our new MFCH tour schedules are here!

I am so happy to announce that after long months of ‘covid-limbo’, the MFCH Tours are now rescheduled! Hurrah! We have one tour this coming fall as well as a full schedule for 2022.

For those of you who don’t know about our tours, we welcome small groups of guests here in France to show them an authentic side to French living that can be hard to find as a tourist. Our groups are never more than 12-13 guests. Either I or a team member accompany the tour at all times. We iron out every detail and think of everything, leaving you to just sit back and enjoy the ride.

I have been hosting the tours for quite a few years now, and I’m proud to have so many returning clients, who love the relaxed, yet well organised, rhythm to our time together. We make the most of each day, we enjoy delicious meals along the way, and offer a full and diverse schedule for each trip, and yet nobody feels rushed or pressured.

We stay in beautiful hotels, enjoy good food and good wine, and often in a tour we include a private visit to a home or garden. Itineraries vary from one tour to the next, but they generally include multiple opportunities to shop; lessons in french cuisine; maybe a lesson in floral art or perfume making. I curate the itinerary as if I were spending a week with good friends, and I include all the things that I love to do.

Of course there are always plenty of opportunities to shop, to pause and simply sit to watch the world go by. We are driven everywhere by our bilingual and totally charming chauffeurs, for whom nothing is too much trouble.

During the coming tours I will be assisted by Natalie and Stephanie and we are already taking bookings for all of the following dates.

21-26 September 2021 – our Brocante tour in Normandy and Paris – this trip includes a full day at the wonderful antique fair at Chatou. We also enjoy many other opportunities to shop for antiques and brocante and of course we can help you getting your purchases home safely! This tour is already more than half full, so if you are interested be sure to let us know as soon as possible.

18-23 May 2022 – new on the MFCH agenda! we will be whisking a small group of guests down to the Dordogne, and visiting some of the truly exceptional gardens in this region, which is so rich in history and beautiful landscapes. Our base will be a stunning small hotel, loaded with character.

We include the renowned gardens of Marqueyssac and Erygnac, but also a couple of less well known, private gardens whose owners will tour us personally and explain how they design and maintain their property.

The trip also includes a lesson in gourmet cooking, and of course some opportunities to shop.

15-20 June 2022 – we are heading down to Provence, where we’ll stay in a picture pretty village, and travel around buying antiques, taking classes in cooking, visiting artisan creators, and generally soaking in the sun-kissed Provence.

There is so much to do and to see in this area of Provence, and the shopping options can be overwhelming! The trip includes a private cooking class, a perfume class and a private garden tour.

20-25 September 2022 – Back in Normandy and Paris, on my home territory. This is the only tour that includes a stop at my home. We stay for the first three nights at a beautiful manor home in Normandy, and the final two nights we invite you to find your own hotel in Paris, giving you the opportunity to enjoy some solo time at the end of each day.

October 2022 – we have one remaining slot, which is available for a privatised tour. This is something that we often cater to, but publicise less. If you have a group of family or friends, or if you own a store and would like to travel with your own clients, and would like us to put together a tailor made tour for you, then we’ll be happy to talk! The beauty of this option is that we create the schedule according to what you would like to do and see. Simply find between 8-12 people, and let’s chat!
