[blank]There are days like this.
There are days like this when the grass needs cutting, when the garden needs weeding, when the dog’s favourite rugby balls are all over the garden, when a pile of stuff has accumulated at the front door just waiting to be put away and to top it all the horses have got loose.[blank]
There are days like this.
Its called family life, its called sorting priorities,
and these are often the days I like the best.[blank]

thank you for reading me this week[blank].

Haha,
I just hate it when my horses get loose and eat the turf.
JK.
I live in suburbia but living vicariously through YOU. Those pics are heavenly, looks so serene, would have never imagined your home management work wasn't complete.
Enjoy your weekend.
I think I need a day like that! Love your blog!
I've just got up to see the blue sky & read your blog.I'd leave the horses there, then you won't need to cut your grass. I feel like a good day will happening for me, grass is cut, plants are planted so look forward to a pleasant weekend, with the grandchildren coming to visit. Hope you enjoy your weekend.
What a perfect day: I would be thrilled to find your horses on my lawn.
Anna
It's lovely to see, that there is room for everyone in´your garden – a happy summerday:-)
Sharon !
J'adore la première photo : maison et chevaux en même temps ! On dirait un lieu de vacances… Profitez-en bien, c'est superbe !
Céline.
Your words describe chaos, the images show an idylic scene. How lovely. I hope it hadn't rain much recently as the hooves pug up the turf.
I often find that cattle have escaped into my garden leaving piles of 'fertiliser' and pug marks everywhere. If you don't stomp down the pug marks when the ground is soft, they dry out to leave nasty holes that turn your ankle.
I love these days!
Have a great weekend

Dear Sharon,
Well, like canny "Anna", I'd be completely thrilled to wake up and find your horses on my lawn. You've certainly got some lovely animals (dogs included), and you have a fine eye for taking lovely photographs of them.
As you'll notice?…..I'm posting this at 2:44 in the morning (USA time). At age 50, I've suddenly been put on hypertension medications (2 dang pills per day? how silly…). I'm told there's nothing "wrong" with me….except for being a typical, "type-A", bossy American male (50% of whom, I'm told, are on the same medications, if they happen to have insurance).
Im any case, I'm WIDE AWAKE at this ungodly hour (the terriers are terribly happy about this), having taken my new&improved; medication this afternoon before falling asleep for six hours. I think I'm going to speak to my very smart lady-doctor about this. she's about thirteen months pregant, big as a horse, and I can't figure out how she has time to listen to me, but she does.
In any case, I just decided that, as long as I'm awake, I might as well continue packing books for the upcoming move….and I went to your blog.
As usual?…it was refreshing and really quite lovely. It makes me think of all the mornings (and I'm regularly in France at my in-laws' house outside Tours) when I wake up and find my teeny-tiny mother-in-law opening all those big shutters (they're on all the windows and doors)….and, suddenly, the whole house is filled with light and birdsong (there's a large cherry orchard behind the house, and many marauding birds). Obviously, that doesn't happen in the winter…but I do love those summer visits, when every morning begins this way, and folks regard breakfast as a pleasure, rather than some gulp-down-your-coffe-&-get-your-ass-to-work duty.
thanks, as ever, for the lovely and evocative posting. And, yes…I know….I regularly use the word "evocative" when describing your postings. In my defense, I'd simply say that I can't think of a more appropriate adjective.
and, yes, I was very glad today to see how many folks (in response to your previous, obviously sincere posting) wrote to tell you how much they appreciated your blog/your work.
you're much too polite to ever say this yourself, but?…..just recall the good & appreciative comments…..and also recall that bumper-sticker: "Mean People Suck".
An alarming number of folks never seem to have graduated from high-skool, where' it's so easy to just be nasty to other folks. So?…let's do just ignore them (as many of your readers have suggested).
'Nuff said….

