I may have been on holiday last week, but nothing could have kept me from the Provençal brocante fairs. Up early, soaking in the very special light in the south of France and rooting around in tiny village fairs
I cam back with some great findings, to the despair of my family, who – all considered – proved extremely understanding, and gave me all the help I needed to pack and haul the treasures safely home.
I found sets of glasses, tarnished sliver cutlery and trays, cut glass and crystal dishes and salt cellars;
Linen, but you can’t be surprised by that! I found some beautiful quality linen sheets, and some metis sheets still in their original packing – unused, and this FANTASTIC piece of ticking, that Ralph Lauren would be proud to include in a collection!

Great finds. I have never seen birdcages quite like these.
What beautiful things!
Wow, I am especially jealous of the birdcages, they are extremely rare! If I had known that you were going to be in Provence, I would have given you some addresses to see. 🙂 Next time!
You have me dreaming……..beautiful pieces from a stunning location. I hope there are some treasures left for me to buy by the time the renovations of our house in France are completed. Unfortunately they have yet to start. Currently all of the local artisans are on holiday……….in Provence!
I would be snatching up all the linens I could if I were there!

The cream linens with the white embroidery are so beautiful! And I can just see my homemade rose liqueur in those darling little glasses…
Once again, some great finds. The patina of the the buildings and iron in Provence are beautiful!

Lucky you to live where you can come across the beautiful linens. I go to flea markets to try to find the gems you found. I love fabrics–especially french cotton and old linens.
What a lot of nice things you got home with you, would be happy just to get me one of the cages.Christina
Wow a sojourn to the South of France and you return with all those beauties. Now that's my idea of heaven.
Have a great weekend.
Love the linens. Are there ghosts? There is an optical illusion that looks like a human sitting with his legs crossed on the balcony in the second photo. I hope I'm not the only one who sees him. *grins*
Welcome home! Ihope you enjoyed the trip! Fabulous finds, as always!
Love the bird cages!
A birdcage or two and the linen would keep me happy – lovely loot!!!
Your photos are just beautiful. Makes me happy and smiley – all the way down here in Australia
