an autumn dream

by Sharon Santoni
I have already shown you this house, over a year ago actually.   It’s in a little village along the valley from us, and despite it’s abandoned air, it never fails to slow me in my tracks.
As I drove back from an early brocante this morning, I swung by to see the river in the mist.  I’m loving this season, the colours are soft and gentle, and the mist in the air today makes it look like I’ve used a soft focus on my camera lens.

My Sunday offering to you,
I hope it reflects the quiet and gentle mood in the valley today,
time to charge our batteries before the hectic week ahead.

Oh my, this made my heart leap! This house makes me dream and most certainly because of your truly gorgeous, painterly photographs of it. Amazing.

A better treat than a croissant for this Sunday morning…merci.

most evocative–and having just returned from two glorious weeks in France, it feels so real–it needs to be loved! Surely you need another house to lavish with TLC?

PS. I just came back in order to send this to my Mom and think that it is a verrry good idea that you put your watermark on the second photo–I could definitely imagine it being stolen or "borrowed" otherwise, unfortunately. Again, bravo for a gorgeous post!
