august giveaway no. 1 – the ultimate garden birdhouse

by Sharon Santoni
Welcome to my August month of giveaways!
Each Saturday of this month, one of the very talented MFCH readers will be showcasing their products here and generously giving you the opportunity to win a giveaway!
We start the month with Virginia who sells these stunning Garden Birdhouses.
The Garden Birdhouse is in Williamsburg style, and is a replica of a garden shed sold by her mum!
Virginia’s birdhouses are made in Pennsylvania by an Amish man.  They are made of wood, with a cedar roof that turns silver gray with time.  The birdhouse comes with a bracket to fit snugly onto a 4″ x 4″ post and stand proud in your garden.[blank]
Virginia tells me that the birdhouses are big enough to attract two families, who fly in and out of the windows.  The double chevron doors are on iron hinges, and pull open for easy cleaning.
The birdhouse is hand crafted and fully weatherproofed, it can stay out in the garden all year round.[blank]
To enter the giveaway, you simply need to take a tour of Virginia’s website, Garden Birdhouses, and come back here to leave your comment and  tell us where you would love to place this beautiful piece of garden decor…. beneath a tree?  beside a stream?   just beyond your porch? …. I want to know all the details!
To gain an extra entry, simply share the news of the giveaway on Twitter or Facebook, and come back to tell us!  A separate comment for each giveaway entry please.

Generous to a fault, Virginia is opening the giveaway to everyone, no matter where they live.  If the winner lives outside the states, they will simply have to cover shipping.

The lucky winner will be picked in a weeks time and announced next Saturday, along with the details of the second giveaway.
Good luck to all and thank you for stopping by.[blank]

Hi Sharon, What a lovely choice for a give-away! This bird house is just beautiful and the connection to Virginia's mum's shed is lovely! I know exactly where I would place the birdhouse… in the entry courtyard at my shop (Le Potager) we have a very pretty crepe myrtle tree that is frequented by many birds including our regional blue birds who would just love to call one of Virginia's birdhouses home! Thank you and Happy August! ~Jen

I have a post waiting for a new feeder. My Dad made a large feeder for me as a house warming present it was lost in a storm.

What a beautiful birdhouse! I love birds, nests and birdhouses! We just moved from our home of 25 years and left our beloved birdhouse for the young new owners to enjoy. We close on our new home at the end of June. Our yard is a blank slate and I would love it to begin with this lovely birdhouse!

Oh, the places this beautiful bird house could live in my yard and garden! I would place it along the edge of my yard that leads to my woods. Then we could see it everyday from the living room, kitchen, and my bedroom.

What an amazing giveaway: I LOVE this Amish birdhouse, and can imagine where it was made having had several holidays in Lancaster County – it is such an interesting part of the US. I love everything Amish – they are so warm and welcoming and creative and their way of life is to be admired.
This birdhouse would be down on our deck overlooking the River Tamar in Devon where hopefully the birds would feel warm and cosy whilst enjoying the view! Thank you Sharon for the opportunity – fingers crossed.

The bird house is beautiful and I loved it covered in snow. I would place it in my rambly cottage garden near the roses and lavender, irises and violets but right where I could still catch a glimpse from the window where my desk is. No work will get done but I will be happy.

Well, if I had that birdhouse (it is, all done and said, lovely), I'd do as Virginia's done, and I'd stick it on top of a VERY high pole.

I moved into a "new" (it's actually 220 years old) house last Spring and, in the chaos of settling, simply hung my old birdhouse in the branches of a large crepe myrtle (yup, we got them also, "Jen"), just a few feet outside the kitchen windows (the room's basically a large sunroom at the dining end).

A few weeks later?….I was sitting at the breakfast table with a visiting friend from Manhattan(understandably enough, this isn't a woman with the most acute sense of Mother Nature's Little Ways) when she suddenly exclaimed "Oh my God!!! Uggh…..there's a snake in the tree!!!! Oh my God!!!""

