It’s the first saturday in the month and time for my first giveaway of the season. August is a month where I try to slow down a little, and I have invited a group of talented women to sponsor a giveaway each week, giving you the chance to win an amazing gift each Saturday .
Jeanne McKay Hartmann is a Seattle-based artist and illustrator. She’s been capturing the world around her with a paintbrush since the tempera-on-butcher-paper days of preschool. After a 20-year career in marketing and PR at Starbucks and Nordstrom, she left the corporate world to pick up her brushes full time.
A big believer in the magic of life’s smallest details, Jeanne’s whimsical watercolours highlight the beauty in the everyday – a bowl of hydrangeas, a doted-on pet, a favourite handbag or vintage chair. She brings the same celebration of simple loveliness to her blog, I Dream Of, one of my personal favourites.
For the giveaway Jeanne is offering to paint the subject of your choice. It could either be a commissioned rendering of your dog, or your house, or something with a French or Normandy theme, like a a painting of Monet’s garden. Dimensions would be 5×7, just the right size to hang in a frame above your desk, or beside your bed. Jeanne is also offering to include a set of 10 coordinated gift tags with the prize. These will be designed to match the painting and printed in 10 copies
So how do you enter this wonderful giveaway? Simply go to Jeanne’s blog I Dream Of and either subscribe or follow. Then take a look at her Illustrations page and come back here to tell me what you like best.
If you would like another chance to win an original painting from Jeanne, then you can enter a couple more times by sharing news of the giveaway on Facebook, Pinterest or Instagram and coming back here to tell me.
The lucky winner will be announced next Saturday, when you will also discover my second giveaway of the summer season.
Bonne chance to you all!

I simply love the blue and white ginger jars. I have collected blue and white porcelain for many years – have to be dragged away from markets and charity shops. Recently I received a gift of a small cross-stitched blue and white picture and I love it – what a wonderful way to increase my blue and white collection but in another medium. A Jeanne McKay Hartmann’s picture would be the perfect complement.
How can you pick just one! The flower arrangement with soft blues and pinks and the painting of the park setting with the muted trees and the urn with the pink flowers would be the two paintings pulling me toward them. If I must pick one, I would have to say that I am more drawn toward the park setting painting. What a beautiful way to share your love of life – through painting – Jeanne, and thanks to you, Sharon, for sharing your beautiful life with us.
I love all the paintings, but most of all I love the painting of the window with the beautiful curtains and the designer chair. I can sit all day just dreaming of France and the beautiful serenity of the country side.
Hard to pick a favourite…all her illustrations are charming! I will say the bowl of hydrangeas, my favourite flower. Thank you for the opportunity to win an illustration. ..I look forward always to your beautiful posts!
Love the blue and whites, and the plates, scenery, etc. All are wonderful!
Love the blue & whites, scenery sketches and flowers. Beautiful work!
Such a lovely blog she has, I loved her post on seashells (signed up to receive posts). And her illustrations! Lightness, purity of colour, and fun. Love the illustration of the summer’s day essentials for the beach. So carefree and lighthearted.
Lovely paintings with great charm.
I really liked the blue and white ginger jar with the pink blossoms. A similar one would bepretty in our powder room.
I love the tip about hydrangea arrangements, I will try that as soon as I have some blossoms to pick and I love the freshness and spontaneity of the hydrangeas. Just beautiful.
I am totally in love with the quaint illustration of the room with a chair and lovely curtains. I plan to decorate my own living room in this pattern. An illustration by Jeanne would be God sent because it would add just that touch of glamour to the room.
I shared on both fb and pinterest. I would really love to win.
What a fabulous idea!. Such beautiful artwork and such a generous thought.I could not imagine anything more delightful than a water colour of My French Country Home Garden in Spring. Whether I see the winter or spring garden header it always lifts one spirits to just look at the header in the email box each day. However the garden in spring is just wonderful and I can imagine it in water colour.
All the best to everyone.
