Invited to lunch today, I wanted to take my friend a home made gift. I knew she was decorating on a white theme this year, so using materials from the garden I made her a simple white/grey/green wreath for her door.
Using a circle made of wisteria branches, I wired a grey leaf from a plant whose name I’ve forgotten, and some of my favourite mistletoe all around the wreath without building up the weight too much.
Tied with a narrow and simple ribbon in the same colour scheme
and that’s it!
a simple gift, to say a heartfelt thank you …

Lovely! Lychnis or [Rose] Campion: love the white/silvery foliage. Easily grown from seed & very drought tolerant. 😉
Simple, elegant and charming. I'm impressed! Mery Christmas. Jenny
If the wreath were mine I'd want it to last forever, but much of its beauty is in its ephemeral nature. What a thoughtful gift giver you are.
J'adore la simplicité et le raffinement de cette couronne intemporelle

Simply wonderful! How I wish you had come to my house for dinner; what a great gift you made.
How beautiful!
I'd LOVE to receive one of these Sharon!
Was für eine schöne, duftige Idee Salbei mit hinein zu arbeiten.
Liebe Grüße Babsi
That's a beautiful hostess gift – one that any of us would be so happy to receive.
You are so gifted! When I have tried to make wreaths they didn't look anything near perfect.

I love the fact that mistletoe grows in your garden! I have to buy my mistletoe and holly from the florist here in southern Minnesota.
Beautiful – and how sweet to encourage kissing at the front door :)! Have a warm and peaceful weekend, Cynthia
I bet she adored the wreath! It's beautiful!
She must have adored it. So sweet… love the homemade factor.
Simple but beautiful … a gift from the heart. Isn't it nice to have special friends.
So lovely Sharon… xv
Sharon:
Beautiful wreath….make me one!! S
You are such a lovely friend. x
So very lovely and such a sweet gift! If not Lychnis, perhaps it's Lambs Ear?
Sharon, you are one very talented and creative woman. I don't know how you come up with everything you do. It's very inspiring!
what a lovely, thoughtful gift!
A wonderful hostess gift. I'm sure it was much admired and appreciated.
A lovely gift for anyone Sharon! I love to also see wreaths as centerpieces with a candle!

You are such a sweet friend! Homemade gifts are truly the best. Lucky you to have the foliage still in your garden. We cannot grow mistletoe and my lambs ears are long gone. The only greens I have left are junipers and pine trees. Oh to live in France where life is sweeter and slower. Even the plants live longer lol!!!
So delicate and exquisite! And so very French!!!!!!