There was, indeed, a very large/long blacksnake (I've since come to knnow it fairly well, but this was our introduction)…an all-too large portion of which was IN the birdhouse.

"What's it DOING?!?!?!?", she screeched.

"The same thing you're doing," I replied…."Eating breakfast…".

Miss Manhattan suddenly lost her appetite. For the remaining three days of her visit, she wouldn't even go out in the backyard.

True Story. Of course, she's since told all of our mutual friends that I'm living in what's practically the Amazon Basin (it's not; it's just a small town in Central North Carolina).

So, the answer to your question is that I would place the birdhouse on a tall pole…..away from overhanging branches and out of the reach of Mister Thin Lips (my grandmother's name for all snakes).

We are fortunate enough to have a covered porch across the back of our home and both my husband and I love sitting there and watching the birds making use of our bird bath. It would be so nice to have this lovely duplex on a nearby pole.I'm sure the birds of the neighborhood would enjoy it. Speaking of enjoying I loved the story of the designer.

This is a beautiful giveaway and I loved being able to read the story behind them. How lovely to have such a shared family history around the design.

My husband and I are city dwellers so our garden is only a third of an acre but in some ways this makes for the perfect space for such a bird dwelling. I've created a small rose garden and the house would be perfect for the space.

I would place the bird house next to my pond patio on a pole. So that I could see it from my kitchen window.

I did love the photo in the snow.

We live not too far away from the Amish Country Pennsylvania, Lancaster County.

Thankfully David (who lives west of me a few miles) has the black snake in His yard, so my birds would be safe when I put the birdhouse between my gazebo and the grape arbor. Reading this blog is one of my daily luxuries; thank you for your wonderful words.

What a beautiful home for some lucky birds, I wonder how many birdhouses are duplexes! I have a tree stump about 3feet high that it would sit on perfectly, it would also help fill the gap in the hedge cutting down the tree left. We've had lots more birds in our garden this year which I can only assume is due to the gorgeous summer we're having here in Yorkshire.

What a gorgeous bird house! I love the style and I know just where it would go. There is a magnolia tree that I can see through my kitchen window, which the birds seem to love. Right now I just have hummingbird feeders there, but one of Virginia's birdhouses would fit perfectly next to the trees. It would make me look forward to doing the dishes.

An absolutely lovely giveaway. I would love to own a Garden Birdhouse. My husband designed this squared off area out back, using Rose of Sharon bushes. You enter through an arbor draped with climbing roses. Inside this court-square is where I would place this beautiful birdhouse.. So every time I sit and relax out there, I could enjoy the birdhouse and admire the birds it will attract.

I love birds. After moving to NJ from the UK my hubby brought me a NJ bird book, so I can stand at my kitchen back door with my girls and identify our little visitors (my mum would do the same with me as a girl). My mum sent me a birdhouse from the UK for Christmas a few years back (not nearly as grand as this one), it hung in my pear tree, but was lost during hurricane Sandy. I would put the bird house on a post near to that pear tree, so I could stand & watch the birds from the kitchen back door.

What a beautiful birdhouse. My mother loved birdhouses. I would put this birdhouse in my backyard near my "secret garden". A place i go to reflect and get sone quiet time. I would love to share my quiet time with this lovely birdhouse and also have it as a beautiful tribute to my Mother who loved birdhouses.

I wonder if this birdhouse would attract bluebirds? (I am not sure if they like next-door neighbors.) Regardless, I would set this beautiful birdhouse at the edge of my cutting garden. I would enjoy its craftsmanship, and the birds could enjoy the garden insects. A win/win!

Jo @ Let's Face the Music August 3, 2013 - 2:28 pm

I'd have a true dilemma of where to put the birdhouse because we're have additions put onto opposite sides of the house: one a conservatory with lots of windows and the other a kitchen with a windowed bumpout for the kitchen table.

I can see us sitting in either room fully enjoying this spectacular birdhouse.