They are all absolutely beautiful but the blue and white bowl with the blue and pink hydrangeas just does it for me! That reminds me of the colours of the flowers and china we used for my daughters wedding in May. But I also like the beach towel and accessories, that reminds me of my forth coming holiday in Majorca! Thank you for the chance to win, Jane x
grazie, mi piace tutto, bellissimo, ma il cuore è splendido!!!!!!!
I love the blue and white bowl with the hydrangeas!
Thank you for sharing Jeanne’s blog. I have now subscribed. What a joy it will be to read it. I love all the watercolours but my favourite is the floral heart.
I love anything blue and white, but was especially drawn to the ginger jars.
Hi Sharon is the giveaway open worldwide or only to a certain country? Her work is beautiful. I especially love the first image of the blooms in the blue/white jar – such an uplifting image.
Hi Noreen, thank you for asking the question, I forgot to mention in the post that Jeanne will post worldwide so the giveaway is open to everyone
xx
incomparable charme!
What glorious paintings! The light just shines from them… They would all bring a touch of magic to the tea rooms I’m hoping to open in Northern France, but my favourite has to be the divine plates. Please, please, please…x
oh no, so much to like! I’ve subscribed to I Dream Of and am looking forward to reading Jeanne’s posts now as well as yours! I like the floral heart, but on your blog, I love the plates (I’ve collected lots of odd china plates over the years) and also that beautiful painting above it of the urn with the spire in the background. Pretty and mysterious! I would love to win. But have enjoyed the beginning of August at MFCH!
I love them all, but my favourite is the room scene showing the chair in front of the window. Here’s hoping!
Sharon, thank you so much for introducing us to Jeanne’s blog. I love the blue and white theme through all her paintings, but the hydrangeas are my favourite and I will remember the tip about using ice water. I have subscribed for myself and shared the blog on Facebook as I know many of my friends in Australia will also love her. Would love to learn to paint with such style.
Hi Sharon
It’s very hard to pick one because they are all wonderful but for the use of colour I choose the pink and blue hydrangeas, they would certainly lift my spirits in the cold winter…
Fingers cross!
x
What a lovely blog, so fresh and alive with colour, and my preference, of course, loving most things…..pardon, all things French as I do, how can one go past the Chanel bag……
Wendy
Thanks for sharing your thoughts. I truly appreciate your efforts and I will be waiting for your next post thanks once
again.
Hi Sharon…how wonderful to see two of my favorite bloggers in one place! I LOVE Jeanne’s work and have commissioned her three or four times so far and know there are many more in my future:) She is beyond talented and I was so happy to see my little topiaries up there, they make me happy every time I see them!
I would LOVE to win to add to my “Jeanne collection”……and a favorite? Oh my gosh..that is sooo hard, I love of course the ginger jars, the blossoms and hydrangeas in blue and whites, the topiary in planter, the Chanel bag, the chair in front of the window, the beach vignette…I love it all!! Happy weekend….
My eye went directly to the ginger jar with my initial on it – would make a nice accent in the powder room or above a jewelry chest. Thank you for sharing! Bonnie G.
Of course I went directly to Pinterest and pinned my favorite ginger jar!
I enjoyed all of Jeanne’s work and shared on facebook, pinterest and subscribed to her blog. Her piece about being obsessed with blue and white hit home for me. I had the pleasure of visiting Paris and Normandy many years ago and love the French blue doors. It would wonderful to have a painting by her that depicted a French country home with blue doors and flowers.
A charming artist! I had not seen her work…thank you for showcasing it. I live in the general Seattle area, and will check it out!
I have subscribed to Jeanne’s blog and so appreciate you introducing me to her work. I’m not sure I could choose one of her paintings easily – they’re all wonderful and colorful! But since I’m always drawn to paintings and pictures of windows and doors, my choice would be the sitting room. In fact, if I were to win I’d probably have Jeanne paint a door with a huge old wisteria growing next to it – so French! Thanks for the opportunity to win something wonderful!
For me, the ginger jar with the monogrammed “B” wins out. But the Chanel bag is such fun. All of them are wonderful!
