Time for our November Box and a giveaway!
We chose the theme ‘Midnight in Paris’ for this end of year box. Paris is a city to enjoy by day and by night. Diners often get to restaurants around 8.30 or 9pm, and it is quite normal to finish a meal around midnight, then wander back outside to walk home or back to a hotel.
Of course the Eiffel Tower performs its own kind of magic once the sun has set. It’s glittering lights sparkling on the hour every hour during the night, can be seen for miles around. A couple of times I’ve flown back into Paris at night time and been lucky enough to see the Tower sparkle from the sky.
For this November box we have curated an elegant collection that is reminiscent of Paris living, and its particularly apt name of the City of Lights. And as I found new items, I found myself remembering some favourite moments in night-time Paris over the years. Walking back to our apartment on Place Fustenberg with a musician playing solo in the light of a street lamp; driving past the Louvre museum, with its glass Pyramid shining like a jewel, or maybe crossing the river on one of the many beautiful bridges, and enjoying the ornate street lighting along the way.
I included in our November box a collection of items that I love to use. Some things for you, some for your home, and some to share. As always I’m very excited about this new collection and I hope you love it too.

There is no other place in the world like Paris. At night, it is even more outstanding. I remember flying over Paris early in the morning my first visit and seeing how beautiful it was and it has never disappointed me.
When I was ten years old I was a Brownie Scout in America. We performed a play, the scene was set in Paris. Since then I have always wanted to visit, have french crossaints, chocolate and see the markets and experience the culture.
Like others before me have commented all you have to say is PARIS and you are immediately taken to place in your head that really doesn’t need more words!

I remember a particular night returning from Hemingway’s at the Ritz and surprisingly, having a cocktail with Tom Wolfe! All the patrons were dressed up beautifully and to me, as I walked out of the Ritz and looked back it was all sparkling. A night to remember!

I spent a short but magical time in Paris once. I had a dream of being on the Eiffel Tower on my 50th birthday – and I was! I watched the sparkles out of my hotel window later that night. Beautiful!
After three years we will finally be returning to Paris in October. While there we will stay at our favorite hotel and celebrate our 35th wedding anniversary! This will surely involve “Midnight in Paris”!

I am hoping on my 50th anniversary I will be in Paris walking in the same footsteps of my great grandmother.
My grandparents were married in Nice and I was schooled by the French order, Religious of Christian Education. Regrettably, I have never been. My heart aches for all things French. I would love to win the box!! We were in Paris three years ago but only stayed 1 1/2 days. Went to the Eiffel Tower, a show and dinner. Would love to go back. Hubby and I are going to celebrate our 60th Anniversary next week and I’ve been decorating French style from the beginning.

Sadly my trip to Paris was canceled due to COVID. How I long to see that beautiful city again, visit churches and museums, and have an incredible dinner in a small cafe.
the magazine is just a beautiful view into a fresh perspective of gardens, architecture, food and style. It is inspirational in design and decor. I just love the casual country french style upon which I have designed my own home decor and colors. When people come into my home, they always say how warm and inviting it is…so thank you MFCH. I love the unveiling of each box!!!

France must be the must romantic city in the world. The photograph with the Eiffel Tower and the moon on the left, is picture perfect. If I were to visit France, I would go to the Eiffel Tower and my second visit would be the Moulin Rouge. Cannot visit Paris without those two icon’s!! I can only dream. Thank you for showing.

I visited there with my husband when we were first together, and the memories of our arrival at night – the lights, the muted colours that still seemed to glow, the delightfully crowded restaurant that we dined in, and the glorious undercurrent of exciting possibilities – are still fresh. I have always been a Dreamer, and my love for anything French began at a very young age with the gift of a beautifully illustrated Golden Book, Cinderella, and her search through the French Countryside to find her Prince Charming. Then came the gift cane Theon a beautiful black poodle skirt that my Mother created for me with a beautifully embroidered white French Poodle, wearing a red collar and leash studded with rhinestones. On my “Sweet Sixteen Happy Birthday”, I received a beautiful bottle of Chanel No5 from my brother, and I was hooked from that day forward. I did find my Prince Charming and on our 50th Wedding Anniversary, we flew to France, creating intoxicatingly Dream Come True memories of Paris and Provence that will last a lifetime.

Paris has my heart. It is where I fell in love, learned to dine and viewed art for the first time at the (old) Louvre with two tiny quiches in my pocket from LaDuree. Lighting candles at La Madeline and walking down the aisle of Notre Dame knowing I’d been there before in a woolen medieval gown wearing felted shoes. Paris has the same number of letters as heart. It lives always in mine.
I miss Paris so much! Had such fun friends there and did crazy things bien entendu. Now I’m in Maine and
I laugh over Michael Caine (as an older man living in Paris in a wonderful film I forgot the name of) saying over
and over to his relatives “I’m NOT MOVING TO MAINE. I’M STAYING IN PARIS!” Hope I will get back one day. I love your products and these boxes!

Our flight to Paris was booked immediately Australia and Europe reopened for travel post covid19. So early June our flight arrived at CDG at approximately 2030. Having collected luggage, travelled to our hotel , showered we wandered out into the glowing Paris night, and sitting on the boulevard, French champagne in hand. It was midnight in Paris! Ooh! La la! C’est la vie! ❤️

” I might not have looked, if you had not pulled so close that I caught a smell of incense, amber musk and the faded nuances of old stone….I might not have been in love, if you had stopped at one word….yet, here we are, the dark and glowing crypt of Sacre Coeur leaning in as insistent as you were….These soft memories, light dances of mind that make me remember us in Paris” I wrote this poem just now as Paris held such treasured memories thought was appropriate!

A great theme! Paris is wonderful anytime but is truly magic at night. It is the best city in the world.
I discovered MFCH with your first print issue at our local bookstore and immediately subscribed. Every issue has been a treasure. I wish I’d had MFCH for inspiration when I created The Herb of Grace, my French style shop, gardens, nursery and tearoom in the Blue Ridge Mountains of North Carolina, and later wrote a book about it – “Growing Grace”.
Midnight in Paris brings back memories of walks at night to savour the magical side and the grandly illuminated architecture of the City of Light. Growing up, Midnight in Paris was my signature perfume scent, now long gone.
During this summer, we entertained three sets of Parisian family here in Canada. One member was so smitten with my copies of MFCH, she will look for issues in Paris.