Ultimately I think I'd put it on the conservatory side where the birds could come and go as they please and not be bothered by the activity in the potager which sits just off the kitchen.

The conservatory side of the house has a large lawn that is edged by a bowl-shaped woods. This lovely edifice for winged (pronounced with 2 syllables) specimens would truly grace this area. Jo @ Let's Face the Music

I live in a flat in an old Scottish mansion house. With some of my neighbours, I'm restoring the garden parterres. Sadly the lead fountain which used to be at the centre is long gone – so we would put the birdhouse there, and instead of the plash of water, we would have the cheeping of birds to cheer us as we clear the weeds…

I love this birdhouse and I love the blog. I have been a lover of birdhouses and have posted all of mine on my blog. I feed my birds, photograph them and love them dearly. We had all three of my birdhouses filled with babies this summer. It has been a blessing, aside from find three nests all around my porch also hatching chirping little ones. We had three little furry heads in one and 2 in another. I would cherish this birdhouse and it would be a perfect addition to my others. I would absolutely love to win. I have fond memories of our family's visit to Williamsburg…she in her teal long dress, hat and apron (halloween pilgrim costume)walking the brick pathway next to a white picket fence AND a white birdhouse! I should like to replicate that feeling in my own small yard with this fabulous-looking birdhouse! There are chickadees that frequent this neighborhood and I'm sure they would love to have a place like that for nesting!

I love these birdhouses! We recently built a new deck on our home. I have a spot near the back window, among some high grasses and hydrangea that would be perfect for one of these. I would be easily visible from the kitchen, the family room and, most importantly, from the deck. We have a cat who loves to lay in the sun in the family room window watching the birds. He would probably appreciate this birdhouse most of all. Thanks for the contest and sharing these houses!

The bird house is lovely and made with such pride….I loved the story. I would place the birdhouse on a post in my backyard. I live in a small (less than 900s.f.) cottage style house that is new but they created a wetland nearby that attracts thousands of birds (so wonderful to watch in the spring and summer months) and my grandsons Ian and Emri would enjoy seeing what birds would make it there home.

We call our home Finch Rest and that's the name of my blog too – we have so many birds and sooooo need a birdhouse.

I live in Ohio so it isn't even far to ship this to me. (Shameless hint)

I am heading over to her site to see her other birdhouses, wow, this one is gorgeous and I love it is modeled after that awesome garden shed. What an amazing garden shed!

Thanks for this opportunity, it is wonderful and generous.

PS

I loved her video of the wrens coming in and out. I had a wren use one of my decorative birdhouses on my potting table earlier this year – it wasn't up high, never thought it would actually be USED by a bird family, and unfortunately a racoon got in and wreaked havoc.

Hubs said he would hang it up high for me, and somehow cut open the bottom so it can be cleaned out easily now – hopefully it will be used again. I have 7 birdfeeders but only that one decorative birdhouse. We have been wanting some for years but haven't gotten around to it yet. We have several gardens and lots of trees now, that awesome birdhouse could go anyway, but I should like it close enough to be able to watch the birds too – but also be out of harms way!

I would cherish this house if we were lucky enough to win.

This adorable birdhouse would be perfect nestled, (of course! ) between the petite Koi pond and the arbor covered with the most beautiful Persian Pea Vine with the loveliest of lavender blossoms. Elephant Ears beneath, a pair of tall pines in back. A tranquil and gentle fountain to the right provides a calming water flow and bathing for my fine feathered friends. Mockingbirds, Bluejays, Cardinals, Startlings, Sparrows and Hummingbirds love their oasis, but they just need a home to rest in after a busy day in their backyard. I think the dragonflies would be jealous if the birds had this home.

Just beautiful! I'm not sure where I'd put it if I won. We recently completely rebuilt our big Victorian front porch. There is a spot on the side where we took out bushes that would be perfect for the birdhouse. That way people going by the house would be able to see it along side our new porch. But, we also put in a new back porch, and that is where the bird feeders are. I would love the opportunity to dither and change my mind, moving it around until I found the absolute perfect place for it. Thank you.

