Blue and White is a timeless winner in interior decorating, and works just as well with a classic interior as with something more edgy. In our box, as usual, there will be 6-8 items, each either blue, or white or blue & white. How exciting!! So much work and creativity goes into each box and it is always a joy to receive. I would love to share the May Box with a sweet friend I met while living overseas. We are dreaming of a girls’ trip to France and couldn’t think of a better way to get us motivated.
After a 3 year absence, I touched down in Paris yesterday for a long stay in France and maybe permanent. My whole being this morning when I woke, felt lighter, grounded and at home – a familiarity and the same feeling each time I come. I love the theme of the May box – blue and white have featured in my home as long as I remember (60+ years), beginning with my mother and my childhood home, my homes in different countries over the years and now my daughter’s home. It’s not something consciously passed down through the three generations, just colours that are loved and which invoke so much joy in the home. This may be the box I win!

My love of blue and white came from my mother. She’s always loved it—she has a blue and white kitchen and she gifted my husband and me a set of blue and white ironstone dishes found at a flea market. Thirty three years later I still remember the excitement of opening the beautifully wrapped and heartfelt gift—I knew coming from my mom it would be extra special.
Mom is currently recovering from a serious surgery requiring a long convalescence, and because she absolutely loved the box I sent to her last year (we live 3 states apart), I definitely plan on ordering her this box to lift her spirits.
