There seems to be a lot of black and white around in the new collections for spring this year, which feels fun and fresh.
Somehow wearing black in the spring is totally different to wearing black in the winter. In the Spring, black feels crisp and clean cut, especially worn on white with just the tiniest touch of a bright green or pink.
Just for fun a couple of black and white inspiration boards, some easy ideas for once the temperatures are more forgiving.

Lovely selection Sharon, I especially like the touch of pink in number three. Black and White is tipped to be big Autumn/Winter 2015 for us here in Australia too, I can’t wait for scarves and jackets after such a long, hot and dry summer. Black and white, always my favourite any time of the year. But you are right, somehow, in spring with a little pop of colour, it just feels different.

I have noticed a great deal of b&w in home accessories also. Hobby Lobby still has a very striking display with black and gold I remembered seeing in the Fall. It’s very strong but so beautiful. Black and white outfits always look sophisticated and dressy to me. We were at Target today where I saw very pretty bib necklace with black flowers, very striking also, would love to have it.
Usually I’d prefer Navy blue but seeing so much black has swayed me. I would need to wear b&w as an accessory as black is not one of my better colors. I look much better in jewel colors, pastels make me look yuk.
I loved the outfits you put together, especially first one with sheer coat and snazzy white dress. The scarf really sets it off. Black and white stripes are wonderful together also. Now I’ll be on look out for black and white clothing. Enjoyed this post very much. HAPPY WEEKEND

I’m having a “girls night out” Academy Awards party and everyone is wearing black and white. Can’t wait to see what everyone shows up in! There’s even a traveling red high heel wine holder prize for the best outfit.