A lovely visit at 'Garden Birdhouses' and a stunning gallery of photos! Thanks for sharing!
Such a delightful birdhouse merits a special spot. Our tiny island (1 1/2 mile long by 1/2 mile wide) has many songbirds and I already imagine one, perhaps two bird families enjoying such a grand house! I would definitively place it near the ivy bush they hide into when the eagles are on the hunt…
A sweet giveaway! God bless,

Simply BEAUTIFUL!!!!!! Oh how this would fit into my cottage garden at my very own "Dove Cottage". I am moving back to Western NY (from FL.) very shortly, and I would love to place this outside my window and see the birds make their new home also. The work of the Amish is so unreal. Dear Sharon,

I've just read over all of these comments following my own, heartfelt, and deeply-touching (I thought) posting.

In contrast to MY reply, all of these others seem crudely grasping, self-serving, and unavoidably materialistic…..too cringe-making for words, actually.

Do, please allow me to repeat that I WANT THE BIRDHOUSE. I want it for my home….so that it can MAKE OTHERS HAPPY (I never think of myself, of course). I'm sure that, given all the deprivations and self-sacrifices I have endured for over FITY YEARS now, I DESERVE that damned birdhouse.

Please, Sharon, tell all your other readers that you like me best-of-all….SO, I win the give-away, I get the birdhouse, and they can all just go back where-ever they came from. Would you, please, just tell them that for me, Sharon?

(I know this is the internet, and irony doesn't necessarily "Translate"….but do I need to emphasize that I'm joking? Actually, I already have several nice birdhouses, which I'll eventually get around to hanging up somewhere beyond the reach of snakes).

Just for the record?…..a client of mine whom I had to visit recently showed me her back yard….where she has a custom-made doghouse, a birdhouse, AND a "playhouse" for her little daughter that are miniature replicas of her own, very large, very new, and intensely decorated&detailed; house.

I thought that surrounding your house with replicas of your house was mucho-creepy (also, that some urologist's wives had too much time on their hands), but I didn't actually say that to her face. I had a picture to sell and didn't planon having to return anytime soon.

At this point, I should admit, that, if I don't get the birdhouse, I will probably find someway to continue going on in this world…….it IS lovely, though.

Oh, my! This is one of the sweetest bird houses ever. It was fun to watch the video of the birds actually using this house, and how clever that it is a duplex. 😉 I would be thrilled beyond measure to have one of these in our garden. There are many places it could happily live. We back to a greenbelt area with a creek and lots of trees. I'd place it at the back of our garden near the woods but in view of our sunroom and terraces. Then I could sit for hours watching some feathery families come and go as they do in the video. Sharon, this is such a generous gift! I'm thrilled to know of this resource. Thank you! ~ Sarah

How beautiful!! I too would have to put this on a higher pole for the same reason of other critters looking in all the best places for something to eat. Also, I have a couple of cats that would spend the day contemplating on a way to get to it!! So, a tall pole and the middle of the backyard with beautiful flowers to surround it and evergreens for birds in the winter. I have a picket fence so it would have a nice backdrop along and I could enjoy it from most every window facing the back. Just gorgeous! Thank you for the link to the web site!

Oh, Sharon, what an absolutely beautiful birdhouse. I, too, live not too far from Virginia's childhood home in southcentral PA.

If I were fortunate enough to win, this lovely piece would be placed front and center in my perennial bed between the variegated redbud and the paeonia. Since my front porch has large white columns, the birdhouse would look custom made and would add a lovely bit of structure to the eastern end of the bed.

As for seeing a black snake halfway into a birdhouse, well, that's the notion that nightmares are made of! After gardening for over 25 years I still have difficulty coexisting with them…ick!

Thank you for a wonderful giveaway.

