Our founder Sharon Santoni has travelled all her life.  She not only shares her extensive address book with her clients, but also her ability to enjoy the moment and always remain curious.

Why I love to travel

For as long as I can remember, I have loved to travel.  As a child, I can clearly recall that tingly feeling when travelling abroad.  The new smells, the new tastes in my plate, the accents and foreign words I could hear flying around me.

Today, when creating the itineraries for our tours, or when helping clients with their travel plans, it is that excitement and curiosity that I strive to reproduce.  When we host clients here, we always aim to take them off the beaten track and introduce them to fascinating people, living with passion and talent, who open up their homes, gardens, or ateliers, and allow us a glimpse into their daily lives.

For years now, MFCH has been welcoming guests from around the world and showing them our favourite spots in France. Be it touring the best antique buying addresses in Normandy and Paris, traveling through hilltop villages in Provence, or enjoying wine, gardens, and the good life in Dordogne. Each tour is tailor-made to run seamlessly. Hotels and manor house accommodation is chosen with care. We lead our guests into private homes and gardens; introduce them to the finest artisans and feed them well along the way. We promise to make your stay enjoyable and give you an insight into French living that tourists rarely see.

 Now and again, we also include a specialised guide for visits of great historical importance or requiring deeper local knowledge.
