Oh, that is as NOTHING compared to the time I was painting a friend's kitchen ceiling in the celadon-green she'd chosen…..and my youngest west highland terrier (now 11, but only a year old then) came running through the kitchen….hit the card-table on which the painting supplies were standing (I was up on a ladder at that moment)….and one of the legs folded-under….and the whole business (including a gallon-can of celdaon-green, oil-based enamel) came crashing down on her.

the results required multiple trips to the vet and the groomer. You can't simply plunge a year-old, white terrier into an acetone bath.

she looked HORRIBLE (shaven, basically) for at least another six months, until some of the hair grew back out, etcetera.

Advisedly yours as ever,

David Terry

Ghetto looks very pretty after his bath. Someone should tell him a story about cement shoes! :-0

I think that if he was human, he would be my son's alter ego! Ghetto doesn't look a bit contrite!

Poor Ghetto, so happy but gets into all sorts of trouble. I used to have a dog just like him (Airedale) and, when older, they make excellent watch dogs. Their instincts are bird hunting and they will point when they see their target. They have a great disposition and are totally loyal to their owners. Enjoy!

I do not know many Jack Russells who would have hesitated stepping into French cement, so why should Ghetto? 🙂 Veronique (French Girl in Seattle)

Oh dear, sweet bad pup! No photos of the cement with paw prints?

Our Ruby also really hates baths, but I found a solution to make bathtime easier on her … and on me, too. I tie her to the post of our gazebo outside the kitchen door so she can't get away, and I smear a little bit of peanut butter on the post for her to lick while I wash. (I run a hose from the kitchen sink, so I have warm water forher bath.) Ruby concentrates on licking the post to get her treat, and I lather and rinse (and replenish the peanut butter as necessary) and we both get through the bath just fine. This works well for nail clipping, too, which she also dislikes.

Sharon,
With a face like little Ghetto, I think he'd get away with total mischief in our house. He is so darn cute, but he does look like he could be up to something all the time! lol. I'm just glad the cement came off of this wiry coat.

Painter returned 2 weeks ago.

Painter remembered.

Mad scramble, every time to shut the door AGAINST Laskett, California Ragdoll cat.

Finally, Laskett not running thru a paint can lid with his hairy-hairy-hairy paws.

Love every time you show the children in trouble.

Thanks for the update. Ghetto is maintaining the reputation of wire haired fox terriers everywhere. Their curious, excitable and intelligent natures bring all kinds of interesting adventures into their family's lives.

Oh dear! Ghetto has done it again! He just be your "problem child" There's one in every family. I imagine if he's like dogs I've had in the past, he then gets "the look" and is told that it's a good things he's cute! Glad that the cement came out. That could have been a nightmare! Have a good week! Hugs, Leena

I love reading about Ghetto's misadventures; I have a naughty one of my own. We have a wonderfully funny web site/facebook page here in the US call "Dog Shaming" – http://www.dogshaming.com. Ghetto could easily make regular appearances!

Gibson, "the Sweetest Teddy-Bear Pup" warms my heart…Ghetto, on the other hand, makes me laugh out loud with his continual shenanigans! Curiosity killed the cat? Well, I hope that Ghetto has at least nine lives…he's going to need them.
I look at his photos and I just HAVE to laugh. He looks so cute and SO innocent. He reminds me of one of my little granddaughters…A unique mind of her own…incorrigible!
xoxo, Chris
