fragrant spring flowers

by Sharon Santoni
[blank]My whole house is filled with the perfume of these pale pale pink hyacinths; I simply couldn’t resist them at the market yesterday.[blank]

[blank]I paired them with a bunch of white tulips, the same of purple, and as I drove home I stopped to pick some wonderful euphorbias growing wild at the edge of a field [blank]
[blank]… happy days[blank]
[blank]

[blank]This is my idea of therapy a few minutes to pick or to buy the flowers;                      then make myself a coffee and put the bouquet together,[blank]

[blank]finally I get out my camera and click …

everyone needs a little  creativity in their day[blank]

Your floral arrangement not only looks like spring…it looks like a still life painting. Just lovely.

This is a gorgeous bouquet, Sharon! I'm sure it's an added bonus that the Hyacinths make it smell divine. 🙂 You have a real talent for creating beautiful flower arrangements.

I just simply love to see your bouquets. You are incredibly talented. Mine always seem a little off. I just keep studying yours to see what I can learn. Have a great day. Mine will be mundane – oil change for the car.

So gorgeous such a lovely blend of colours. I always love your beautiful flower arrangements. I never seem to be able to keep hyacinths in a floral arrangement. Do you do anything special to the stem ?

Ah, the charm is that there is structure, but the arrangement looks loose and carefree, not rigid. The beauty for me are the fresh sweet early spring green colors–the set off all the other blooms. Simply lovely.

Hi Sharon this is absolutely beautiful. I have a paper bag with bulbs sitting here waiting to be planted. The Tulip bulbs are sitting in the crisper part of the fridge waiting…tulips over here you have to replace every year they don't come back. I have been looking at this new book by Carolyne Roehm called Flowers if you haven't had a chance to look I recommend it I think you will enjoy she is brilliant and her gardens beautiful….Till next time Regards Esther from Sydney. PS I think your blog is beautiful Thank you for sharing.

Sharon,
You assemble the most beautiful bouquets. If you even need a job you could be an in-demand florist.

Such a beautiful arrangement! Sigh…. I have always wanted to be able to arrange flowers. I have books, I've done some research, but I don't get much practice and my development is going more slowly than I would wish. I grow flowers for the house, but not enough! More flowers!!!!

Thanks for this. We are having an awful week here in the US. I'd much rather see glorious photos of flowers than read about bombings and explosions and political dreck.
