The idea of a kitchen-themed box has long been tumbling about in our minds, and this August finally seemed like the perfect time for it- the summer vegetables are still in season, the weather is still beautiful, but we’re just starting to think about the autumn and getting back into a home cooking routine. This box was lovingly curated with that idea in mind. We searched for items that would be as beautiful in your kitchen as they were useful, and everything we included we would honestly love to have in our own kitchens!
Without further ado, here are the contents of the August Stylish French Box! We would love to see how you use these items in your kitchen, so tag us on Instagram, and check out our Reviews page to read others’ reviews or to leave one of your own! And stay tuned for the end of the post, as we have a special announcement…
A stoneware pottery bowl by the Manufacture de Digoin: Fabricated in the Ceramic Valley, deep in the Burgundy region, this bowl will impress you both with its durability and the craftsmanship that went into its creation. You can read more about the story of the Manufacture de Digoin here!
A printed apron by Serie Louise Limitée: The perfect accessory for channeling your inner French chef! This pretty stonewashed linen apron will become your favorite thing to wear in the kitchen.
A Marseille soap by Marius Fabre: One of those indispensable items for any French kitchen, these soaps from Marius Fabre come from a family-owned business in Salon de Provence that still makes their products in the same way as their great-grandfather did a century ago.
This month’s watercolor print: The latest beautiful work by our artist Celine Chollet features a blue-shuttered house in Provence.
A chocolate fondant preparation by Marlette: We couldn’t have a cooking box without including something delicious, now could we? This preparation from Marlette will help you make the perfect fondant au chocolat and has all organic, ethically sourced ingredients.
Three copper cannelé molds: When not using these adorable copper molds to bake cannelés, a traditional Bordelais pastry, we love the idea of keeping them on your counter with tea candles for a French-inspired deco piece.
A copper candle by Hypsoe: Our ideal kitchen would be full of copper, so we’re providing you with a double dose in this box! This candle is created by home fragrance brand Hypsoe, to make your kitchen smell delicious even when you’re not cooking, and the copper container can be reused after the candle is gone.
An antique teacloth: Our brocante item for this box is one that you’ll find as functional as it is pretty. The red-on-white pattern is traditional of this type of linen blend teacloth.
A book of recipes: This might be one of our favorite items in the box, because we’re so excited to share these recipes with you! All come straight from Sharon’s kitchen, made with wholesome, seasonal ingredients, and we can’t wait for you to share with us how you make them in your own kitchens.
We hope you loved discovering the contents of the August Stylish French Box as much as we loved selecting them for you, and guess what- we’re already taking orders for the November box! Reserve yours now here!

My August box is heavenly! Each item is perfect and well thought. I couldn’t be happier. What a treat for me! This may be the best box yet, and certainly will be hard to top. Kudos to you Sharon for putting such creativity and love into August. Well done!
[…] French Box which was French cuisine inspired. So more details about each of the items in the box here. ~ Q: Life advice for enjoying the everydays? Pay attention to the details, keep your eyes open […]
This was my first time receiving one of your beautiful stylish boxes. It was such a welcome treat. I love all of it. Recognizing these things can’t be purchased mostly unless in France makes it such a gift. Thank you for putting together such a lovely package. I’m going to cry when the candle is done… it has the most pretty scent.
The gift boxes are so lovely. Your taste is impeccable, and photography, beautiful. You’re tempting me!
Can anyone sign up for the giveaway or is it for those who received the August Box? I’ve never received a Subscription Box but I enjoy looking at the pictures, and the May box was my favorite. I tried to copy what you put in there for a gift to a friend. This August box might have to be copied as well:D
One day…one day (sigh)…
So hoping for one of these lovely boxes!
I don’t get your lovely boxes, but I love seeing what you have included. This past one was my favorite I think. I’m sure everyone that ordered one is so excited to see all those wonderful surprise gifts.
I don’t receive these boxes but look forward to the reveals. They are always so special and beautiful. Maybe one day I will sign up for at least one. The August. Box was particularly enjoyable!
Sharon,
I ordered this box for my sister’s 60th birthday and she LOVED it! I am a relatively new blogger and I’d like to share this box with my followers. Do I have your permission to do so?
I cannot afford these lovely boxes but adore looking at all the beautiful items. I wish that those of us that cannot get the boxes could also be entered into the giveaway.
I wonder if you’ve been able to send your lovely boxes to Canada yet? This one is my favourite so far.
This was a spectacular grouping. It would be wonderful to get one for my besties.
Sharon, may I tell you something? I was the winner of the August French Box, and this is the truth, when I received it I was so excited I couldn’t open it for several days. I took it out of its shipping box (even that is a work of beauty) and just let it sit on my table! The box is a gift without even opening the contents…..I have a wonderful husband of 42 years, but he is not the best present giver, bless his heart. My grown married kids and my children-in-love are wonderful also and certainly remember me on special days, but it’s been a long time since I received such an amazing gift, wrapped exquisitely, as this!!! As corny as it sounds, I will remember this always. Each item in the box is a small french treasure, and being an avid cook, I could not have been more delighted. Thank you for creating this! Thank you for allowing one person each quarter to be the recipient of this most special gift. I am so impressed and now will order others on my own…..Blessings to you, Sharon! And to your beautiful blog and french country home. Cate
Love my.box. Everything is really so special, and will be much enjoyed. You really outdid yourself this time. I always get so excited opening each item. Love love your blog!!!
I love your website, and all the offerings and pictures you provide! Everything is so beautiful. I like to daydream about having my own French place and garden. I did start a small French garden in my backyard with grapes, lavender, French tarragon and two climbing pink roses. How do you go about purchasing one of your monthly boxes. I especially love this one.
Wow! How beautiful and special the August box is, I love everything about it! The bowl, the apron, the chocolate fondant and everything else looks exquisite, For now I can only dream about it and enjoy looking at the amazing beautiful pictures .
What you do is very special! Thank you
Sharon, I love, love, LOVE the August Box! This was the first box I’ve ordered and it won’t be the last. I’m particular about candle scents and the one in the box was amazing. I’m trying to figure out how to buy it in the US and just might have to wait until I get to Paris in September to purchase a few. It was fun to see you in Sonoma in June and I hope to see you again at Chatou or otherwise in September.
I so regret not ordering the August box, I could have really used a special treat this summer. I’ll be watching for the November box.
Sharon, this is my third box, and I think this may be my favorite, it’s the cooper and linen. For me the box has been like receiving a Christmas and birthday gift wrapped into one very lovely special box. The boxes are not just feminine, but thoughtful with each piece having great intention. It’s a wonderful way to end the summer. Cheers
