[blank]The third Saturday of the month and another amazing giveaway, made possible by another amazing reader of MFCH!
This could be your chance to enjoy a professional photo shoot ![blank]
[blank]Rebecca Sehn is not only a beautiful lady, she is also a gifted photographer whose eyes are full of magic. She brings an air of innocence and romance to her portraits that is irresistible.[blank]
[blank]She chooses outdoor locations for her pictures and carefully guides her subjects in their choice of wardrobe and make up.[blank]
[blank]As well as private portraits, Rebecca also styles and photographs child’s fashion,…just look at this autumn shot![blank]
[blank]So here is the generous giveaway that Rebecca is offering to one of my readers:
A professional portrait session including a video consultation to plan the photo shoot;
a one hour portrait session in a beautiful outdoor setting;
a private online viewing gallery and five portraits of your choice!
“But”, I hear you say, “where is she? how ever could I meet her for the portrait session?”
This is where the giveaway gets really interesting: Rebecca is on tour during August and September, and at home in Vancouver following that. Providing you either live in or are visiting one of the following places at the same time as her, then she’ll set you up for the portrait session.
And of course, if you don’t win the giveaway, then she is also taking bookings for portraits and commissions as she travels!
Rebecca will be in :
Paris from 27 – 31 August
Mallorca from 2 – 4 September
Dublin and Galway from 7 – 10 September
in London from 11 – 12 September
and back in Vancouver after that!
What more could you ask![blank]
[blank]So if you have always dreamed of having your photo taken by a professional in the latin quarter of Paris, or on a beach in Galway then why not try your luck!
Stop press: I seem to have a problem receiving comments on the blog – if you wish to enter the giveaway, please try to enter your comment, then send me a copy of your comment by email. Thank you!
To enter the giveaway simply take a tour of Rebecca’s site and come back to tell us which of her pictures you particularly liked, and how you imagine your own photo shoot … with your children, your partner, in a field, on a beach or in a city ?? ….. ( you know how I love the details!)
If you would like a second entry, simply share the news of the giveaway on facebook or twitter.[blank]

They're all lovely, but the shot of the girl in the field with the dog is priceless. Short of getting my husband to participate, which might require divine intervention, I think I'd propose a beaded gown that's been dying for an airing, somewhere fabulous in the streets of Paris. Who wouldn't love to have their Audrey Hepburn moment here?
Dear Sharon,
Photograph #3 (of the couple and the children in the field)is particularly beautiful/striking…..and SKILLFUL also…..I know how much work (and good instincts), on the photographer's part, goes into capturing that sort of spontaneity.
I'm not a photographer, myself, but I'm good friends with several well-known ones (and several lesser-known, but fine/talented ones). I'm always vastly irritated by folks who say "What's the Big Deal?…you just point a camera and push a button!"
I (having been on plenty of photo-shoots) inevitably tell such folks "Really?….well, then YOU try it sometime…and we'll see what you come up with…"
In any case, this lady is a fine portraitist. I haven't yet looked at her website, but I'll be doing so after typing this.
Sincerely,
David Terry (who spent a lot of Summers on the beach at Galway, long ago)

Gorgeous work! Of course, the posers and the settings are gorgeous too.
I won't enter at this time, Sharon. Bravo though to a very talented young lady!

I really really love the pix with the little girl and the dog, whose attitude is striking!
Yesterday, I went to Versailles to see the Ahae exhibition at l'Orangerie and I had a delightful time there. So my dream photoshoot would include Versailles' gardens, some beautiful and light dancer's clothes and moves, bows, books, flowers and butterflies 😉
Oh my goodness these pictures are exquisite..the lighting is so beautiful. Of course beautiful subjects do help:)
When I went to her web site, I loved the little girl in the tutu outside, so sweet! I would want a picture in Paris at a cafe with my sweet hubby of 39 years!
Alas….Australia is not on the list for this very talented photographer! Her photos are amazing and I couldn't pick just one but the two little girls with pigtails have been captured beautifully in all their amazing cheekiness. Now if only I could win the lottery and fly to Paris with my sweetheart to celebrate our birthdays later this year??….. We could also maybe drop into My French Country Home guest cottage for a night or two and some brocante shopping….dreaming on…Annie M x
Ms. Sehn's portraits and editorial photographs are lovely. My favorite is the photograph of the little girl and the dog. I'd love to see her photograph my two dogs, a Golden Retriever and a Long-Haired Dachshund, romping with my husband and me at an ocean beach near Vancouver. Thanks for bringing her work to us!
I wish Rebecca would come to Spain – so lovely photos!
What a talented photographer! So refreshing and unique. Love all the pictures on the website, but especially the little girl in the leopard print top and head band. Would love to have the chance to win a photoshoot for my husband and I and our three children……London along the Thames would be great!
Thank you Sharon for sharing this.

thank you katney, maybe it's fixed itself!
Bonjour
We've just arrived in Paris from NYC just a stones throw away
Am looking at these gorgeous photos and would love a family photo in a field….
Ok that's it I'm flying to Paris (from Australia) this very minute so I can meet your gorgeous photographer! What a lovely style she has. I love that the photos are not static but alive. I can just imagine a shot of my husband and son and I sitting on the grass (which is out of bounds) under the Eiffel Tour with a glass of French champagne and a baguette in our hands with the 'Iron Lady' herself in the background. 🙂
Hello Sharon,
I loved the photos by Rebecca. I live in Langley, not far from Vancouver. It would be so nice to win and have the pictures taken with my lovely Grandchildren,ages,10,8, and 7.Two boys and a girl.I love them with all my heart. We were concerned we would never be Grandparents but here we are!
I love your site and favourite blogs. I retired a couple of years ago so discovered all sorts of fun things on the computer. We have been to France a couple of times but never to your area. I live vicariously through you. Each morning after my husband fixes my coffee, I check in with you to see what is going on. I report back to Hubby and he just smiles.
Have never responded to any site before so this is a first.
Sincerely,
Madeleine
Coucou, Sharon!
I'm a loving follower of your blog, fellow transplant in France, and giddy new owner (and renovator) of a little fermette in Burgundy. Although we have lived in France for almost five years, we have not truly felt at HOME until we walked into our very own French country home. Your blog truly inspires me!
We are American family living in Paris with our two little girls and one little speckled cocker spaniel puppy. Photography is the best way for our family to watch our children grow. Since most of our family can't visit us, it's the best way to give our relatives all over the US a little window into our life in France.
Rebecca's photography takes my breath away! It is truly exquisite how she captures the light in her photos combined with the realism of life in such glowing settings. I was especially in awe of her series with the little girl in the cape with her dog, perhaps because I have little girls and a dog, too! I immediately envisioned my own girls and pup in front of the fields of gold in Burgundy–only 1 1/2 hours from Paris!–or anywhere in Paris (maybe a little bit off the beaten tourist path) that we could scheme up.
Fingers crossed…
Mei
Hello,
Still following the blog…and LOVE the pic with the little girl in a coat aside her dog, in the field, the editorial pic hunter oriented.
Would love a portrait, never had one done before.
Thanks!
Nina
Hello Sharon,
I really love the editorial pic with the little girl in a painted animal cape coat aside her dog, in the field, what an amazing shot. I would love a self portrait, should I have the luck to win….I have never had one.
Still following your blog, great linens by the way.
Thank you.
