If you are in Paris next weekend, and you would like to do something a little out of the ordinary, and maybe leave with piece of Parisian history in your bags then this is for you.
The glamorous Hotel Lutetia, on the left Bank has closed for a major three year renovation. They are not alone of course, the Crillon is also having a facelift and should re-open next year.
Before starting the work they intend to auction off the entire contents of the hotel. This will include the hotel silver, paintings and other artworks, as well as 3000 pieces of furniture and 8000 bottles of wine and spirits.
If you would like to peruse the goods before the big day, then you need to visit the hotel between the 15-18 May. And if you see something you just love, then either leave orders to purchase or prolong your stay, and enjoy the auction from the 19th to the 25th.
You can find more details or if you wish to bid online, just pop over and visit here

Is there a site with all the districts explained? If not, please don’t discontinue that process – very informative and educational and enjoyable!!!!
