chevaux et neige

by Sharon Santoni
I just love the way morning light turns fresh snow blue.  This morning, the snow and the cold made the horses frisky, not ideal when it’s slippery on the ground and my blacksmith was coming to shoe.  Didn’t stop the jockeys next door taking out the trotters though.

Ideal photo subjects for me: horses, snow and France. Perfect photos. I took a photo which is on my blog today, of a statue of a surfer with a Santa hat. Quite a contrast to your snowy world.

What lovely photos! I love morning-blue snow too. And I just got connected with a family a few miles from me that is going to teach me horseback riding! Finally! 🙂 I'm so excited to join the horse community!

Gorgeous. I always love snow and frost dusting on the trees. I think it is funny that France has more snow than we do right now.

Hi Sharon, This is Patty, from the email just sent for the portrait giveaway.
I have never responded on the comment section before. But, since I sent you the picture of the trotter and dog, I wanted to tell you that My husband started his adult life as a blacksmith and trainer & driver of trotters. Now, he just trains his own horses and buys and sells horses. I used to take care of our broodmares and colts but we do not breed anymore….."
