down a path in provence

I am happy to be out in the countryside ….[blank]

The perfect place to be on holiday for me. Although I'm happy to be at home at the moment sharing it with family & friends. I love the provence.

Are the dogs with you, Sharon? If you are near Arles, you should introduce them to Heather Robinson's Ben and Kipling!! Thank you for the lovely photographs, Leslie

Bonjour,
J'arrive tout juste de Fayence situé dans le début du haut Var… où j'exposait mon travail…
Un lieu splendide, aux paysages similaires à vos merveilleuses photos.
La plénitude nous est jetée en pleine face et que c'est bon !
Gros bisous

Provence is where I lived in France, and when I first saw it from the airplane I said, "I could die here." Love that first photo of the olive tree! Anita

I had rather be in Provence than anywhere else on earth. Especially love St. Remy de Provence.

I just stumbled upon your blog today while searching for photos of France countryside/cottages. I've been reading a lot of '40s/WWII first hand account history books this summer to understand more and I kept thinking about all that battle devastation, but also thinking about the cottages/farms/fields & brave people who hid and helped the 'good guys'…I look at your photo above where you said, "an overnight shelter" and imagine this could very well have sheltered some from that time. I will definitely bookmark your blog, I've adored charming blogs for years, but lately I've been really wanted to know more about the history of France/England and other countries involved in the world wars.
thank you for sharing your photos. 🙂

I just found your site, it is beautiful. We returned a few weeks ago from a vacation in Europe which included two weeks in Provence. I did not want to leave, the memories are in my head and heart. I reside in Canada but was born in Britain and it is many years since I visited France. I bought some beautiful linens back home with me, just loved the markets. Now I am off to read all of your previous blogs.
