cire trudon candles – an insta-giveaway

cire trudon candles with bouquet

I am very excited to tell you about a giveaway that is running on my instagram page today and for all of this week.

I have teamed up with the lovely team at Cire Trudon, who would like to offer two of their stunning perfumed candles to one of my instagram followers; that is  one for the follower and one for a friend he or she tags.

Cire Trudon is not what you’d call a start-up.  The company has existed since 1643, and they are one of the truly authentic and traditional French companies making the sort of quality products that we love so much.

They recently opened their first store in the US, to be found on Elizabeth Street in New York

Their candles are generous in size and smell divine, I have one burning beside me on my desk as I type.   I love the design of their products, be it their candles or their accessories, such as their boxes of matches which are always to be found on my fireplace.

To take part in the giveaway, just head over to my Instagram page HERE, and sign up to follow.   Then leave a comment on one of the Cire Trudon pictures  including the following tag:

#ciretrudon

and tag a friend who will also receive a beautiful candle should you be the lucky winner.

For an extra entry, regram the picture and tag me to let me know.

Be sure to @sharonsantoni so I get to see your entry, and be sure that your page isn’t private!

Oh…..I’ve already won a double gift-pack of really superb dijon mustard, a very nice “provencal” tablecloth, one set of silverplate serving tongs, and three different books from French-blog give-aways.

In each case, I acted exactly as I did when I was eight and had DETERMINED that I would, no matter what it took in terms of utterly cultivated/self-conscious “charm”, win whatever little contest was going on at school or church. So, I wrote the most charming responses possible, and I won every time. I should emphasize that anyone who actually knew me would instantly recognize what I was doing.

One of my new rules for my new life is that I don’t think I’m allowed to compete in these contests anymore. It’s amusing, when you consider the matter. I feel rather as one the characters in “Liasons Dangereuses” (sp?) would if he/she had consciously decided to retire from the business of manipulation.

That said?…..those are really-really lovely candles. Am I the only person who’s always more seduced by the packaging (look at the final photograph you posted) than I am by the object/stuff inside? This is why I always love gifts that friends bring back from Japan….

Amusedly,

David Terry

Hi Sharon,
Thank you for the chance to win. I am a new signer to Instagram because of this! I commented twice on the photo because I didn’t put the tags in my first post, and now on my second post I didn’t put the @ symbol in front of my daughter’s tag! Haha, I didn’t realize how far behind the times I am with this stuff! Once my kids get wind of my being on Instagram the groans will begin! Keeping my fingers crossed for the win!

What a wonderful giveaway! I have sent out an Instagram post and tagged you, it seems to be doing quiet well. I love their beautiful candles, and the scent is divine. I haven’t bought one in a couple of years, so I am due. 🙂 Thank you for the opportunity to apply… and for being an inspiration. xx Rié
