foxgloves in my garden

by Sharon Santoni

I love foxgloves, this year I only seem to have the common pink variety, but other years I’ve had a beautiful pale pale salmon –  must try and find seeds for that again.

I love foxgloves too!
Unfortunately can't have them here, they hate lime soil!

love particularly the 4. image of your post, old wall and a bit of an old roof, interesting contrast!

So pretty they are…. especially the first photo with the watering can, weathered chair and beautiful planter in the background.

Today's foxgloves and yesterday's poppies are gorgeous! I've loved foxgloves since I was young, when I learned that they're called Fingerhute in German (finger hats).

Fields of poppies amaze me, since I have tended a single delicate poppy plant in my Minnesota garden for three years and finally got four whole blossoms last summer!

Foxgloves are gorgeous but mine have self seeded everywhere! There's masses of them all through the garden and in the lawn which is not so good! Oh well 🙂

hello sharon!

oh my favorite flower that i covet from afar. our summer temps are too much for them to bear.
once in devon england i noticed a field of foxgloves, what a sight! then i saw a massive lawnmower barreling through the field clearing swaths, it was heartbreaking. i asked our b&b; hostess about it that night. "oh yes, we do that here, they are like weeds. sigh………
yours are lovely

You might say that they are the 'common pink'….but with that sone wall behind them (first photo) they are anything but common.

Stunning!!!

I so enjoy you blog….I visit every day! (sometimes twice…lol!)
