‘my’ country path through the seasons

by Sharon Santoni
If I have scores of photos of the same path, does that make me a geek?  No, actually don’t answer that, I prefer not to hear the answer!
The fact is that I go up this path at least once a day, every day of the year.  Daily to feed the horses, often to saddle them, and sometimes just because this is the route I take to walk into the forest.
I love the gentle bends, I love the view of the forest and in particular I love the way it changes through the seasons.  Here are some of the shots I’ve enjoyed over the past 12 months.

Beautiful photos, I love the Autumn one with the blush of pinky orange on top of the nearly bare trees, but my favourite has to be the snowy one…it just looks so magical. Holding my breath and waiting for snow here in England…Robx

Sharon, Taking shots of the path in different seasons is a reflection of what really lies along the way. You know when you begin the journey down the path on your horse that a tranquil experience is just ahead. It is something that non of us can feel, but after viewing the images we do understand the love in your heart for this special experience.
And the images are spectacular.

Don't be shy – share them often {love the snow scene with the horses}.

You are not a geek at all! I don't think I would ever get tired of looking at photos of your pretty path – let alone walking, riding, skipping or cross country skiing down it!

Thanks for sharing your country walk with us!

What this proves is that you are an artist. You have an artist's eye and I know you are incredibly creative and talented.

Loved the most recent installment in your "French Friends" series.

You do have a glam life.

This is so beautiful and what a lovely view! I live in Texas on land with horses and teenagers. With this said, we are so far away, but your posts make me think you are right down the road. Thank you for sharing your French country experiences. You make me realize what a privilege it is to be with nature. I have a path somewhat like yours and I think I will document its many faces throughout the year. What a great idea!

Sharon,

I am an American living in the state of Washington. I was born in Orleans. I only lived there till I was 2. This past summer I vacationed in France for the first time since my infant time. It was whirlwind and wonderful. Since my return I have been following your blog. I love it. It keeps me close to my birth roots, and inspires my tomorrows. I use your fantastic photo’s as catalysts for decorating, gardening, and creating a piece of French heaven in my life. Thank you. I am looking forward to 2014 with you.
