Just a week until St Valentine and I am in the mood for love! Of course you can feel romantic wherever you are in the world, but I know that Paris always has a special effect.
Paris, the city of light, associated by so many with love and romance, chosen by so many for that special holiday, for a treasured celebration …. and so I’ve been wondering …..
Do you have your own romantic souvenir of Paris, a special picture or memory that you would be happy to share with me?
On the st valentine weekend, I would love to fill a page on this blog with romantic images and stories from Paris.
I am inviting any of my readers to join in. The pictures have to be originals, taken by you or someone you know, not borrowed from the Internet, they have to follow a romantic theme, and they have to be easily recognisable as Paris: be it the Eiffel Tower, the river bank, the champs élysées, the roof tops …. I don’t mind.
Over the weekend of the 14th, I’ll show as many of your pictures as possible, and highlight my favourites. And if you want to tell me a little about the story behind the shot, then I’ll do my best to include that too, and to link back to you when I can.
After all, l’amour is what makes the monde go round, and My French Country Home wants to celebrate!
To take part in the fun, just email me with your picture and any details, merci mes Amis!

Back in 2011, I spent eleven glorious Spring days in Paris, visiting my son who was a music student then, attending the Ecole Normale de Musique. One amazing epiphany that Paris had to show me was that there truly are lovers huddled together everywhere…snuggling, kissing, arms around each other, heads together at a cafe table, leaning into each other on park benches…literally everywhere. It was good for the soul to see that much of our better angels of humanity.
Gorgeous idea, Sharon…let me think about it! And dig around in the photo albums…sigh. Happy times…
What fun Sharon! My husband proposed to me in Paris 28 years ago….shall have a hunt through my albums for any photos! Happy memories.

I have good news. I found the site sophia date com, where it is very easy to start a relationship, having met on the dating site myspecialdates.com, it turned out to be successful. I immediately saw the profile of a beautiful girl, and immediately wrote to her and she answered. I hope that this is a fateful acquaintance, which will end in a real relationship. I was lucky that she was also interested in my profile, so she wrote to me, and we started chatting.

I absolutely love the idea of celebrating love in Paris—it truly has a magical effect! I’ve visited a few times, and one of my favorite memories is watching the sunset over the Seine, with the Eiffel Tower glowing in the background. It felt like a scene straight out of a romance movie. I don’t have a professional camera, but I’ve captured a few moments on my phone that I’d be happy to share. Also, to practice sharing and expressing romantic stories, I’ve been using ai girlfriend chatbot. It’s a fun way to explore romance and conversation online.