Today I watched the squirrels and birds playing in my back yard. A ground hog climbed a tree and yes, I am quite sure it was a ground hog. I suppose he or she was looking for higher ground. The birds were so happy, it was like a scene from a Disney movie. It makes me smile now thinking about the natural setting and the busy lives the birds live. I thought perhaps they would like a bird house or a bird bath in my backyard…then I see your post!

I would love the pretty white bird house the wrens were flying in and out of in the video on the Garden Birdhouse site. I planted two peach trees this Spring and imagine it standing on a post between the two trees. My gardens are doing well this year. We have had a lot of rain in the Washington D.C. Area. Bright red geraniums and pink hydrangeas would love the addition of a new birdhouse.

Thank you,

I love this birdhouse, and the serendipitous way that the 'project' began it's life.
One of the first things we put in our new garden 13 years ago, was a lovely dovecote, painted teal and purple with a porcelain finial.
We are building a new house and starting a garden from scratch and I would love to take our old birdhouse, but alas, most of the wood has rotted, and all that is holding the birdhouse together is the paint!
This lovely birdhouse would sit in pride of place in my new garden and give me hope of the beautiful flowers and birds that will eventually flourish from this bare yard.
If I win, it would be winging it's way to Australia.
Thanks for this lovely August offer. 🙂

Such a beautiful birdhouse. I love the serendipitous story of the 'project's' beginning.
My house has a lovely established garden which gives me great joy. It has a profusion of flowers and attracts lots of birds. 13 years ago, I 'planted' a wonderful dovecote, painted teal and purple with a porcelain finial, for the little birds.
Now we are building a new house and garden from a bare paddock.
I would love to take my dovecote with us, but alas, all the wood has rotted and it is held together only by the paint!
I would love to give this beautiful birdhouse pride of place to give me hope for the abundance of flowers and bird that will someday flourish on this barren site.
If I win, the birdhouse will be winging it's way to Australia.
Thanks you.

My beautiful little Maybelline needs an "Extreme Makeover" dream come true…mainly because my cats have figured her out! (She has to keep abandoning her nest whenever they come around and to avoid this the best she can in her present situation, she has completely covered the nest with twigs, except for a tiny opening for herself.)
Will you please consider Maybelline in your choice for this lovely birdhouse?

What a charming and functional Williamsburg designed birdhouse! Such a compliment to design a birdhouse in the same beautiful style as her mother. I especially admire the ingenuity of using the barn door as an entrance to clean out the past seasons nests and the clever use of the windows as an entrance for wrens or chickadees. I know from experience that the Amish are fine craftsmen. When I was pregnant with my daughter I traveled to Lancaster and ordered a beautiful Pennsylvania Dutch Playhouse…My daughter, as well as the neighborhood children, spent many wonderful and fun filled hours playing within. I have recently moved from Pennsylvania to Alabama and one of the things that I miss most is the luxury of a weekend trip to Lancaster county.

What a lovely giveaway. I would place the birdhouse withing viewing distance of my kitchen window, attached to a pole and surrounded by plants and flowers so the "family" could eat all the bad bugs devouring my flowers. Thanks for the chance.

We recently moved to the eastern shore of Maryland. Having a large garden is a real treat for me. One of the first things we did was add a bird bath. What a joy they are to watch!! To be able to provide such a safe and lovely home to raise their babies would be the perfect way to thank them.

I grew up in Virginia and have such dear fond memories of visiting Williamsburg as a little girl. I can still remember the distinct smell of the old boxwood bushes in the town. These birdhouses sure remind me of my southern roots! Beautiful craftsmanship and attention to detail. Love these beauties!

