[blank] Loving this country house, situated west of us in Normandy. Clean lines, contemporary design yet totally convincing as a family home.[blank]
[blank]I like their choice of soft grey for the ceiling beams, soft stone coloured flooring or pale wooden floors.[blank]
[blank] A pop of red brings some warmth into the beautiful and simple bathroom.[blank]
[blank]From this shot taken above the sitting room, I would guess that the property is converted from an old barn. The only inconvenience of a high ceiling in our climate, is that the room is difficult to keep warm in the winter.[blank]
[blank]The kitchen on the other hand, must be cosy with its old fashioned range. I like the simple window and half moon table set in front. The bedroom is slightly spartan, and maybe some curtains would be welcome, but I love the tall shaped bedhead.[blank]
[blank] Voila. A typical country house in deepest Normandy, where we may not have the warmest temperatures but we do have the sweet country architecture.[blank]

A beautiful place. I am not too cracked up on some of the color choices, as I feel many of them look cold but then there is a pop of color with that chair! I would be happy to move in here.
Very beautiful. A bit spartan, I like cozier, but lovely colors.
Love seeing these pictures! As usual…it makes me want to be there! Have a great week!

I LOVE this sort of home. It makes me think of many – very beautiful – family holidays taken in Normandy. We almost bought a holiday home similar to this a few years ago whilst still living in London, but after several heartfelt viewings, we decided against taking the plunge – makes me wish that we'd persevered!

wow! I love everything about that home. The best part is the simplicity of it.

Oh, it's gorgeous. I especially love the soft gray ceiling beams. I do love the architecture of Normandy. So inviting and pretty!
Those beams are fantastic!!
Absolutely gorgeous! I also love the beams, spaciousness of the rooms and the wall finishes! Superb ~

Wonderful images.
Country style, but with clean lines.
I love the shocking pink chair in the bathroom too. What fun!
Have a lovely day,

It is a very lovely house. The pop of color as with the red chair, inside shelves of the cabinets and here and there are just perfect and don't detract from the soft grey and white of the home. Clean lines and simplicity appeal to me but I prefer more colors in my home.
That would be my choice! Beautiful and simple…

I know that house, and spent many lovely weekends there.
Somehow after being re-decorated, it just doesn't seem to have the same soul.

Wooden floors add style and elegance to any property, varying greatly from contemporary to traditional. Their initial outlay may be more than another alternative of carpets, but their longevity and value for money can far outweigh exactly that.
When I see your email in my box I get so excited as I pore over it with love for everything. Thankyou for sharing.
