Today I am giving thanks forĀ …
patient friends,
enthusiastic children,
a loving husband
and muddy dogs
…. for …
walks in pumpkin-coloured forests,
mornings drenched in dew,
moonlight to drive home by
and skies pink with a rising sun
…. for…
the freedom to speak my mind,
the energy to push myself a little further,
the opportunity to share
and the joy of creating each day.
…….
Thank you for reading this blog
and my best wishes to my American friends as they give thanks together

Hi Sharon, nice post! We don’t celebrate Thanksgiving in Australia either, but just stopping for a moment to give thanks, and not taking liberty and health and friendship for granted, puts you back in the right frame of mind. It helps relieve stress and puts the focus elsewhere.
Thanks!
Deborah from Melbourne.
liberty, health and friendship and family, just about covers it I think Deborah!

Hello Sharon,
As an American, new to your blog, I so much appreciate your words of thankfulness. We sometimes are too busy to remember to be thankful for all that we have, the friends and family we love and the everyday blessings we enjoy. Thank you for reminding me of what is important.
Linda
hi if your having a thanksgiving dinner happy thanksgiving to you and yours am enjoying being here very much enjoy this day…
Lovely post! You captured the essence of my family’s favorite holiday. We always look forward to enjoying family, friends, beloved pets, and great food on Thanksgiving. The weather here is beautiful and the company is fantastic. To quote my middle child, “It’s a wonderful day to be alive.”
Sharon,
Thank you so much for the lovely post and for the bit of France that you share with us most everyday. It really brightens my day to read your musings and view your gorgeous pictures of French living. On this Thanksgiving Day in America I have much to be thankful for. Hope your day is a blessed one!
I really enjoy reading your Blog, it is part of my morning routine…just wanting to know why you didn’t make a point of giving thanks to your “Canadian” friends/followers when we celebrate our thanksgiving in October. Your Blog seems to really be geared to the American’s?????
I apologise Cheryl. No excuse really other than we don’t hear about the Canadian Thanksgiving here, so I didn’t simply think about it. I have readers all over the world, and I certainly don’t try to gear the blog to an american readership.
Thank you for reading the blog

In Denmark we don’t celebrate Thanksgiving either! I am not even sure I know, what it’s
all about! But anyway I love your beautiful pictures, and that’s what matters, I think!
Love from Inge
A lovely post, Sharon. No matter whether today is a holiday of thanksgiving or not, it is always nice to stop and give thanks for all we have. I am thankful for the love and fellowship of friends that invite my husband and I to spend this Thanksgiving day with their family each year.
Lovely words today.
A Happy Thanksgiving to all.
Sharon, there are too many things to mention about what I’m thankful for but for here and for now, I’m thankful, so very very thankful for you, your wonderful blog and being able to be included in a giveaway for my artwork several months ago. I was overwhelmed at the responses and it truly is something I will never forget. Having people whom I never will know respond so touchingly is priceless. You are priceless!
Much love to you & wishing you and your family a wonderful & Happy Thanksgiving now & always. XO
Thank you for sharing your thoughts and beautiful photographs with us. Happy thanksgiving!