Ohhh what a wonderful birdhouse!!! And such a lovely site to visit! I just love the little video of the little birdies coming and going to there wonder home! I moved from NJ to Georgia 2 years ago… as I was very close to my mom (my bestfriend) she moved here just a few months prior. I came down, she helped me pick out a house, I went back to NJ and sold my house. I packed the truck and headed to begin my new life in Ga. Then the worse thing in the world happened. The day my moving truck pulled up I was visiting with my Mom. At 8pm I decided to go look at my new home, I stood up to leave, my mom said "have fun" and just after she said that she feel to the ground and had a massive heart attack. My wonderful, beautiful, caring mom my best friend passed away right in front of me. Life has not been the same. As I sit here writing this I have my home up for sale with the hope that it will sell in time for me to get back to NJ so I can purchase my Moms 200 year old farmhouse that is for sale! She had a wonderful garden as she love roses, peonies etc… she lived in here garden. And so if I won this wonderful birdhouse I would put it right out side her kitchen window along with her climbing roses where she would stand and watch her birdhouse along with my father who passed away the year prior to my mom. Its a wonderful little home for the little birdies but no matter who wins I am sure they will enjoy it for years to come. I have very fond memories of Penn. and visiting the Amish!! I hope once back in my home state that I will once again go back to visit these wonderful people living the simple life that I now dream of living. Thank you , Lorene Lddesign65@aol.com

Love, love the birdhouse. And I love the video she posted of the birds using it.
If I won it would go in my perennial garden, where I do have a birdhouse but in the Spring it fills up pretty fast and the no vacancy sign makes an appearance. It would be surrounded by a huge Limelight hydrangia and tall growing perennials like Joe Pye, Baptisia, Blackeyed Susans, Clemantis and more. It also would be among the many container fairy gardens I have.
Thanks for the opportunity and a new blog to visit.

What a gorgeous birdhouse! He/She needs to come and live outside my kitchen window where I can watch generations of baby birds grow and fly away to start families of their own! At my former home in Lexington, a dove made a nest on top of the coach lamp beside my side door. Every year she would come back and raise another generation of babies. That was one of the hardest things to leave behind when I moved away….

I love this birdhouse. My backyard and garden are a wildlife habitat and I've been wanting a birdhouse like this on a post, but the inexpensive ones fall apart after one year. I would place this birdhouse at the corner of my perennial border. I also grew up in Northern Virginia and was born in Baltimore. This birdhouse would bring an authentic piece from home into my Northern California garden.

What a beautiful birdhouse … it would be great in my backyard in Northern Virginia. I'm still planning my garden but I think it would look nice by the coneflowers or maybe the crepe myrtle. Birds come for the seed and bird bath so I'm sure it would be occupied in no time. Thank you for the chance to win the give away!

This perfect little house would add the touch the garden needs, and would be a welcome home for the little birds that are in our feeder each day. Thank you so much for the chance to win. Wow Sharon, what an amazing giveaway. Virginia has a beautiful site.

If I won, I would place this house on a pole in the back right corner of my garden. This is my "wild space" with a very large spruce tree. I have so many little birds in this corner. I have a bird feeder and a lovely little bath for them in the garden and they spent a lot of time in the trees, especially the chickadees.

I also have 2 cats that go outside but I've trained them to leave the birds alone. They lay under the bird bath, watching them splash and the birds know they don't have to fear. They'll sit on the railing and chatter with the cats when they are in the sunroom. The only problem will be that this beautiful birdhouse would put my other one to shame! J

I love the story behind these birdhouses! I've bought lesser quality birdhouses going for this look, but they don't last more than a year…this one is obviously quality. Having been born in Baltimore and raised in Northern Virginia having this birdhouse would bring an authentic piece from home to my yard and garden in Northern California. I would place in the corner in my perennial border.

Thanks for the opportunity,

I had a family of birds take up residence in a decorative birdhouse on my large patio. If I won, I would put the bird house close to the open space just within my wrought iron fencing. Oh my! Such a beautiful home for birds. Virginia is very generous! We have a local business that sells Amish gazebos and garden sheds. I've always admired the designs. The Williamsburg design is so timeless and works well in gardens. I'm currently redesigning my front entry gardens and have just finished moving ALL my plants into borders right in front of my porch. I'm planning on putting in pea gravel terraces under the maple trees right in front of the gardens and I will have vintage metal chairs and Adirondack chairs on the terrace for rest & relaxation (and cocktails :D) My climbing rose & clematis bamboo tuteur would certainly be enhanced by such a beautiful bird house. As I work diligently in my home office looking out my front windows I could see the beautiful flowers and this marvelous home for the birds. It would be such entertainment for my cats too as they watch the birds from my desk in front of the windows. lol 😀 I shared it on my newsfeed on FB! It was so sweet watching the bird go in & out the window of the birdhouse.