How fun is “I Dream Of”…..how can you pick a favorite?! Love the chair in front of the beautifully draped window and the curly haired, high heeled lady is way too cute! Delighted to have been introduced to Jeanne’s work and a piece of her art would be oh so special. I have enjoyed your recent posts on Provence. My husband and I spent 18 fabulous days in Provence the end of May and beginning of June, 2014. The Provence charm steals your heart!!!
Took a look at her site and illustrations. Absolutely loved it all! But, anything with sunflowers really makes my heart sing. Thanks for a delicious giveaway…
She has a great blog. A fellow lover of seashells! Nearly impossible to pick a favorite but the blue and white ginger jar would be beautiful in my bedroom! Merci!
Shared on Pinterest! Great giveaway!
Shared on facebook! Would love to win!
I love the heart floral! Following and subscribed!
I signed up for emails. She is very talented! I love the blue and white ginger jar.
Beautiful art! Especially love the topiary.
I’ve been following her blog for awhile now. I love her blue and white vases with flowers, but if I won , I would ask her to paint my new puppy so I could have her sweet fluffy puppy face forever!
I love the Chanel bag, and the floral dress! Great work!
I love the painting of the window with the flowers on the table and the inviting chair just waiting for someone to sit in. I think the window makes you want to see what is going on outside be it children playing or a lovely garden. I would love to walk into that room.
OH my goodness what a charming blog! So glad I found her through you, that is enough of a prize. 🙂 of course if i were to win that would be awesome also. 🙂 My favorite picture of hers is the chair, curtains, and little side table. I would love to crawl into that illustration and read a book, or daydream out the window. Thanks for offering an awesome giveaway!
for me it is the chair by the table in front of the curtained window framed by the lovely wallpaper. all I would need is a cup of tea and a book.
Sharon:
So difficult to select one. I love the blue and white jars, especially the one with the cherry blossoms. Also love the blue chair.
All just so lovely!
Sandra
Hi Sharon, How fun to be here at My French Country Home. Thank you so much for having me! I’m delighted to kick off you August giveaways. Good luck to all your readers who participate. Looking forward to painting something for one of them!
Happy Weekend! XOXO
I have subscribed to I Dream of and would love any of the paintings on the website!
Lynn
Hi Sharon, The soft whimsy in each of Jeanne’s painting is just lovely. As a lover of blue and white, I especially enjoy the color and feel of the hydrangeas. But then again, I would love to be surrounded by any scene from France, sweet rendering of flowers, or cozy interior scene. It’s all wonderful! Congratulations to the lucky winner!
Being a florist, I’m drawn to the lovely florals, but it’s difficult to choose just one, they are all so charming! Thanks for sharing another wonderful blog, I’ve signed up!
I love her work, but if I have to choose, I say her ‘way with flowers’: lovely and inviting.
Jeanne’s work is absolutely lovely. I adore watercolor anyway so her style really appeals to my taste. I especially love the blue hydrangeas in the blue and white bowl. They are almost my favorite flower, although it’s impossible for me to have an absolute favorite flower, but they rank up there for sure.
It’s so hard to choose. I love them all. Probably my favorite is the blue hydrangeas with the pink peonies in the blue and white bowl. It’s not on her illustration page but I also love the dishes with the blue background that I see on your page.
Thank you!
Stunning, elegant, surreal. The paintings of the hydrangeas and the Paris neighborhood are soft and magical. A beautiful talent. Would be honored to display them in my home.
Her work is so fun! You can tell she truly enjoys what she is doing. I enjoyed her lady with whimsical hair, the pink flowers in the blue/white vase, and the topiary. How could you just pick one?
An inspirational blog! I love the one corner of a room, I can imagine myself pick up a book and relaxing. Lovely!
Good Morning, Sharon.
I love the website “I dream of”to win one of Jeanne’s paintings would be so lovely.
to choose one is difficult, The gift tags are so simple and elegant, I would love to

All of the illustrations are wonderful, feminine, and soothing. I too appreciate the tip on making hydrangeas last, thank you for that. I have signed up for the blog as well!
