Few pleasures more simple yet more pleasurable
than an evening bike ride, en famille.
Gentle colours, sweet perfumes, empty lanes, happy chatter.
I know I’m lucky ……
wheat fields, freshly cut hay, an abandoned house I’d love to get my hands on, a peaceful lake, country pleasures that do us good!

Would do anything to live in the country if it wasn't for city commitments, love this!! Trudy
Hi I was your last Anonymous, sorry am still a learner blogger but now have it sorted & still love the country look & feel!! Trudy
So lovely, we live in the country, but it is what is termed "Semi Rural" although real country is only a short walk away.I love the sights the sounds and the smells! yes it does us good. I feel sure it is how we were meant to live, without the drone of traffic, and endless concrete roads.
Now these are the most beautiful pictures that bring my heart right to the country!
The country is in my bobes…love, love, love it and you're making me long for it even more! We're off to the country in 8 days….yes, Im counting…lol
I just adore it that much!!
What a beautiful post!!
Deborah xoxo
Ooops I meant to right "the country is in my BONES" not bobes .. Sorry 🙂 lol
Just looking at those pictures made me calm…how incredibly beautiful. Reminds me a little of when we were in Napa Valley and we would take a sunset bike ride past all the wineries, it was the next best thing to heaven, it was so breathtaking and still and peaceful. Agreed..doesnt' get much better than that:)
Absolutely divine. I can always come here and find exquisite countryside views…so refreshing to see landscapes free of "progress,"…no trucks, diggers, cranes, and caterpillars.
I just love your blog, it's so inspiring!! I have to admit that I'm jealous too of your lovely garden.
Thank you!! Best wishes, Ulrika in Sweden
Biking is indeed a summer pleasure!!
I totally agree Sharon….and I have been wanting to tell you how my daughter is teaching herself how to ride our Perchron English all by herself…it's so amazing –
I love a country bike ride….unless that stray dog that lives around the corner thinks my bike is the enemy – ha! –
have a great Sunday!!
I would love to be there, we have discussed moving, but I do not know how my electrician non French speaking partner would fund our lifestyle!!
T x
these images are so fantastic that I can say only..wow.. !!!
Happy sunday!
Stefy
beautiful!….smiles.
Beautiful colors, beautiful photos, beautiful blog.
I only wish Blogger would stop acting up! Having the same problem here. One solution for your readers is when prompted to sign in on Google to leave comments, uncheck the box that says "stay signed in". Has worked for me.
Life… simple and beautiful… just how it should be.
So beautiful! Thank you for sharing!
Yes, blogger fooled around with me earlier today and I showed them.. I went to the park ! Now it seems to be working well.
The light in all the photos is so beautiful, loved them !
besos ~
I love it so serene.
It all looks so wonderful. They just cut the hay here last week and I love the smell, smells like summer!
Beautiful pictures Sharon. I live in a rural area as well and every day when I drive down my little road and see the mountains, canefields and majestic rivers – I have to pinch myself for being so lucky. ;)Sharyne
So sorry about blogger difficulties. Know the feeling. Ahhh…but your post is SO calming to the rest of us. Million thanks. Feel like I was there! XOXO Trish
I'm all relaxed now …
thanks to you and the wedding being over …
These photos are so gorgeous! Your valley seems idyllic. There's nothing like a summer sunset over a wheat field, is there?