Bonjour Sharon,

We have big birds, including raptors, in our canyon, so a safe place for the smaller birds to nest (besides our eaves) would be wonderful – we would place it in the shade of a big oak tree just over the garden wall, visible from the family room – it would be lovely

If I was fortunate to be the lucky winner, I would place it beside our small orangery. It will fit perfectly inside the country garden style – and beside the Orangerie will be incredibly nice. Our garden is not great – so I would also be able to enjoy it from inside our living rooms. So whether I am lying and enjoying an afternoon nap in the orangery or sitting in the living room, I could see all the birds. We have many beautiful birds in our garden – and it would be SO nice to see them on such a beautiful birdhouse. I hope so I'm the lucky one … for it is really bird house from my dreams.

At the end / back of my long potager so that it can be seen from my small 1920's kitchens window. I have been struggeling with 104 degree heat, grasshoppers, and hawks this month. But feel its worth it to try and have a sustainable garden pesticide free life. This incredible little bird house would be the focal piont of the long 12' wide garden wich is divided into four squares bordered by boxwood. The introduction of bug eating nesting birds would be another layer in my garden . Its my attempt by bring a classic, vegetable/herb garden to this little Tx home, however hot and dry. Life can still be beautiful and rich where ever life puts us.

How kind of you, Sharon, to hostess this giveaway, and how generous of Virginia to offer it. The number of entries is a testimony to the beauty of the birdhouse. My own more modest bird home was smashed by a tree in a storm last summer. Whether it is this dream home or another one, I am going to put a birdhouse in the birch garden straight out my kitchen window where I spend a great deal of time daydreaming.

Oh my! What a beautiful bird house. Now if only I did have a stream for it to go next to. I would place it to the back of our wildflower garden.

What a wonderful bird house. I would place it in the center of our wildflower garden and hopefully soon to the right of a new pond.

One of my most favorite places to perch myself in the early mornings is on the sofa with the blinds up, windows open and pure warm sunlight flowing through. In fact I did a post on my blog "Here Comes The Sun" about this front and center view. Thanks for the opportunity. Good luck everyone.

Fantastic work ! I would like to place one of these birdhouses in my garden, in Belgium, probably near the frontdoor gate. Every year, I open the garden to the public, and this year the decoration theme is … birdhouses ! I've got birdhouses for birds (many sorts of them :-)), bees, bats, insects… I would be very happy to add this Virginia 's birdhouse to my collection 😉 https://www.facebook.com/events/194758580686125/

My mum passed away almost nine years ago, and I tend her garden.
Every year, rarely seen bluebirds nest in a birdhouse that has become
very fragile. I would love to give such a beautiful new home to them
when they come again to lay their eggs.
Thank you for the opportunity.

Beautiful birdhouse! I have had three nests this year in my garden that I have had to keep close eye on and protect! I would love to have a beautiful bird house like this anywhere in my garden! Also would love to go to visit Amish country someday, how beautiful!

This is a beautiful birdhouse, a work of art. I would place this in my back yard in the area that used to be my herb garden and bring my herb garden back to surround it.

Thank you Virginia for such a beautiful gift. The birdhouse is stunning, the quality, the scale to match it to the original, all wonderful. I live in Houston, adjacent to a nature preserve, so I would love to put it in my backyard (across from our living room window) and watch the bird families enjoy their spectacular home.

I have a small garden on the side of my house. Recently, Hurricane Hannah destroyed the birdhouse I had there. It was a memory of my mother as she loved birdhouses. This gorgeous birdhouse would make a memorable replacement.
