Images of fresh snow, excited dogs, worried daffodils, snow arrived in the night and is promised to continue falling until Tuesday. As usual, Normandy is hopelessly under equipped to deal with even a few inches of snow, so my children are delighted at the prospect of a day off school, huddled down at home, keeping the fire going.
Friends over for lunch today, cakes in the oven already, guinea fowl on the menu, the first day of being snowed in is always fun!
Hope you are enjoying a good weekend, à demain

Bon dimanche d'ici à travers la Manche!
Lovely pictures!
Have a nice sunday,

Lovely pictures! Isn't amazing how our animals who are not too familiar with snow react on the first snow each winter. No snow over here so far but temps down to 12°C in the morning – my old heeler loves it!

What a gorgeous photo. Sharon, a question.
I'm always reading that French women stay slim, by not eating desserts, etc. Yet, on all of the "French" blogs I read, everyone is always making desserts?
So, am very curious as to what really happens when the cake comes to the table?
Isn't it wonderful!!!!!?????!!!!
Gibson has gotten so big. I guess it's inevitable.
Macha and Charlotte were absolutely thrilled. First reaction on the doorstep was , "No, it's not true." Second reaction, "Let's goooooo."
xoxo,
Tish

Bonjour Sharon,
Encore de la neige en Normandie ! Ici c'est le soleil et le gel ! Petite balade d'une heure au pas à cheval. Vos chevaux ont de belles toison ! Dorment-ils dehors ?
Céline.
Snow has even reached the uk. We are in a winter wonderland here too.
What wonderful pictures. Love the shot of the Westie with the big dog. Cute.
Is there anything better than pictures of animals covered in snow??
The most sublime photographs ever!!
Send some of that beautiful snow my way please!!
Great pictures of the snowy animals. I have yet to see any snow this winter, so I'm envious of yours. (I like your line about the worried daffodils.)
Beautiful pictures!
Regards from Sweden
Beautiful photos, and such adorable dogs. Thank you for your wonderful blog.
Well here in canada we have no snow and it is spring like in temperature. Grass is green and we have had hardly any snow at all. I am not complaining but the weather sure is weird.
I like the way you said that it's fun being snowed in on the "first" day. It can get old quickly. But there is something magical about snow falling.
Here we are in Canada with temps around 10 degrees. Crazy weather. Our youngest daughter is in Rome with 6 inches of snow.
Stay cozy.
Gorgeous post!! Loved the photos of your adorable furbabies!!! Enjoy your snowed in day..xo HHL
Love the snow pictures and your adorable pets…

Great pics. I wish we would get some snow but the way its looking were not. We have had a unusual mild winter this year .
LOVE these photos – must be magical – coming from Australia, it's something I've never experienced – on my bucket list! Thank you and keep posting snow!
Warm wishes from Sydney Fx
What a winter wonderland! Each photograph is a truly a postcard! Stay warm!
No snow here, but it is cold. I'm snuggled in by a cozy fire. Wonderful snowy shots. Stay warm ~ sarah
As my darling Mum would say 'Picture Perfect Postcard' images Sharon. It's Summer here but you wouldn't know it. Had to fire up the electric blanket for a few minutes last night to take the icicles off the sheets. I'm desperate for our traditional week of 7 + days over 110F to round the Season off sensibly! Enjoy your day of being tucked up at home.

What beautiful photos, Sharon! I heard on the news that you were getting alot of snow this winter along with lots of cold temps. Here in Michigan, we've had the mildest, sunniest winter since 1928! Go figure, huh….??? lol! Hope you enjoyed a warm, snuggly day inside!
xoxo laurie

Sharon I adore these pictures.Stunning shots of the dogs & horses. They made a smile on my face. I must take the children on a vacation to the snow , living in a sunny state it would be a lovely change. How wonderful that your landscape can totally change throughout the year. Thankyou for bringing the other side of the world a little closer on a daily basis.