I just want to illustrate this image!
Just beautiful~

OMG…can I please make that picture my screensaver!!!!!! AMAZING. How I wish I could wake up to "unruliness" where horses are grazing 10 feet out of my front door…lol! What a fantasy…the pictures are fabulous, what a spectacular sight. Enjoy your weekend.
So lovely! For some silly reason the line from that old song came to me, "Mama said there'd be days like this…" 🙂
Olá Sharon, lindo dia! Lindas palavras.
Rose
Você já faz parte de meu blog: https://amigasqueengordam.blogspot.com.br/
Yes, there are. I woke up to varmints eating my garden! What a beautiful view you had though. Your horses are gorgeous. Enjoy your weekend.
These beautiful photos made me laugh. What could be better than a relaxing dog and a couple of grazing horses in your front yard! It's a beautiful, relaxed, happy scene! Love it! Thanks for sharing.
Sharon, that first photo is sublime! Look how it makes everyone dream…methinks it belongs in your header!
Bon weekend!
Simply beautiful. You are living my dream! Always have wanted to live in France.
I want to come back as you in my next life – I would love to see horses grazing on my front lawn!
Your version of family chaos is my idea of perfection – lol!

Oh, that looks amazing. I remember taking our horses out on leads in the spring to graze on the new green grass in an open field. Heaven.
Still sounds great. We all have weeks like that.
Very beautiful photos! Enjoy your weekend!
Still looks like a dream to most of us.
Best,
Kathy
SIGH! You made my heart so happy this morning to seeing your horses on your lawn. Have a wonderful weekend and give your horses a smooch on the muzzle for me.
I think 'a little piece of heaven on earth' would best describe your lovely photo! We should all have such chaos…enjoy!
BEAUTIFUL like a dream!
They are my favorite kind of days, too. Enjoy!
So beautiful…comfortable, fulfilling.
Beautiful, absolutely beautiful! =)
Magique et magnifique !!!
hi Sharon
That's a picture postcard for sure!
Your house and horses are just so beautiful

Wonderful … normal days.
Fondly,

One can only dream of waking up to a couple of horses and a dog on the lawn. The housework can wait. I'll grab a lawn chair, a cup of coffee and join the animals on the lawn.
Thank you Sharon. Love you blog and website. The beautiful pictures of the countryside and places around where you live in Normandy are truly magnificent.
I cannot imagine how special it must be to have the horses right outside of your door. You dear lady are living in heaven.
Oh your place is heaven and soo beautiful, I love the way you let your horses graze freely on your lawn, it's bliss living in such harmony with animals.
I love the shot with your dog in the yard sitting watching the horses. I love the horses, they are so beautiful! Love your posts! Blessings – Betsy
I wish they were at my house!! I'd be out there with them. I have the 4 g kids and a dog. Dog destroyed his cage while we were swimming, pooped in living room, boy spilled gallon of milk in the kitchen. Two boys hit the ice cream truck after just having dessert. Welcome summer!
I just read your last few posts. I have never left an anonymous comment – if I like a blog I leave a comment with my name on it. On my blog I receive many anonymous comments but they are all spam which blogger intercepts thankfully. I try to visit people who comment on my blog at least every few weeks but we travel a lot so it is hard but I still try to follow blog etiquette, if not, why have a blog. But then I understand that some people may not like what I have to say – it’s OK with me as I enjoy freedom of opinion. Your week-end looks cool – I mean it as here we have had 35 degree C in the shade today!
oh, this looks like bliss to me! I'm in love with your beautiful home.
It is obvious that you take excellent care of your animals…your horses are beautiful!!!
Such beautiful images! Your home is lovely + horses. xxpeggybraswelldesign.com
I just love days like this. Your horses are mowing for you
So thats how you keep that lawn looking so good. Secrets out now! Although I think the horses need a little more practice to get the perfect striped lawn.
Paul
Your home is my "someday" dream home, complete with the horses and dogs : ) Such an idyllic life…
The horses, the dog and the house make an idyllic picture. What a wonderful place to live regardless of 'days like this':)
Beautiful home. I would love to wake up and find horses in my yard. I always look forward to your posts. Everything is so beautiful.
Hoorayyyy!!!!!!
WOW now that's the life!! Absolutely beautiful!
Tuo on oikeaa elämää!! Ihania kuvia!
Teillon sielä kaunista.
I love everyday life at your house! Beautiful horses, cute dog and wonderful family home.
I just have to say how much your pictures and your writings mean to me, I know you hear this alot. I hope you know this is a big part of my day to see what you are doing and of course the wonderful pets. I so look forward to see what is going on in your life because it seems so interesting. Enjoy you so much and wanted to say thank you for sharing.
Even though there are a lot of famous video games out there, you might not remember this one. You won’t believe how great it is until you play it for a while.
