Just putting it out there in case my readers know of anyone …. I am looking for an assistant based in Paris! For the past couple of years I have been fortunate to work with a couple of young american women, and we have come to the point where we need someone else.
The responsibilities of this new team member would be customer care and social media, and if everything goes as expected, that role could expand during the year ahead.
I am looking for someone who is already based in Paris, he or she should be English mother tongue with excellent French, great IT and social media skills and a creative mind. We’d like the person to appreciate the MFCH universe and have a good sense of humour. This is a small operation so anyone on the team needs to be flexible and easy going.
If you know of anyone who could be interested, or if you are interested for yourself, please feel welcome to drop me a line with your information to contact@myfrenchcountryhome.com.

I would be willing to quit my job, leave my husband and hearth and home to move to Paris — just to be your assistant. Alas, cannot speak French, only in my daydreams….
I am english but know only a few words in french. My DNA showed I have over 20% French. Would I work??

I’m a Certified Stager and Designer, IT skills, have three computer programmers in immediate family as side kicks, Federal Grant writer, just traveled seven countries in Europe this past October and has to use body language to communicate but it worked. What a dream job. My husband said I could never learn French.
I like your style…..:)
That comment was meant for Ceew who would leave her job/husband/hearth.
😉
Love your answer Ceew! You certainly have the sense of humor…I’d hire you in a heartbeat!
I’m in! Of course, I don’t speak very good French and have minimal IT skills. I do however have some very cute dogs and an excellent sense of humour. Sharon, engagez moi!
How excited I was to receive your book this week before leaving for Europe, from my DD for Mother’s Day upcoming. I recognized so many photos from your blog which I LOVE, love, love. When I told her “I know you” my DD was delighted w/her choice!
Lucky me!
Someone will be a very lucky person to land this dream job! A pity there are so many of your followers who would jump at this opportunity, unfortunately most of your older readers probably lack the essential great IT and social media skills!
Well I’m in Rouen, not in Paris, and I’m only fully available between November and April as I’m guiding all the rest of the time, but I do speak good french and know how to use social media and general IT, would I do?! Would love to have something extra to do, particularly in those winter months and love your blog.
Well my only two qualifications is that I live in the MFCH universe and I have a sense of humor. What a dream job. XXOO
This sounds like something out of one of your stories! Do the job perks include a beautiful antique Paris apartment with a rich and handsome Frenchman for a neighbor?
From personal experience, I can HIGHLY recommend working with Sharon at MFCH!!! Truly a marvelous, enriching, and educational experience. Love love love!
What a dream job……for someone. I love that you included “sense of humor” as one of the qualifications. As an architect I typically begin a new client relationship by reminding them that we will embark upon a journey. And I ask them to bring two things – patience and a sense of humor. Both of those go a long way toward smoothing out the inevitable bumps in the road.
It has been a pleasure to watch you grow and expand. All best wishes as you continue your journey – and very happy to be along for a small part of the ride!
Steven- u sound like a great leader. May all of ur journeys begin & end with success!!
Au Revoir, mon ami

Dear Sharon,
In my next life, I hope to possess all of your desired employee’s qualities, but most of all hope to live in Paris.
The grass is always greener…

Hi! I would love to work for you guys! I’m American, but I live in Paris, and just passed the C1 fluency exam and and currently writing my mémoire in French!
I actually know someone who might fit perfectly. But is it a full time job or as needed?
Sharon, reading all these comments which are so varied and fun, makes me think you could write one of your stories about the people who applied for the perfect job! Now that would be great to read! Hope it starts some ideas for you!!

Those rare moments when I even feel sad that I work as a developer, and not as a housekeeper. But actually I’m very happy to work in the IT field and in the company that hired me when I was a junior specialist. I found a job on relocateme, where there are many developer jobs with relocation assistance. I’ve long dreamed of moving abroad, and for me such vacancies were literally a ticket to the life I wanted to have
The employer forms his first opinion of the applicant based on the resume, and it should be positive and stimulate further communication. I usually use AI resume builder for this. A correctly composed resume is designed to attract attention to your candidacy, to stand out from other applicants for the position. In practice, all issues related to personnel policy are often decided by office managers or secretaries, and the first thing they start studying is the resume, not the educational diplomas and work book pages.
