when travel in france is food for the soul

Travel in France is something I love to do, as a family, with my husband or sometimes alone. Even after all these decades of living here, I still love the details. And of course, we love to invite others to travel in France with us. As we are half way through our MFCH Tour season, I make time to pause and reflect on the trips we made so far this year.

This Spring we have traveled several times to southern France and I remember the beautiful places we visit the artists who let us into their ateliers, the places we shopped and the good food and wine we enjoyed.

When I curate our tour itineraries, I am constantly looking for ways to enchant, entertain, stimulate and inform our guests.   Often our visits will provoke a lot of thought and reflection.  We chat endlessly … while we are travelling in our vehicles together, over meals, and at the end of the day when we gather to share our experience. We like to think that besides the wonderful meals we enjoy, that our tours also provide food for the soul.

getting creative during our travel in france

Many of our guests are at a moment in their lives where they are looking for their next steps.   And while we don’t pretend to have the answers to their questions, we like to think that we get their creative juices flowing and help them think outside the box.    Sometimes, by observing other people get creative, we discover unexpected paths to explore.

Our lovely guests sent us messages at the end of our last trip, and with their permission, I’m sharing a couple of extracts throughout this post.

Thank you! You are spot on about the soul and where many of us are at in life. I am reminded people are a lot more alike than different and that we need each other. I can’t wait for my tour and feeding my soul.

Thank you for all your many years of experience and wisdom. My daughter and I purchased your Nice Intinerary and immediately booked our trip in August. I cannot wait to go, I didn’t expect it to be so detailed with no stone unturned. Day by Day, hour by hour! What a pleasant surprise. We did book the hotel you suggested and cannot wait to pack our bags. Thank you Sharon for all of your hard work and time you spend into planning every detail.

I love how this post highlights the deep connection between travel and soul-enriching experiences, especially through food. It reminds me of how Dubai’s 2024 luxury apartments aren’t just about the stay but also about immersing yourself in a vibrant, luxurious lifestyle that’s as enriching as a culinary journey in France. Do you think a place like Dubai could offer that same kind of soul connection?
