a windy loot shoot

by Sharon Santoni
We are alternating sun and clouds, with a fair wind blowing, so I quickly set up the loot shoot then took it all down before everything was blown away.
Up early again this morning – I can hear you groaning “doesn’t this woman have a life?!”  Well, yes, actually I do other things besides hunting for brocante, including late dinners, which means that some nights like last night are very short!  🙂
So I think I’ll just show you these pictures, then find a deck chair somewhere in the garden and settle down with a good book and a cup of tea!
This week I found a very sweet painting of chickens on a hill- so romantic!,  an old tripod that would make a great lamp stand; a large number of ‘brand new’ old linen hand towels; some white ironstone, an old box of paints;  some charming candle holders for the christmas tree that would actually make great hooks for hand towels in the kitchen and six shoe forms that I think would look great hung on the wall and used as coat hooks!
Hope you’re having a lovely weekend, thank you for reading me.

Wow and double wow! I know it's not nice, but I'm positively green with envy when I see what you track down on your hunts. It's just amazing! Flea marketing in your region must be spectacular. So nice that your share your finds.

Hi Sharon

What exciting finds and treasure. Check the paints, if they are very old many contain lead and properties harmful to health.

Hope the wind subsides and you have a blissful afternoon in the garden

Helen xx

Sharon, sounds like you deserve to steal some down-time in the garden, in a chaise. I completely understand how the thrill of the hunt trumps the need for sleep! You found some great treasures. I adore the boxed game and all of the wooden kitchenware is just wonderful. ~J

You always find a great bunch of "loot". The painting is amazing, as well as the paint set that maybe painted the painting? Looks like you always have a good time finding these items. Do you need a side kick????

My favourite is the lovely tray with the hand painted flowers – specially love the beautiful background colour. So romantic. Also liked the painting of the chooks in the grass. Would look very dreamy in a provencal style room. Best wishes, Pamela

I love, love, love the coat hook idea! And whomever ends up with that painting is quite fortunate indeed. I never how you part with your finds, Sharon. This is why I could never have a shop, as much as I dream of doing so!

Hi Sharon..
I would love the linens and wondering if they are for sale and how much it would cost to have them sent to Eastern Canada….
I expect they are already gone…
