I have already shown you this house, over a year ago actually. It’s in a little village along the valley from us, and despite it’s abandoned air, it never fails to slow me in my tracks.
As I drove back from an early brocante this morning, I swung by to see the river in the mist. I’m loving this season, the colours are soft and gentle, and the mist in the air today makes it look like I’ve used a soft focus on my camera lens.

My Sunday offering to you,
I hope it reflects the quiet and gentle mood in the valley today,
time to charge our batteries before the hectic week ahead.

Oh my, this made my heart leap! This house makes me dream and most certainly because of your truly gorgeous, painterly photographs of it. Amazing.
A better treat than a croissant for this Sunday morning…merci.
So beautiful – thank you – such a contrast to our hot day with hot light and hot colours in Sydney!
What a wonderful house! Beautiful photos.
Have a nice sunday,
Markus

most evocative–and having just returned from two glorious weeks in France, it feels so real–it needs to be loved! Surely you need another house to lavish with TLC?
My jaw just about hit the keyboard!! This place looks simply magical. Especially how you've captured it with the autumn mist. Wow!

Kaunista mutta vähän kyllä pelottavaaki.. Tuonne en ehkä menisi pimeällä!
My dream house. Sigh.
Thank you.
These photos have a dreamy quality to them and make me wonder about those who must have lived in this house over the years.
PS. I just came back in order to send this to my Mom and think that it is a verrry good idea that you put your watermark on the second photo–I could definitely imagine it being stolen or "borrowed" otherwise, unfortunately. Again, bravo for a gorgeous post!
Sharon !
J'adore ce genre de maison ! L'ambiance de brume ajoute encore un peu de mystère…. Merci pour ces belle photos !

I love fog! It softens the landscape and muffles sound. The beauty of silence.
Such beautiful images Sharon…..WHat a magical day…xv
Those images in the fog are beautiful. I love that bridge with the arches…such an amazing morning to be out and about with the camera. You've got a painterly eye Sharon.
Gyönyörű fotók.
I used to own a white house that had a virginia creeper climbing up the front. At this time of year it looked as if it was on fire. Beautiful
Be still my heart.
That is just beyond lovely.
Dreamy fabulous-ness!!!

We are also having a cool day, Spring will be here soon but for now, it is chilly and grey.

Oh, I see…Monet wasn't an impressionist. WE are the impressionists. He was the realist, merely painting what he saw. Thank you, Sharon! Someday…
This is stunning! Such beautiful gates make me gerontologists near me
want to stalk someone too. What lies behind them.