I love the Hydrangeas in the Blue Bowl–and the Chair in the Window–they all are so pretty,,,
Every time you write a post I envision myself shadowing your beautiful life. I will stay at your cottage one day with a friend. We dream of it. It’s so generous of you to be part of this wonderful giveaway. I loved all the illustrations Jeanne created. The one that spoke to me the most was the red, white and blue summer theme – that red and white striped towel send me to the moon! Thank you so much for inspiring me today and every day! Nancy
I love the MOM painting with the dog! Mom is the heart and sole of us all!
Thank you for sharing her beautiful web site with us!!
Lori
Hi, I just want to say that I love all of the watercolor renderings and illustrations by Jeanne McKay Hartmann; her use of vibrant colors is perfecto and her whimsical drawings…just beautiful ..I just love it, love it; I have recently begun to use watercolors…..and truly love all of her work…….I do….I do……<3
It’s impossible to select just one! I adore the interior of the chair by the window, I love the topiary in the french planter, and I am crazy about any of the florals and the blue & white ginger jars and bowls. Thank you so much for introducing me to her blog.
Her little watercolors are all adorable! I’m going to have to think on this but a bouquet of some sort in a silver pitcher keeps coming to mind!
Wow….I love the “Red, White and Beautiful”, she did for the 4th of July. What a wonderful pop of color. Although I love blue and white and I have this color theme in one of my guest bedrooms, I Dream of red Poppies in the south of France…..fields and fields of red Poppies that bring joy and energy to my home. Hope I win…….Poppies, Poppies, Poppies….
Of course, I adore her style and love it all but the bottle of CHAMPAGNE with the BIG C would do just fine for me!I would Love to WIN……….in fact I have spoken to her about painting my house in the past and I dropped the ball………….MUST GET ON THAT!
Happy AUGUST………….XX
Lovely illustrations! I love the hydrangeas in the bowl, but the the beach towel is so fun also.
I love the dress, it reminds me of note cards that I once had from Anthropologie and what can be more feminine that a dress?
Lovely work she does. They are all beautiful. I remember when I participated in the giveway last year, it was a thrill to say the last & I will always will be grateful to you Sharon. X
They are all wonderful.
I would hve to say the bowl of hydrangeas is calling to me.It would be wonderful to look at in a long dark winter..A picture of a cottage door in Provence or Normandy with flowers on the doorstep would be lovely and oh so peaceful.
She is a very gifted artist.
I love Jeanne’s blog. So beautiful! The blue and white bowl of hydrangeas are my favorite. I love blue and white and hydrangeas are my favorite flower.
The park setting is so charming. I adore it.
She does lovely watercolors! I am an artist myself so I’ll not participate in your drawing for give away…but I will enjoy her blog…very refreshing and lovely! Thank you for sharing!
Oh, my! It’s so hard to choose when there is so many lovely choices. I have a passion for hydrangeas and would love the bowl of them (unless I have the wrong flower). But the white rose bush is also a delight. Thanks for introducing yet another talent to us! Merci!

Hi Sharon,
I’ve subscribed to Jeanne’s site for some time. Like you site there is a kind of calming effect when I read updates. I love the hydrangea in the blue and white bowl. Her paintings are amazing. How fun to own one.
Karen
I am absolutely smitten with Jeanne’s art work…and she is a sweetheart too! I love everything she does, but if I had to pick a favorite, it would be her ginger jars. Thanks for this amazing giveaway and for sharing your beautiful blog with us each day! Have a lovely weekend! xoxo
I just joined Jeanne’s web page. Lovely, thank you for sharing her with us. I would love to have her artwork hanging in my home. I think the hard part would be, what to choose. They are all beautiful.
I love the hydrangeas in the blue bowl/cachepot. It makes me happy every time I look at it.
