Today I bring you images of simple living in Provence.

La Ferme de la Celestine where time is taken to enjoy life.

Beautiful baskets, exceptional and traditional pottery and home grown vegetables are sold here.[blank]
[blank]René and Magali learned their crafts from their families and are continuing the tradition of living from their own production.[blank]
They welcome buyers to their home, at the end of a long country path. Here they offer home made jams, home grown vegetables and of course the pottery and baskets so dear to them.
When I met Magali she showed me her collection of pottery that has come down through the generations, including her great grandmother’s water pitchers.
She explained how she reproduces an old technique called ‘poterie jaspée’, using a mix of different coloured clays[blank]

Their simple home and potager look as if they have been unwittingly styled for a photo shoot, the sort of magical encounter that I so love.[blank]
Magali, René and their son soon hope to be selling some of their pieces on line. In the meantime, if you want more information or if you wish to contact them, you can find their details here[blank]

What an amazing place and way of life. Sigh!
Heavenly Sharon, what gorgeous, perfectly idyllic images! Warmest wishes from England – Glenda
Those dark green plates are wonderful! I have the perfect spot for them on my range hood, lol. They would make the simplest food look amazing. I have such a weakness for beautiful dishes, I would be in sooo much trouble in the shop! Their shop with all the different wares is beautiful to look at. From the photos I can imagine a hot summer day, deep silence with an occasional buzzing from a cicada or a cricket chirp and drowsy dragonflies in the air. I would be under the pergola at a cafe table with a cool, refreshing drink just relaxing and enjoying the ambiance. The color of the vintage water pitchers reminds me of the color of the Jadeite made in the 1930s. The baskets are sturdy-looking and would be a pleasure to use I'm sure. These photos make me want to visit Provence more than ever! Thank you for such inspirational pictures on a rainy Friday morning here in New Hampshire!
Magali's work, so beautiful…

Sharon, your post reflects the beauty of this simple country French lifestyle. Merci!
The Quimper Club International will have their 2014 annual meeting in Provence next year. This might be a wonderful studio for the group to visit. Can you send me some specific information about where they are located?
Many thanks! ~ Sarah

Sigh… I wish my life was that simple.
Hello Sharon, it is lovely to see the not so "photo shoot styling" from real provance country life, that almost fallen wooden gate is giving me the chills of wanting to be walking there and enjoying the place. Have a lovely weekend…ciao Z

Simply beautiful and quieting…
The antique pottery is beautiful. It's wonderful that they can carry on the handmade tradition with the pottery & baskets. All the photos are dreamy…ah, I wish to wander down a country lane…nothing like that here. 🙁
What a lovely giveaway! After visiting Marsha's shop many times, I am in love with the necklaces she is giving away. Oh and the leather and chain bracelets.
