What can I say?! Travelling a thousand kilometers to see friends, in a dreamy setting, with the sunshine and the southern light, and the southern accent ….. it was exactly what we needed!
As promised … many pictures and few words!
Suffice it to say that life is good, we are blessed, and that even on holiday, I couldn’t resist an early brocante:)
I’ll let you judge from the pictures …..
SO happy with the textiles I found at the brocante fair at 6 this morning, old quilts, sheets and other textiles …
Do you recognise this white ball of loveliness? It is Gatsby le Mgnifique, who sometimes comes to visit Gibson in Normandy. I was missing Gibson and Ghetto for my pics, so Gatsby generously agreed to step in as understudy.
Pop by again tomorrow, our friends have lined up so much for us to do and for me to photograph!!

Provence looks amazing as always but the star of your post has to be the dog!
I've got one just like it.
Hope you have a great time and find more treasures, the fabric you picked up is so lovely too.

this is what I seek…and that little puppy dog has an old soul!
Just pinned the last picture onto my Pinterest board "Westie Sightings"! so very cute….
Hi Sharon…..what a fabulous place you are visiting. Have not yet been Provence…but I WILL GET THRERE……YET!!! LOL
xo
Jo
that pink quilt, I wonder how much?
Those boutis are getting very, very hard to find in good shape, Sharon. Leave it to you to swoop in and scoop up two! Bravo!
So very happy you are enjoying your time here, although I am scratching my head as to where you are!
Is that the west highland named "gatsby"? As I wrote earlier, two of my terriers are west highlands. They're not being at all "decorative" today; one of them found, in the midst of all the chaos of moving, a small, plastic bottle of india-ink and brought it into the bed while I was taking a nap.
The predictable ensued.
What a mess….

Thanks for a lovely tour.
Someday!!
Fabulous fabulous images. I'm truly drooling, and I want that darling puppy.
So picturesque and love the bed linen.
Oh Sharon…..I'm GREEN with envy. So lovely to see the Provence area again through your lovely photos. Your Brocante purchase are just wonderful, one of those quilts would look quite gorgeous in my home. Sigh!!
Enjoy your time in the south and I'm looking forward to your next post.

Oh My ! and Lucky you !
How exciting. I'm sure it was worth getting up at 6:00 a.m. to find the best items! Can't wait to see more photos. Enjoy:)
What a darling Westie! I have one too 🙂 It speaks french no doubt?
I'm intrigued. Southern accents in the U.S. sound like a slow summer sprawl in the sunshine and a taste of honey. If I gave them a color I would call them amber. What does a southern French accent sound like?
You can see that Gatsby is definitely a Hollywood kind of dog. He's A STAR.
So now I want to come over now! We go away for a week on Tuesday, so perhaps we can finalise our trip when we get back. Can't wait. Gorgeous pictures.
Hi! I visited the Provence last May.. wonderful! In about two weeks I'll be in Britain! I love to make trips on France!!
Kisses!
Monica