Hard to choose, but perhaps the dress–ready for adventure in the most prepared way
I’m instinctively drawn to blue & white, and I love hers! BUT I think the quilted Chanel bag washed in the colors of the French flag is just fabulous!!! I can’t believe this is a local Somebody in my town of Seattle that I haven’t noticed before. Definitely a subscriber now and anxiously anticipating more of her work.
I love Jeanne’s style and just subscribed to her blog. The painting of the plates and that of the dress are instantly appealing to me, given my own plates collection and my love for sewing my own clothes years ago. Thank you for sharing this talented artist with us!
The red white and blue purse!
I just moved into a new home. A new painting with blues would be a great addition to my family room area. I love the chairs and the plates, too.
I love following your blog because I also love antiques and anything French. As August begins I get ready to go back to school. I teach at a 2 yr university in La. Summer is practically over for me but I can enjoy short moments when I see your posts.
Have a great August.
I am a sucker for anything blue and white. I love the ginger jar illustration – but as many have mentioned, how can you pick just one? What a talent!
I love watercolor paintings! The blue and white porcelain is currently filling my cabinet in my kitchen. Love, love her work!
This is me!! I love everything! Blue & white., everything French,…I ADORE HER WORK.
she is amazing. Really touch my soul.
Beautiful work. Love anything with a French design.
I have always been fascinated with blue and white objects of art. I have chosen the vignette of the chair by the window as my favorite, though all are beautiful watercolour paintings. I admire Jeanne for following her heart, illustrations. Thank you for the opportunity to join this giveaway contest. More power to My French Country Home, Sharon Santoni and to Jeanne of I Dream Of.
All of the pictures are beautiful as well as romantic. If I have to pick just one it would be the floral heart. It represents two of my favorite things. Flowers and Love. I shared these beautiful things on facebook and twitter.
I can’t wait to begin receiving Jeanne’s blog. Her watercolors are stunning. Hard to pick a favorite but I narrowed it down to two — the white chair in the sitting room with the gauzy blue curtains and the blue porcelain vase with the pink blossoms. If I were to win, I’d ask Jeanne to paint my house — one that started out as a tract house but now looks as close to a country cottage as I could make it. It’s blue, of course. 🙂 Thank you, Sharon, for your wonderful blog and for offering Jeanne’s art to someone who probably never would have found her otherwise. I found MFCH through the generosity of a Facebook friend. I will certainly share Jeanne’s site too. What a find!!
I adore the Chanel quilted purse print. So girly!
I shared the contest on FB as ‘Lika Deala’
I like all her whimsical water colors. Surprisingly, I was drawn to her girl in jeans. She has charisma and class! What a fun time she must be having creating these.
I’ve been following Jeanne’s delightful blog for quite a while and I’ m always impressed with her creativity and talent. I particularly like the bowl of hydrangeas, one of my favourite flowers.
I’ve been noticing Jeanne McKay Hartmann’s comments on various blogs for some time, but I did not know that she is an artist or that she lives in Seattle. I’ll look forward to receiving her blog posts. My favorite painting shown on her Illustrations page is the watercolor of the Hydrangea blooms in the blue-and-white bowl. I particularly relish her portrayal of the blooms. Hydrangea thrive in my shady garden here in Portland, and we glory in them! Thank you for introducing us to Ms. Hartmann’s blog and for the opportunity to enter this giveaway, Leslie in Oregon

I absolutely love the first picture with the flowers. It is just beautiful!
Oooooh I love these! As a girl obsessed with champagne, the bottle and big C ticks a lot of boxes…. But the hydrangeas are also beautiful. Perfect! X
The blue floral dress is my favorite. Gorgeous work. Thanks for the chance to win!
Thank you so much for introducing us to this amazing artist. I have subscribed to her blog and I will look forward to each and every post from both of you. I think my favorite illustration is the blue and white bowl with the enchanting lush bouquet of sunflowers. It is such a joyful piece of art! Seeing it would make anyone happy and grateful for the simple pleasures in life. Thank you again for your beautiful blog and for inviting us to become friends with another talented artisan!
