living by the water in France

by Sharon Santoni
Much as I love my home, I have always dreamt of living by water.  I know I’d get distracted too easily, and waste hours just watching the light and reflections, but one day I think I shall live beside a river or an ocean.
In the meantime, back to reality, this is a busy day,  so I simply wish you much fun and leave you with these beautiful images  of homes by the water in Normandy.

So very lovely. I really appreciate living so close to the Rhone. I always find peace when I walk Ben along the quay. And living by the ocean (in California) was that experience times one thousand! How I would love to get back to that some day. Thanks for making me all dreamy!

Bon weekend…

Gorgeous! I do miss our home on the river in Muskoka but luckily our apartment in Dubai overlooks the marina 🙂

We can see the Baztan from our farm in the Basque Country, but the true miracle is her lullaby when we lay our heads down for the night…pure bliss. LOVE your photos…dreamy 🙂

If you lived by the water, you could have a wonderful rowboat tied up outside your front door. Imagine!!!

France is a wonderful country with wonderful sights.
And your photos are a dream.
Yes I too like me would settle there.
A cottage on the lake or river, a dream.

Dearest greetings,

oh how absolutely lovely! Yes, I think that I would like to live beside a river although, with the Thames rising daily just now, I think it would have to be one that does not flood!

Thank you for beautiful pictures and also for my package from your brocante store which I plan to make into a picture to hang at my home in Brittany, more, please!

Merci bien!

We live near a huge river and in Summer get wonderful breezes from it and the ocean that it joins to. What stunning pictures!

These pictures were sooo pretty, and serene, why wouldn't you dream of living by the water? I'll bet if the people saw your place they would trade places for a week or so…….;) Maryanne

Sharon,
I live by an ocean and it doesn't distract, rather water delivers an energy and peace like no other. I'd love to reside in France and ride horses, so am living through your posts! Keep sharing and contact me when you're in Southern California.
