[blank]An early excursion this morning again, to see what little treasures I could bring home. Down winding lanes, and across meandering rivers …[blank]
Energy levels were not high this morning, this happens, you know, especially after late nights…
Consequently I only shopped for small things that would fit into my basket, or almost. I am rather pleased with the way their colours came together for the loot shoot. Muted beige, and grey, tarnished silver, brown transfer ware, home spun linen … my sort of stuff, my kind of colours….[blank]
[blank]
[blank]Love the postal sack and this wicker bird cage which I think would have been used for taking a bird to market, very charming …[blank]
[blank]a sweet box from a jewellers,
and this tiny sauce or mustard pot[blank]
[blank] and a trophy for first prize in a trotters race[blank]
[blank]also this engraved glass biscuit box …[blank]
[blank]and a champagne bucket[blank]
[blank]and finally some homespun sheets,
because obviously I didn’t have enough of those …hmmm…[blank]
[blank]How about you? What fun have you been up to this weekend?[blank]

I love the biscuit box. I've never seen a square one, only round before.
I love the wicker bird cage and trophy!
Quelles jolies trouvailles! Anita
I see my mother's books there:)
Love the wicker..
Is that l'Isle Sur La Sorgue?
Sharon those colors literally make my heart sing….GORGEOUS with a capital G!! Love it all…lucky lady!
Okay, I'm envious; and curious about the fabric? with the word FRANCE on it…?
Thanks.
Ogni volta che passo da te mi perdo nelle tue incantevoli foto brocante!
un bacio dall'Italia

In answer to your question, preparing the guest house for my daughter's visit. Always fun to catch up and chat in the garden.
Beautiful pictures! Besides working, I've been dreaming about our vacation in France! 3 more weeks, and then we'll be in Paris for a week and then Lorgues in Provence for a week. I'm very excited! Can you recommend any places in Paris for very reasonable brocante shopping?
Hi Sharon, I love brocante fairs and all your beautiful findings, especially the mug… it's the first time I read your blog and am very interested in your September brocante tour. Could you send me some more information about? Thanks a lot!!
Lovely.
love love love it all! I close my eyes and pretend I'm there….Colx
Oh, I love that trophy. Didn't think about coming across those when I come to France in September.
I vote for the square biscuit jar, my sister always goes for the linens. You are very brave to get up so early, but I guess that is why you manage to come home with the good stuff. I made a farro salad that I hope to post Wednesday.
Man oh man Sharon…I love that trophy! I love the transfer ware mug, the postal bag, I would never make it in France because I would give "shop to you drop" a whole new meaning. But of course, that would be until I ran out of money and time.:)

Love the loot Sharon. Beautiful photos & me this weekend? I sewed a very soft cotton summer robe for myself. I shopped for one & could never find what I wanted so off to the fabric store for just the perfect color & perfect summer weight. It's done & turned out lovely.
The wicker bird cage catched my eye. How lucky you found it. All a perfect loot shot…but didn't you want to buy only things they fit in your basket? French brocantes are real goldmines and hence enticing.
I love the biccy jar! I wish I could really buy up at these brocantes whilst in France…I always tend to choose small items that I can get in my case…maybe I should look into shipping etc! Jill
My kind of things. Love the muted colors. Weekend spent working on latest project: lovely painted terra cotta flowerpots with French typography transfers. Lovely!!
Its béen à while since my last visit and I am so glad I stopped by today, your treasure are the best and not a thing I would not turn away. The birdcage is charming, I featured a birdcage I. My last post and adore them.
The trophy cup is also a favorite the patina of tarnish makes it that much more desirable. Loving your aged style of pale and more pale every piece would fit right into the look and feel of my design style.
I have to say that stone wall riddled with the stain of moss green, and grey leaves me breathless wishing it were in my yard.
I have to mention I love the grain sack France 7 I have been creating French address numbers on vintage zinc and salvaged mahogany using the number 7 and number 2 you should stop over to see.
Loving all things French over here, keep inspiring your French grace and beauty.
Bisous