The soft flowers in the vase….no….wait the room with the chair by the window…no….wait…I can’t make up my mind. All so lovely. Thank you for introducing her so we can enjoy all the beauty she creates.
Beautiful style! They have a soothing effect. My favorite is the flower arrangement in the blue vase. Love them all…thank you for sharing this.
Love the pretty dress! It reminds me of styles we wore in the late 60s, back when I was truly young and when the silhouette really showed off a small waistline. A watercolor painting is so challenging to do!! The colors this artist uses are so appealing – all the lovely blues and pastels. Having taken my first painting class ever (!), I find her images inspiring and her colors really entrancing and inspiring. Thank you for introducing her to us, and thank you for your blog! It is one of the first places I go in the morning and it never ever disappoints.
Such a tough job to pick just one favorite! But if forced to pick, I’d have to say the lovely illustration of the chair by the window with the lovely blue curtains. I can just picture myself sitting in the chair, gazing out the window, dreaming of France. Thank you for introducing us to Jeanne and of course, many thanks to you for sharing your world with us!
I love the dress!
Hi,
I loved her standardized white rose in the Chippendale container.
Lovely idea…thank you for putting the contest together for your readers.
All the best from Nova Scotia, Canada.
Dorothy
I like all of her illustrations, lovely, light colors…one I like best is the chair beside the window with drapes drawn…very serene and peaceful…thanks for sharing!
I loved the “Secret to Lasting Hydrangeas.” In Oklahoma, USA, hydrangeas are in full bloom, and these particular blue ones in the illustration look very much like the ones in my garden. The pictures of Nantucket made me want to go there again as it has been years since I was there, and the views on the site brought back a few memories.
Donna Stokes
Love all of her work, hard to pick just one. I really love her blue and white striped French chair. I would welcome any of her work. Thank you for sharing her with us.
Love following you Sharon. I love her artwork, but my fave is the hydrangea. Count me in. God’s peace, Kelly Olson
Oh my goodness what beautiful paintings, I love them all but my favourite would have to be the hydrangea blooms in the gorgeous blue and white bowl reminds me of wonderful holidays spent in France. Thank you so much for sharing.
I have always loved the softness of watercolors. I am also in love with blue & white dishes so of course I like all of them with b/w. There are 2 that really spoke to me….b/w vase with hydrangeas & the ginger jar with initial! Thanks for the opportunity:)
Shared:)
Sharon, I love all of her illustrations, but the one depicting the window, curtains, and chair is one I would love to have. Thanks for sharing this opportunity with your followers.
I would love a painting of my yard.
Hi Sharon, beautiful illustrations from Jeanne.
I have subscribed to her blog and checked it out, I particularly love the painting of the Frech chair sitting by the draped windows.
The clours are gorgeous!
Thank you for the opportunity x
Hi Sharon,
Yet another wonderful contact.
These paintings are really different & would be perfect for my daughter- a trendy 31 year old.
I just love the paintings of clothes.
One of these would be perfect for her bedroom – in Provence- for when she stays.
I have a completely bare white wall, just waiting for the perfect painting- which I have been unable to find yet.
Although our house is very modern, Provence style- her room is less so & has some wonderful Bright colours in it.
I will ask Lucy to put the paintings on her face book- she has hundreds of friends!!
I will forward the paintings also to a friend who is a huge collector of blue & white china
Thanks
Gill Dowling
Hi Sharon, I love flowers and blue and white so I adore her bowl of hydrangeas. Jeanne I love how you catch the magic of life in your exquisite small paintings!
Hi Sharon,
I do love your blog and your house and garden are a dream!
I have just subscribed to I Dream Of and hope that puts me in the running for your first August giveaway. Fingers crossed. Now, I don’t live in Seattle or France. I am miles away in Melbourne, Australia so I hope that doesn’t preclude me from the giveaway. We have a little dog called Scuffy (my 4th child!) and a 5 by 7 of her would be lovely.
