Vaux-le-Vicomte

by natalie becci

Accompanied by a wonderful guide, spend the day exploring the outstanding Château de Vaux-le-Vicomte. Originally commissioned by Louis XIV, built for Nicolas Fouquet, here you can be impressed by the work of the architect Louis Le Vau, the landscape architect André Le Nôtre and the painter-decorator Charles Le Brun. Château de Vaux-le-Vicomte remains to this day the largest, yet lesser-known, private Château in France.

Its gardens are remarkable, and their geometric patterns are outstanding!

It is best to visit between May – Mid-October.
