Welcome to the MFCH Provence Tour! We love this region of France! Come for the sunshine, rolling hills of vines and olive trees, chilled rosé, and the joy of Provencal living. We have been touring Provence for many years, and our confidential address book is rich in places to go and people to see, designed to take you off the beaten track, and see a side to Provence that most tourists never encounter.
The tour is based around the stunning village of Lourmarin, and our tour in June is timed to fall right when the lavender fields are in full bloom! You will have opportunities to take in the vibrant purples, smell, and enjoy this beautiful time of year.
The month of June is a special moment in Provence. The lavender fields are in full bloom, the weather is perfect and temperatures allow for al fresco dining from morning to the end of the day. We pick our restaurants for the week carefully choosing places with a wonderful view, as well as great food and good wines, from Provence of course!
We will stay in the four-star hotel Le Moulin de Lourmarin, which is in the picturesque village of Lourmarin, and the ideal base for exploring the village itself, as well as our departure point for all excursions. The hotel is entirely renovated, and reopened in 2021 with a complete new team and design.
Activities include jaunts to gorgeous hilltop towns, a cooking demonstration all about delicious French fare, visits to antique shops and fairs handpicked by Sharon, a stop at the famous lavender fields, and much more!
As our hotel is only a few minutes walk from the village center, you’ll be able to enjoy some free time to shop, to visit and simply people watch from a café terrace.