Kind regards
Helen Edwards
I love the chair and table by the window! Thanks for sharing a
wonderful talent, Wanda Decker
Salut Sharon! There were several things that I loved about I dream of’s illustrations. One of the first things that caught my eye was, “hey! I know this work!” I’m also a blue and white girl so she struck a chord. Thank you!
Sharon, it makes me super happy that you are featuring Jeanne and her work. I can tell you first hand that she is as lovely in person as she is talented and definitely deserves the attention… 🙂
Oh I LOVE her illustrations. Her colors of yellow, pinks and blue are my favorite. I love the blue and white chair and the yellow and blue jar!!!!!

Cecelia Weeks
The Boxwood!!
I love her work. Thank you for introducing me to her work. i love the hydrangeas but the dress is in the exact colors I have planned for a bedroom in my new rebuild here – finally. Will be using her instructions for keeping hydrangeas alive also. I never seem to manage to make them last but I still preserve.
I particularly like her beautiful blue and white vase filled with pink branches! Beautiful.
Hope Price
Hi Sharon,
First of all let me tell you how much I enjoy your blog…Love! I look forward to my daily inbox knowing both you and I Dream Of posts will be there. Being a lover of all things french, an animal lover, (love your photos that include your side companions) and beautiful photography starts my day off right. Jeanne is extremely talented and I have been following her for awhile. Her take on joy and beauty in the little things is so right on and can put one back on track if you have wandered off in the doom and gloom world we sometimes can live in. Anyway, living in Seattle as well I have meet Jeanne and would love to have one of her illustrations so count me in on the entry. I love all she does but the Flowers, garden scenes, blue and white would be my most favorites.
Thanks for all the beauty you bring us.
Shelby
Hi Sharon,
I don’t participate in FB or the other social medias. I looked at Jeanne’s website and signed up. What talent! I especially liked the curtained window with the sheer shade and the cozy chair. The photo reminded me of my grandmothers Danish home wherein she had a purple African Violet on the small table …. brought back wonderful memories.
I’d love to have a chance to win a piece of her artwork.

I love Blue & white and Hydrangeas so number 1 is my favorite but, I love all her work.
Hi Sharon
Wow! I love Jeanne’s artwork. Watercolor is a difficult medium to master. Her pieces are so spontaneous and full of life! Hope I win one! We just returned from 4 weeks in Provence, Paris , and Normandy. Had a wonderful time exploring some new areas. I had contacted you about staying in your cottage but it was already taken. Maybe another time, because we absolutely loved our first visit to Normandy. Stayed in Bayeux, which was lovely, and took the tour of the dDay battle sites and cemetery. We had taken the train from Aix en Provence so we did not have a car to really see more of the area. We have visited Provence for the past four years and found Normandy to be much different and a place we would like to come back to. I find much inspiration from your website. Thank you for taking the time to share the beauty of your life in Normandy. I live in Southern California.
Sincerely
Judy
Water color is so very hard, you have to think in the negative space. She has captured that very well. I love the simple chair, as it allows you to feel like your sitting in it and reading your mail or drinking Champagne. Thanks for the opportunity. DeeDi
Hi Sharon,
Thanks for a lovely giveaway. Jeanne’s bouquet of flowers which you have featured is my favorite. Every trip to France, I snap pictures of flowers whether it is in the Tuileries, Giverny or just walking aimlessly around Paris. My dream is fresh flowers always but a lovely picture easily satisfies me!
Thanks for introducing her. I signed up for her blog.
Mona Chase
Jeanne’s illustrations– they are all charming. The Chanel bag/French flag is very clever and appealing…if I had to single out just one, it would be the pink (cherry?) blossoms in the Chinese vase.
Hi sharon,
thanks for the interesting link, really all to my taste. I have subscribed to the inspiring blog and like the hydrangeas flower arrangement in the basket type vase best.
Yours gisela b.
