things to do with a girlfriend

by Sharon Santoni
 What do you do when you have the chance to spend some quality time with a special girlfriend?
A childhood friend has some to stay and I am HAPPY !!  She wants to ride (good), eat well (of course!);  hunt brocantes (twist my arm!) and …. paint!
What a good idea this is!!  I can’t possibly leave the dear girl all alone,  so this morning we both packed our painting gear, fold-out chairs,  a picnic and headed out for the river
We quickly found a spot that suited us both, checked out the various viewpoints;
then settled in for several hours of pure bliss!
not too much passing traffic
bearable views
no phones!

This is something I shall be doing more often.
Anyone want to come and join me?!

Any day! When I was much younger, I would spend my summers working in saint Tropez and on my days off would take my watercolors and easel and go in search of landscapes to transfer on paper

Such wonderful views. I'd join you for the picnic and to enjoy a no-phones, no wi-fi leisure day out. No good at painting though!!

I don't know why.. however the first thing that comes to mind is sending our 6 & 7 year old girls with you, while my wife and I enjoy an afternoon by ourselves.. 😉

Oh,I wish.
I love picnics by the water. I would pack a smoke salmon quiche, baby green salad, soft cheese (perhaps Brie), a crusty baguette, champagne. For dessert homemade cookies and coffee.

Oh, would I! But I'd have to leave the painting to you. I could sit by reading a good book in this beautiful setting. 😉
