There are a few things I love more than antiquing in France. Long before My French Country Home existed, before the Magazine, the Tours, & the Boxes, there were mornings spent wandering brocantes, quiet conversations with antique dealers, and that unmistakable thrill of discovering an objet that feels as though it has been waiting just for you.
Antiquing isn’t simply about collecting beautiful things. It’s about curiosity, patience, and learning to see – to notice details, the wear, the history, and the charm that only time can create. And this is part of the inspiration for our February Box: The Art of Antiquing.
At the center of this Box is my newest book, The Art of Antiquing in France.
This book has been living in my head (and my heart) for many years. Writing it allowed me to put together everything I’ve learned from decades spent exploring flea markets, village fairs, antique shops, and hidden addresses across France. It’s a very personal guide, filled with practical advice, favorite destinations, stories, and insights into how I choose and live with antique pieces in my own home.
I will personally sign every copy included in the February Box, and I look forward to sharing it with you.
This Box will also include one of the first of four prints by our new resident artist, Yves Damin.
Yves is a French artist whose work is inspired by everyday life, architecture, and the quiet beauty found in familiar places. His drawings celebrate detail, craftsmanship, and the art of observation.
As with each of our Subscription Boxes, this one has been curated slowly and thoughtfully, with a focus on timeless pieces inspired by the art of antiquing and France. I can’t wait for you to discover everything inside.
And to celebrate the launch of my new book, two lucky readers will have the chance to win a February Box – a lovely way to experience this collection yourself.

I would love to win one of your fabulous boxes! (Sorry I couldn’t figure out how to sign up on FaceBook). I would also love to join you en Provence on one of your tours. Perhaps next year?!

I used to sell vintage items. I have been to Paris one time, but got sick and didn’t get to go to a brocante. I would be overjoyed to win this box!

I love the fact that your book is “a very personal guide” because that means it is written with heart and soul. I can imagine it as the bones of a spectacular home that is filled with labors of love and acquired treasures throughout ones life. It would be an honor to add your lifetime treasure to my collection.
What a beautifully curated book. You did such a wonderful job. Can’t wait to read it and I’m keeping my fingers crossed for the special drawing happening on Feb 22nd.

Visiting France has been on my bucket list for the last 25 years and I am finally going this coming May to celebrate our 40th Wedding Anniversary. Going to a brocante fair is one of the things we want to do when in Paris. I would love to receive a copy of your book ahead of time to glean all I should do at one of the fairs. Thank you so much! (I don’t have an Instagram account but do follow you on Facebook). 🙂
My Sister will love this. Thanks.
Congratulations on your book. It would be wonderful to win this box. I am going through a separation and it would be the perfect way to add a touch of beauty to my new place. Like another person commented, I also follow you on Instagram but do not have Facebook. Best wishes from New Zealand.
This book sounds wonderful. It would be very helpful
I would love to receive this! I would love to see how it compares with my experience antiquing in Italy.
The next time I visit France, I would love to explore a brocante — or perhaps several — and discover a treasure that not only captures the spirit of my travels in that moment, but becomes a memory I can bring home with me.
The beautiful prints by Yves Damin are such an added treat, transporting us right to France.
What better companion for finding that special brocante treasure than your book to guide the way? What a truly beautiful giveaway.

Congratulations on your book! Getting them out is a major achievement. I know this, having seen my son’s efforts. I was in France for the 1990 Winter Games in Albertville, and my visits have been amongst my most cherished moments. I would love to win one of your boxes, and recapture part of those wonderful times. Merci beaucoup!