Love the wallpaper and blue curtains, would like to be sitting in that chair
Love your newsletters and the photos, hope to come to France and see your home someday
Lila
Dear Sharon: All the illustrations are so lovely. I particularly like the chair by the curtained window. I look forward to your blog every day and it always makes me smile. Thanks for all your hard work and effort which always comes through in your amazing photos and comments. It is a lovely ride…..Best regards, Sandy Bloomer
Hello my sweet Sharon ❤️
How absolutely lovely to see a fellow

Wow- thanks for sharing ‘I dream of’… I could easily see all those illustrations on my walls- but the blue striped chair reminded me of a chair in my grandparents’ bedroom oh so many years ago!
I love escaping through your blog – so appreciate your talent!

I love the CHAIR ! Anything blue, yellow and white ! Also, love the FOUR PLATES ! Love your talent, simple and pure designs. Thanks for sharing ; ))))))
Dear Sharon, I have been following your blog for sometime now because I love France! Several months ago my husband and I took our family to France for the first time. We stayed at a friends B&B north of Paris for a week and stayed in the south of France for a week. I love everything about France and we plan to visit Normandy next time we go! Thank you for this opportunity to win a watercolor by Jeanne. I adore all of her work and now follow her. I would have to say the topiary is my favorite although I also love the ginger jars she painted. So very beautiful.
I’ve just subscribed! I love the interior rendering of the chair in front of the window.
Oh they are all so lovely! But I’m especially drawn to the hydrangeas.
With my youngest son leaving home, I looking forward to putting together my first guest room. I want to use soft and dreamy light blues and luscious fabrics. Adding just a touch of pink or light yellow accents.
Sharon I love Jeanne and her works of art are so lovely. I adore the topiary style she created for Tina and would love something similar for my powder room, as there is a perfect space just waiting!

Every illustration is absolutely beautiful! If I could choose one for myself, I think I would go with the monogrammed ginger jar.
I follow Jeanne and always love when she has a piece of her work featured. I especially love when she does simple fruit, like lemons or limes, and her furniture pieces are so pretty. Thanks as always for your beautiful posts. Your pups are always a treat to see!

Dear Sharon, a friend has just told me about your Blog. How exciting. Am in love with it already. Totally inspired by the water colours from I Dream Of… so so pretty. Love the blue and white vase. But the red and white bowls are gorgeous. Memories of photographing a cookbook in Provence. Beautiful.

I like them all but my favorite is the chair by the window…and the hydragenas, thanks for the beautiful offer.
They are all so beautiful but my number one choose is the vintage style dress. It really spoke to me and reminded me of one of my favorite books, A Vintage Affair. My second choice is the window with the beautiful blue drapes and chair.
Oh my gosh, she is so talented!!!! I think I like the painting of the pretty dress the best– but all are so wonderful!
What a lovely treasure! I love the blog and all of the illustrations. Hmmmm, if I have to pick just one, I’d choose the hydrangeas in the bowl. Merci!
Nothing would please me more than a painting of my 2 little jack russels. They have been faithful companions but have approached old age and will have to be laid to rest soon. As an epileptic they always warn me of an incoming seizure. I will miss them dearly. You do excellent work and it is very soothing.Brings comfort to a soul. Thanks for sharing an the offer. The lucky recipitant will cherish it for generations.
Lovely and most charming! The painting that makes my heart sing is the sweet chair sitting near the curtained window, with flowers on the table, framed by the vintage, patterned wallpaper. I want to be sitting right there…

I instantly feel in love with that pretty room with the white slipper chair! Made me want to turn the light off in my office and head home to start the weekend with some of my stitching and kitty purring by my side!
I am always inspired by your beautiful blog & would love to win something! As a professional soft furnisher I would of course love one of Jeanne’s pretty watercolours; especially the interiors scene with the lovely curtains, soft ruched blind & slipper chair…I can just imagine it above my desk in my workroom.
My favorite is definitely the heart with flowers. I collect hearts and flowers, so to have them together in a piece of art would be lovely.
Thanks for the challenge, I love her work.
All lovelies!! I work for a couple of different artists and can appreciate the love and care into each piece! Hard to choose just one. The window scene speaks to me most and calms my spirit.
