for inviting me to lunch! How lovely!
How utterly charming. A beautiful setting for a beautiful day. Thank you.
That is so lovely!! Charming and delightful in every way!!
That was really fun! And inspiring as always!
Sharon that was lovely! I just love this beautiful Autumn weather and we too are making the most of it outside, but for us it’s working in the garden as we have been creating a new one from scratch. A cottage garden for an old cottage I hope. It’s coming along and today I moved a Stewartia (do you know them?) – wonderful small tree or shrub – small leaves, Gorgeous white flowers with yellow centres in summer followed by stunning red orange and yellow leaves in autumn. I’m hoping that next summer and autumn we will finally be able to sit down and see flowers instead of soil! Then, I will endeavour to prepare a pretty lunch table as you have done! Thank you.
Beautiful table. Would love to enjoy a meal with you there. Any plans for a Provence tour in 2016?
Hi Sharon,
I too was in Normandy this weekend,my sister has just bought a beautiful House near Alençon and we ate outside too,i am back home now ( near Perpignan) and it’s pouring with rain !!!!

That salad looks absolutely delicious, and so appealing.I never realised one could eat dahlias, and other flowers! Is it nicer than a Salad Niçoise?
une blague! La décoration de table est fantastique . . . . .
Superbes vidéos! Cela met l’eau à la bouche! Je vais aller cuisiner maintenant. Merci et à bientôt.
Isabelle.
Sharon, the video was lovely, will watch it over and over again.
What a fabulously fun video and a stunning table, thoroughly enjoyed watching that, thank you:)
Lovely, just lovely! ; )
That was a fun little respite since I’m simmering in 100 degree heat in Southern California. I’m not at all familiar with the singer Charles Trenet so I looked him up and listened to his upbeat rendition of La Mer.
Thanks for the inspirational video. It makes me want to run outside and play with a table scape.
Hi Sharon loved the music video,so happy and exciting, makes you feel like dancing. Thanks again for all your emails .Really look forward to them.Elvie

Impossible to watch the video without smiling…impossible!
